You will have the option to select your own menu items and flavors that fit your own personal taste if you don’t want what’s on the pre-planned menu. The menu is always an important factor in Disney World wedding cost.
The menus are divided into five categories: Plated Menus, Buffet and Food Station Menus, Beverage Service Options, Desserts, and Cakes.
- Plated Menus
- When you choose a plated dinner, your guests will be able to remain seated for their meal while they are served multiple courses. If you choose to have two entrées (an Enchanted Duet), they will both be served side by side on one plate.
- Buffet and Food Station Menus
- When you choose a buffet or food station, your guests will be required to get up and get their own food. However, this isn’t a bad thing! While the serving style may be less formal, it does have multiple benefits. With buffets and food stations, your guests are able to choose specifically which foods they want to enjoy for the evening. This style of dining also leads to guests mingling and talking more while they're getting their food.

How Disney Wedding Pricing Works
Disney Fairy Tale Weddings have event minimums in place. That means that there will be a certain amount that you will need to spend on your wedding. Again, this will be a minimum total. You are allowed to go over that price, but you have to spend at least that much. Event minimums vary depending on venue location, day of the week, and time of day. You can expect to have a lower minimum on weekdays and higher minimums on weekends or around holidays.
All of the different wedding service fees that you pay for directly through Disney will count towards your event minimum. This includes your ceremony venue, food and beverage, floral, decor, photography, entertainment, and transportation costs.
When you’re ready to start planning and discussing specific details about your wedding, your Disney Wedding Specialist will be able to give you more exact pricing for your big day. However, I can give you a look at the event minimums, ceremony venue costs, and the pricing of different services to plan your Disney World wedding cost!

Disney World Wedding Cost Q&A
Based off of the Disney World wedding event minimums, the average cost of a Disney wedding is around $20,000. Disney wedding event minimums range anywhere from $15,000-$100,000. However, many of them do hover around the $20,000 range.
To get married at Disney World in front of the castle, your wedding event minimum must reach $30,000-$100,000. While the Ceremony Venue Fee is $20,000-$40,000 to get married at Magic Kingdom, you must still meet the event minimum requirements. Ceremony Venue Fees as well as other Disney wedding services (food and beverage, floral, entertainment, photography, etc.) all go towards your event minimum requirements.
Yes, Disney does do small weddings. You can have anywhere from 1-150+ guests attend your wedding. If you're looking to only have a few people to join you for an intimate ceremony on your big day, you are able to do so at Disney.
Technically, you can get married at Disney without paying. As long as you have an officiant and witnesses, you could get away with getting married at Disney. However, you would not be able to have a ceremony, reception, or even wear wedding attire this way. You are not even allowed to have wedding attire on for a photo session unless you have an official wedding photo session booked directly through Disney. So if you're looking to have “the works” of a wedding at Disney without paying, no, you cannot do that.
