Disneyland Lunar New Year 2023 EntertainmentMickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Kick Off Lunar New Year in Designer Outfits

Some of the best entertainment options featured for Disneyland's Lunar New Year include appearances from beloved Disney character Mulan and a special World of Color prelude show!

Mulan's Processional

Mulan's Processional begins as a processional that travels from Pixar Pier to Paradise Garden Park. When the cavalcade comes to a stop, the show begins with music, costumed performers, Mulan, Disney characters, a Chinese dragon puppet, warriors, drummers, and dancers.

Disneyland has announced that a new float will join the processional and will carry Mulan and Mushu.

This is the most anticipated entertainment event of Disneyland Lunar New Year so make sure you don't miss it!

The procession and performance can be enjoyed multiple times throughout the day during the Lunar New Year celebration at  11:45 AM, 1:00 PM, 2:45 PM, and 4:00 PM. As always, check the Disneyland event calendar on the day of your visit to confirm any entertainment times.

We recommend lining up anywhere from 15-30 minutes before the show begins to get the best view as this is a popular event for Disneyland Lunar New Year. Many guests love seeing Mulan which is a pretty rare Disney character we don't often see in the parks.

NEW! Raya and the Last Dragon Meet and Greet

Disney has shared that for the first time guests will be able to meet Raya from Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film, Raya and the Last Dragon.

She will be appearing in a special setting inspiredby her native land of Kumandra in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.

We are excited to share more details and information when it is released.

Character Meet and GreetsMulan stands next to Mushu and waves to Guests

You can also look forward to special character meet and greets at Paradise Gardens Park. These meet and greets are popular since Disney brings out some rare characters for photo ops like Mulan and Mushu! This year in honor of the year of the tiger, Tigger will be joining in the fun.

The photo area takes place in a gorgeous pavilion with bamboo, peach blossoms, golden flowers and banners bearing holiday wishes.

award-winning couture fashion designer Guo Pei

New last year, Disney teamed up with award-winning couture fashion designer Guo Pei, facilitated by the Asian Couture Federation, to create new Lunar New Year-inspired outfits for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. Guo Pei is well-known throughout the fashion world in both China and internationally and has won dozes of awards for her designs. Lucky Wishing Wall, Performances, and Kids Activities

The Lucky Wishing Wall is located in Paradise Gardens and it's where guests of all ages can add their own special messages of hope, health and happiness for the upcoming year under the strings of ornamental lanterns.

2023 Hurry Home – Lunar New Year Celebration Returns to World of Color

Hurry Home- Lunar New Year Celebration is another popular entertainment option at Disneyland's Lunar New Year. This six minute show previously preluded the first nightly showing of World of Color in California Adventure. We are still waiting for specific details on the presentation of the show in 2023.

The story of the show is about Little Lantern who journeys home to celebrate the new year with family and friends. Along the way, he meets Mulan and Mushu and is a celebration of friendship. The show features sky-high fountains, light effects, and a musical score that was originally created for the opening ceremony of the Shanghai Disney Resort.
