Now, we need your help to continue serving our readers across platforms. We are currently looking to expand our team of writers to continue to grow our content on Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disney Vacation Club, and Universal Orlando.
Who Should Apply
The below positions are extremely unique so we would never presume to ask for previous experience exactly in this area. We are always learning and expect our team to be as well. The most important requirement is a curious worker that is ready to adapt this work/output based on feedback.
Someone with strong writing skills who will be dedicated to creating content about Disney to help our audiences plan their vacations to Disney, Universal, and beyond. Our audience is extremely diverse and so we strongly encourage people of all genders and backgrounds – women, men, LGBTIA, BIPOC – to apply.

Open Positions
These are the current open positions we have now on Mickey Visit along with their job requirements. The below positions will all begin as 1099 contract work but can grow dramatically. These are roles you can balance with other commitments in your life while covering a topic you are passionate about. If you do not see a role listed that is applicable to our coverage areas and are interested in another specific topic, please still complete the application form and select “other” as the position. Guide Writer – Expect to commit 5-10 hours per week minimum
Looking for experienced writers to create evergreen content guides based on Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, or Universal Orlando. Will hire writers specific to each destination.
Writers may be expected to complete outside research while also providing thoughtful analysis and extensive detail on their assigned topics. This role requires constant use of WordPress to write and format images. Prior experience with search engine optimization is preferred. Article topics may include comprehensive guides to larger umbrella topics, reviews, theme park strategies, and complex subjects that require expert writing. Recent and frequent theme park experience is required in order to provide thoughtful analysis based on personal expertise. Applicants should be well versed in the revision process of writing and well practiced at receiving/applying feedback.
Content writers are asked to plan to submit 8-10 articles per month which we estimate should take 5-10 hours a week. There is room to ramp up from here based on performance. Pay is per article and varies by article assignment with a range of $40-70 per article. Articles will be reviewed by the Content Director and content writers are expected to follow the Mickey Visit writer guidelines to receive article approval. The number of article assignments per month could increase based on performance as could rate per article.

List Writer – Expect to commit 15 hrs per week at least
We are currently hiring for a prolific writer to create list-style articles focused on Disney Parks, family travel, and theme parks generally. The role requires intense attention to detail, constant use of WordPress to write articles and format images, and juggling of content topics. Must be creative and have demonstrated experience writing. Mentorship will be provided by Mickey Visit editorial staff. Some search engine optimization experience is preferred.

Expect article load to lead to a commitment of around 15 hrs per week for this role. Timing is flexible. The pay will initially be $35 per article and could increase based on performance. Article amount could also increase based on performance. Articles will be reviewed by the editor and content writers are expected to follow the Mickey Visit writer guidelines to receive article approval.
