Here Are Way Less Crowded Views For Fireworks at Disneyland

After a fun Disneyland day filled with your favorite attractions, parades, and delicious food, seeing the fireworks show can be a perfect way to end the night. However, finding a perfect spot for the Disneyland fireworks with low crowds can be easier said than done, with many guests lining up far ahead of time in front of the Castle and on Main Street U.S.A. for the perfect view of the show.

These highly populated areas can start to feel crowded very quickly, and standing crammed in a tight space with other parties can take away from the magic of the experience, especially during some of the most crowded times at Disneyland. Thankfully, there are a couple of spots in the park that offer a much less crowded view of the fireworks at Disneyland that we will share with you. Keep reading for more details on these best spots!

Less Crowded Spots to Watch the Disneyland Fireworks

less crowded Disneyland fireworks spot

While standing in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle is one of the best spots for fireworks viewing, it often takes hours of holding your place to secure this coveted spot, meaning you're missing valuable park time. Due to its popularity, the area can also get quite crowded.

If you want to avoid the worst crowds, we have some suggestions for the best places in the park to watch the fireworks!

The first less crowded Disneyland fireworks spot we'd recommend is located in Fantasyland. In front of “it's a small world” is a great place to see the show, with projections on the facade of the attraction, music playing, and the fireworks off to the left. Plus, this location makes for a beautiful photo with the fireworks and projections! Make sure to stand where your view of the “it's a small world” facade isn't obstructed—we recommend standing a little bit over to the right.

Another great place to watch the fireworks is by the Fantasmic! viewing area along the Rivers of America. You can time this around the showing of Fantasmic! and stay put where you are after the first showing ends. The Rivers of America provides a quieter, less crowded spot to view the fireworks, with projections appearing on water screens and music playing.

less crowded Disneyland fireworks spot Thunder Mountain

You can also watch the Disneyland fireworks from an attraction like Dumbo or Big Thunder Mountain for a super memorable night enjoying the fireworks without any crowds. This is also a great time to get on popular attractions, as many guests are not in line as they are waiting for the shows.

When to Arrive for Fireworks Viewing

Even for these less crowded spots to watch the fireworks, we still recommend planning ahead to get the best viewing. While you may not need to wait as long to stake out the perfect spot as you would for castle viewing, you still want to arrive around 30 minutes ahead of time to secure the best viewing. Even with that said, if the fireworks are not a top priority for you and you are more interested in seeing attractions but still catching the show then you don't even need to show up in advance.
