The Little Man of Disneyland, Patrick Begorra, is a leprechaun who was first introduced in the Little Man of Disneyland, one of the Disney Little Golden Books published in the same year as Disneyland's opening in 1955. You can see the book available on Amazon here.

The story goes that Patrick Begorra lived in a tree among Anaheim's orange groves and saw Mickey, Goofy, Donald, and Pluto coming through preparing for the construction of Disneyland. The characters invite the leprechaun to visit the Walt Disney Studio to see the plans for Disneyland and take him there by helicopter. Patrick approves of the plan to build Disneyland but asks that they give him a place to live there, and he chooses a tree in Adventureland, where he still dwells present day.
