If you’re looking to save money at the parks, cutting down on food costs is one of the best ways to do it. The cost of food during a Walt Disney World vacation adds up quickly! Our cheap food guide to Walt Disney World is a great place to start to finding cheap and delicious food!

Here are some tips to help you cut down on cost during your dining experiences:

  • Eat mainly at quick-service restaurants- these will be more affordable than table service restaurants and you don’t have to worry about gratuity.
  • Pack snacks and/or a lunch. You are allowed to bring in food into the Walt Disney World parks so take advantage and pack as much as you can! Even packing one meal can save a family of four more than $50.
  • Eat breakfast before you come at your hotel. Every meal eaten outside of the parks saves money for when you’re there!
  • Order menu options a la carte if you don’t think your family will eat the sides that come with it.
  • Consider sharing larger portions between two people before ordering individually- depending on the quick-service option these portions can be pretty big!
  • Only consider a dining plan if you’ve done the math and think you will save money in the long run. It’s far too common to see people on the last evening of their stay trying to use up all their food vouchers.
