Disney is actively working to improve their technology offerings for guests at the theme parks. Earlier this year, we shared news about some of the improvements to the apps and booking process. We also just got a major update we can now share about bringing AI into the booking process.
In addition, Disney shared updates on other changes coming to the website and apps to improve the guest experience both at the theme parks and while booking. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including an EPCOT ride adding changes for the better following guest feedback, and the Disney ride rules guests follow after hearing fellow visitor complaints.

Disney World has now launched a new redesigned homepage for DisneyWorld.com. The redesign has reduced links by 40% with the goal of making navigation simpler for guests.
Previously, the number of navigation links could be overwhelming and excessive. Now, it is meant to be easier for guests to find key information and for those booking to start the process.
Earlier this summer in late June, Disney rolled out Spanish translations on the Walt Disney World and Disneyland apps. Disney leadership shared that hundreds of thousands of unique users to date have used the offering. There are plans to roll out more unique languages as well.
Today we got details about Disney’s new AI-powered booking engine that will live under the “Guided Search – BETA” tab on the website.
You can see where it will be visible to some guests in the homepage image above. Here’s a look at what the beginning of the process will look like. You can see details on all the specifics of the search process and how they are using AI here.

The new search will provide you with shareable links, so you can forward your vacation information to others to give them visibility into the itinerary. This will be a read-only web sharing link that you can drop into a text message or email.
They are also actively testing new search summaries on the website and app with cast members. This will roll out to guests in the coming months. We previously reported on these ongoing search changes. The test includes search summaries on the Walt Disney World website and app that pull information from official Disney sources. The goal is to reduce the time needed to sort through FAQs.
Previously, they used the example of a shift from just being a search for entities or pages to actually answering questions. For instance, today you would search “chicken tenders in Magic Kingdom” and get “Magic Kingdom” and the “Chicken Guy” restaurant in Disney Springs in the results. In the future, the search should show a list of the restaurants in Magic Kingdom that have chicken tenders on their menu.
What other changes would you like to see Disney try to improve the guest experience?
