Beaches and Cream Food Review

This was one of the dining reservations I had a harder time getting for our trip due to the popularity of this dining location. If you want to eat here, don't hesitate to grab a reservation right when your window opens up. There's also a to-go window guests can utilize which is another way to enjoy their famous ice cream even if you don't get a reservation. I actually lucked out on this dining reservation by grabbing a last minute cancellation using one of the websites I mention in my last minute dining reservations tips guide.

You can cruise the menu before your arrival so you can see the traditional American food offerings along with their popular souvenir ice cream dishes and milkshakes.

The famous item on the Beaches and Cream menu is the Kitchen Sink ice cream dish. Each time of these comes out, sirens flash and Cast Members stop what they are doing to recite a fun spiel about the dish. In the Kitchen Sink you'll find scoops of Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Cookies ‘n Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chip topped with, Hot Fudge, Peanut Butter, SNICKERS® pieces, Fresh-baked Brownie, and every other topping that they have currently. It was crazy!

We enjoyed our Beaches & Cream reservation after the parks closed for a late dinner/ice cream snack. We took an Uber straight from Magic Kingdom to the Beach Club Resort and it was an easy process. I always recommend utilizing rideshare over Disney transportation if you have a dining reservation you're in a rush to get to and it worked well for us. If you end up arriving early, you can take the time to check out the resort which we always enjoy doing. I like to look in the resort gift shops as sometimes you can find things that my be sold out or in limited quantities in the theme parks!

Since the theme is an old school soda shop, there are some shared booth seating but they are currently spaced out considerably right now.
If you look closely you can see the plexiglass installed to separate parties from each other.

We each kept it simple and got the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Which was delicious!
Our star of the night..! This is the smaller kitchen sink which is great for two people to share. We still had a hard time finishing it!

Kids will love this restaurant- the atmosphere and eye catching ice cream dishes are kid paradise.

We had a late reservation at 8:30PM which worked well for a nice late night meal and snack before we headed off to our resort before bed. But come with empty bellies- we had a hard time finishing our ice cream sink and next time I think we'll make this meal the main event of our day! There are so many amazing milkshakes to try along with great food that you really can't go wrong.

I highly recommend this restaurant! This could be a great way to start off your arrival day if you're not heading to the parks by heading here for dinner! Or you can do what we did and add it on as a late night dinner after a day at the parks. Regardless of what you do, I guarantee you'll enjoy it.

More Food Options at Beaches and Cream

During my recent trip to Walt Disney World I met a friend at Beaches and Cream for dinner and some ice cream. We did not have a reservation in advance but were able to join the walk up waiting list with a wait of about 10 minutes. The two of us were seated at the counter near where the food and ice cream come out of the open kitchen.

We each chose different sandwich options from the menu. I had the Reuben and she has the French Dip sandwich. I was very pleased with my Reuben. There was plenty of meat and the fries were perfect. Just what I was looking for when I ordered the dish. After dinner we were debating ordering ice cream – in hindsight I don't know how we had any thought of escaping without trying something.

Before we could order our dessert, the group next to us offered to share their LARGE kitchen sink with us. Our server brought us some bowls and we each had a couple of scoops from the kitchen sink. When they said they have every kind of dessert in that ice cream dish they mean it. We had banana, brownie, oreo, candied oranges, and more hidden in our ice cream.

  1. Why would you take an Uber to go from the MK to the Beach Club, when you can make the same trip FOR FREE on a resort bus? The cost of food in WDW is high enough as it is! You should take full advantage of every freebie that Diz offers!
