This Disneyland Restaurant’s Food Doesn’t Look Quite Normal But We Consider It One of Our Favorites

There are so many amazing dining experiences at the Disneyland Resort that it can be difficult to decide where you want to eat!

Some of the iconic dining locations on our list of the best Disneyland restaurants ranked like the Blue Bayou, Lamplight Lounge, or Cafe Orleans may not surprise you. However, there is one quick-service restaurant high up on the list that may raise some eyebrows when you look at the unconventional presentation of the food.

We consider this location to be one of our favorite restaurants with some incredibly fun themed foods! A few menu items here also make our list of the best Disneyland foods you'll find at the resort. Keep reading to see some of these wacky dishes and why we love this location!

Is This Some of the Wackiest Food at Disneyland?

Pym Test Kitchen Avengers Campus

Pym Test Kitchen is a quick-service restaurant in Avengers Campus that is inspired by Ant-Man and The Wasp that's been around for a few years now, and some of its crazy food items will leave you questioning your eyes. The story behind the restaurant is that Ant-Man and The Wasp led a team of researchers to develop a menu using Pym Particle technology to shrink and grow food items. The theming of this restaurant and its food does not disappoint as Disney truly commits to this idea! We consider this to be one of the best Disney California Adventure restaurants.

You'll find a whole bunch of both regular and Mickey-shaped pretzels at locations around the parks, but if you're looking for a real show-stopper, the giant Quantum Preztel is the way to go. This snack is already really fun in concept—when you enter the restaurant, you'll see the regular-sized pretzels on a conveyor belt on the ceiling going through a “quantum tunnel” and coming out of it ginormous.

The pretzels are a great size for sharing and come with a delicious beer cheese dipping sauce. They make for a perfect snack when you know you want something filling and fast, and you can mobile order them through the app.

However, what arguably takes the prize for the funniest food item at Disneyland is the Not so Little Chicken Sandwich. If you're expecting a normal chicken sandwich, you are in for a big surprise.

This comes as a huge breaded chicken cutlet that makes the roll look tiny by comparison, served with a drizzle of two sauces and slaw. This is one of our favorite items here, and you can't beat the hilarious presentation. This is really clever theming building on the idea of the restaurant using Pym Particle technology to create inventive menu items.

Pym Test Kitchen will also have special seasonal offerings throughout the year. Last Halloween season, perhaps my personal favorite seasonal item of the entire year was the Witch of Westview Cold Brew at Pym Test Kitchen which came with a toasted marshmallow on top and some fun purple coloring.

Keep an eye out for the seasonal offerings here during celebrations like Halloween, the Festival of Holidays, Lunar New Year, and special events like Oogie Boogie Bash.

If you're interested in enjoying a drink while at Avengers Campus, then we recommend hopping over to the Pym Tasting Lab where you can try a variety of cocktails.
