Totally Unique Front-Row World of Color View That Comes With Dinner

World of Color is a dazzling display of dancing fountains, digital projections on a water screen, soaring music, and more that takes place over Paradise Bay in Disney California Adventure. This nighttime spectacular is a beautiful experience to see whether you are experiencing seated viewing through the World of Color Dessert Party or simply catching a brief glimpse of it as you are walking by.

During my recent experience at Lamplight Lounge, I got the opportunity to experience the World of Color show from a unique perspective from the seating on the outdoor patio. Lamplight Lounge is our favorite Disney California Adventure restaurant, and seeing the show from here was a really amazing experience!

World of Color Lamplight Lounge View

I have personally seen World of Color – One! many times since the show debuted during the Disney100 celebration last January. During a recent trip, I got to check out the show from a new angle. We got up close to the projections and fountains. I could see crisper details on the projection screens and an even better look at the mechanical marvels that are the programmed fountains.

This great view came from my outdoor eating area at Lamplight Lounge. This is one of our top rated best Disneyland restaurants. I dined here on my most recent trip. With a 7 pm dining reservation and a weird 8:45 pm showtime for World of Color (the park was closing early for a special event), we had plenty of time to enjoy dinner before settling in to watch the show.

This is a perfect time to enjoy a meal at Lamplight Lounge. During these summer months we got to enjoy sunset here while getting into our meal. The weather was perfect.

Viewing of the Show

From our table we were able to turn and have a direct view out to the projections. All guests in the restaurant had to remain seated to see the show. Much of the outside space had actually cleared out so we were able to slide forward to some of the other chairs to take in the show.

If this were your first time seeing World of Color I would not recommend viewing from this angle but for those who have seen the show before, this is a very relaxed way to take in the show from a new angle without worrying about securing a good viewing spot. This angle doesn't let you see everything going on with the show but it does give you a very nice new unique angle.

A Unique Perspective on World of Color

Looking out from the Lamplight Lounge viewing area, it really feels like the projections and fountains take up the entire view out from the seating area.

If you're looking for another unique perspective on World of Color, hop on the Incredicoaster while the show is running. It's a truly spectacular experience to see the beautiful colors as you zoom by! This takes the experience of one of our favorite Disneyland roller coasters to a whole new level.
