Reserving Dining at Walt Disney World
Guests of Disney Resort Hotels (including Disney Vacation Club Guests) can enjoy an extended window for making dining reservations. Starting 60 days in advance of your arrival date, you can book dining for the entire length of your Resort stay—up to 10 days.
For guests not staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, will need to book each day at the 60 day mark.
You can make dining reservations online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. Guests under 18 years of age must have parent or guardian permission to call. If you miss out and don’t find a reservation, I recommend trying Mouse Watcher which will search relentlessly for a variety of days/times for your chosen restaurant for $5 per restaurant search. While many free services like this exist, I’ve found this one to be the most successful.
Dietary Constraints and Healthy Food Options at Walt Disney World
Healthy food options can be found around the parks in select areas- we recommend using our restaurant guides for each park to help you find those options in advance so you’re prepared! We have also put together a guide to eating healthy and handling dietary constraints at Disney World. Read about all the best healthy options at Walt Disney World >
Saving Money on Dining at Walt Disney World
If you’re looking to save money at the parks, cutting down on food costs is one of the best ways to do it. The cost of food during a Walt Disney World vacation adds up quickly! Our cheap food guide to Walt Disney World is a great place to start to finding cheap and delicious food!
Here are some tips to help you cut down on cost during your dining experiences:
- Eat mainly at quick-service restaurants- these will be more affordable than table service restaurants and you don’t have to worry about gratuity.
- Pack snacks and/or a lunch. You are allowed to bring in food into the Walt Disney World parks so take advantage and pack as much as you can! Even packing one meal can save a family of four more than $50.
- Eat breakfast before you come at your hotel. Every meal eaten outside of the parks saves money for when you’re there!
- Order menu options a la carte if you don’t think your family will eat the sides that come with it.
- Consider sharing larger portions between two people before ordering individually- depending on the quick-service option these portions can be pretty big!
- Only consider a dining plan if you’ve done the math and think you will save money in the long run. It’s far too common to see people on the last evening of their stay trying to use up all their food vouchers.
