Epcot’s San Angel Inn Review- Dine Next to the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros

Epcot’s San Angel Inn Restaurante is located inside the Mexico Pavilion across from the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros! The theme for this restaurant is excellent as it’s modeled after a 17th-century hacienda at the base of Mayan ruins at twilight. For folks that have visited Disneyland, this restaurant reminded me a lot of the Blue Bayou inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride with the way it transports you to another place. San Angel Inn Review

Dining at the San Angel Inn inside the Mexico pavilion was actually a spontaneous decision! We were in line for the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros when we saw the restaurant and managed to grab a walk up reservation.

Inside of the pavilion - San Angel Inn review

After going through an art gallery (which was currently featuring the movie Coco) you’ll enter the main pavilion with shopping, the San Angel Inn Restaurante and the Three Caballeros ride.

Restaurant tables and chairs- San Angel Inn review

The restaurant is dimly lit but not so much that you cannot see well.

For folks that frequent Disneyland, it really reminded me of the Blue Bayou with the theme of dining under a night sky in a faraway place. I really loved it and we were seated right at the railing so we could watch the boats from the Gran Fiesta Tour sail by. My son was over the moon about it and he says this was his absolute favorite restaurant we went to at Disney World. So it definitely made an impression! If you’re looking for a great theme that’s a bit more affordable than the cast dining at Magic Kingdom this is a wonderful choice.

You’ll be brought chips and salsa to start

There’s a QR code to scan but my phone wasn’t getting great service inside the pavilion so they brought me a paper menu

My son ordered a kids side salad which was a decent portion.

San Angel Inn review

Kids meal with quesadilla, rice, and corn.

The food was great although we didn’t order as large of a meal as we might have normally if we were enjoying it for dinner. Since our dining was spontaneous, and I’d already been eating my way around the Food & Wine Festival, we kept it simple. But I loved what we did enjoy and I cannot wait to try this restaurant again! The service was exceptional, quick, and courteous. Everything you can expect from Disney! You can view the full menu here to see the large variety of options they offer.

But our favorite part was the theme and being able to dine so close to the Gran Fiesta Tour with The Three Caballeros, that made the experience special in our minds.
