PHOTOS! New Avengers Campus Store Now Open at California Adventure

Disneyland has announced that a brand new store is opening in California Adventure that will feature never-before-seen merchandise in Disneyland. Disney currently operates many retail locations in the theme parks that guests enjoy especially for special events (like artist signings at Off the Page) and special collector's merchandise for popular Disney fandoms.

The most well-known of these is Dok-Ondar's Den of Antiquities in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge which frequently releases exclusive Star Wars Legacy Lightsabers. This new store looks to be modeling a similar approach to another popular fandom.

The new store is located in the same building that will house the entrance to the new Avengers Campus E-Ticket Multiverse ride that Disney recently teased. We expect that the store will eventually be the space that you exit the attraction through.

New California Adventure Store Opens

The new retail location in California Adventure has opened at Avengers Campus as of September 18th and is called the Avengers Vault. The new Avengers store joins the existing Marvel-themed stores which currently include The Collector's Warehouse, WEB Suppliers, and Supply Pod.

NEW Avengers Store Merchandise Pictures

We will take you through a tour of the Avengers Vault with photos of the merchandise offered at the store!

In the photo above, you can find items and clothing inspired by Marvel characters like Loki, Captain America, Dr. Strange, Spider-Man, Thor, and more. Below, you can see a glimpse at some merchandise inspired by Loki in anticipation of the second season of the Disney+ show Loki, which will premiere on October 5th, 2023.

We also got an up-close look at some of the collector's items that are being featured at the store, including the Tesseract (Space Stone), Loki’s Scepter (Mind Stone), The Aether Container (Reality Stone), The Orb (Power Stone), The Eye of Agamotto (Time Stone), the red Nano Gauntlet, and the golden Thanos Gauntlet. You can see a detailed look at these items below:

In the store, you will also find Tony Stark's arc reactor, with the words “proof that Tony Stark has a heart” engraved on it.

Additional merchandise at the Avengers Store includes Scarlet Witch items like mugs and backpacks with her signature headpiece as well as action figures of Marvel characters like Thor, Dr. Strange, Black Panther, and more as seen below.

The new Avengers Vault also offers Mobile Checkout, which allows you to scan and pay for merchandise items on your phone using the Disneyland app.

New Avengers Campus Store

The new retail location features Infinity Saga Relics for the first time along with Marvel apparel and other fan-favorite merchandise that has been featured in other stores around the park like The Collector's Warehouse, WEB Suppliers, and Supply Pod.

The most exciting news about this announcement is the inclusion of the Infinity Saga Relics which means Marvel fans will see an increase in collector's Avengers merchandise in California Adventure. In the above promo picture released by Disney, there are many collector's items featured that we have seen released on ShopDisney in the past but never before in the theme parks. In the above image, the collector's items include:

  • Space Stone: The Tesseract (pictured below)

  • Mind Stone: Loki’s Scepter
  • Reality Stone: The Aether Container
  • Power Stone: The Orb
  • Tine Stone: The Eye of Agamotto
  • All Infinity Stones: Nano Gauntlet (the red glove Iron Man wore)
  • All Infinity Stones: Thanos Gauntlet (the gold glove Thanos wore)

All of these collector's items were briefly sold on ShopDisney in Fall 2022 and quickly sold out. We have not seen many of these collector's items come back in stock so this is a great opportunity for collectors to take advantage of these new items when they release in the parks.

These are collector's items for Marvel fans, similar to how we see Legacy Lightsabers sold at Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, so they are good quality with a higher price tag to match. For example, the Loki Scepter Light-Up Replica was sold for $119 on ShopDisney but this is still a lower price than many Star Wars Legacy Lightsabers which often sell for around $200 depending on the character.

This begs the question, is Avengers Vault going to act as the Avengers Campus version of Dok Ondar's as the place to go for special collector's items related to the Marvel fandom? Based on this initial announcement, this sure looks like the case which is exciting news for Marvel fans to see their collector's needs met in the same way Star Wars fans have experienced. We might even see more collector's items released over time.

Is The Avengers Backlot Store Closing?Avengers Store

Yes, the Super Store selling Avengers Campus merchandise in Hollywood Land will close on September 14th.

This has been a popular store featuring the largest selection of Avengers merchandise in California Adventure. However, this timeline makes it clear that we will see many, if not all, of the items featured in the current Super Store, moved to the new Avengers Vault.

Are you excited to see new collector's items for Avengers fans come to Disneyland? Do you think they will be as popular as the Legacy Lightsabers in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge?
