Hong Kong Disneyland Ticket Prices

If you’ve ever wanted to visit Hong Kong Disneyland but don’t know how much it costs to visit, this is your complete guide to Hong Kong Disneyland ticket prices.

Hong Kong Disneyland is the 5th theme park in the Disney arsenal and the 1st of 2 theme parks Disney built in China. Open since 2005, Hong Kong Disneyland was Disney’s way of combining the Disney experience with Chinese culture, customs, and traditions. And with its most recent World of Frozen expansion, featuring all our favorite characters from the Frozen movies, Hong Kong Disneyland now has more to offer guests visiting the theme park!

Of course, if coming from the United States, planning an international trip can get pricey. However, you’d be surprised at how much cheaper it is to visit Hong Kong Disneyland compared to Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World!

While you still have to pay for an international flight, hotel lodging, and a few extras, Hong Kong Disneyland ticket prices can be as little as half the price of Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World tickets. And with that money savings, you get to explore a very different style of theme park that still has the essence of Disney.

Read on for a full breakdown of Hong Kong Disneyland ticket prices, including ticket types, annual pass prices, vacation packages, and more.

Hong Kong Disneyland Ticket Prices

Hong Kong Disneyland castle

Hong Kong Disneyland offers 4 different tiers of theme park tickets at different prices, each with 1-day and 2-day options.

Each tier follows a date-based pricing system. Similar to Walt Disney World’s date-based pricing system, Hong Kong Disneyland ticket prices vary according to the date you want to visit.

Here’s the breakdown of each tier ticket and how much they cost:

HK USD
Tier 163981.62
Tier 271991.84
Tier 3799102.06
Tier 4879112.28
  • Tier 1: Covers most weekdays and selected weekends
  • Tier 2: Covers selected weekends and selected weekdays
  • Tier 3: Covers most days in the summer season, selected Chinese statutory holiday periods and their surrounding days, internationally recognized celebration periods, park special event days, and other peak visitation days
  • Tier 4: Covers selected Chinese statutory holiday periods, park special event days, and selected days in the summer season

Are Hong Kong Disneyland Tickets More Expensive at the Gate?

Mickey and Minnie

Hong Kong Disneyland tickets are not more expensive at the gate.

However, due to the popularity of the park and the need for park reservations, there is a chance that Hong Kong Disneyland tickets might not be available if you choose to purchase them on the day of your visit. The Hong Kong Disneyland reservation system requires guests to both have a park reservation and a valid ticket for the same date for each day their visit is planned.

Because you need tickets in order to make a park reservation, buying tickets at the gate can be risky due to not being able to access the park if it doesn't have space.

Hong Kong Disneyland Special Experiences

Disney Explorers Lodge

Along with these 4 ticket types, Hong Kong Disneyland offers several special experiences for an additional fee.

Let’s go over each of these offerings.

Disney Premier Access: Individual Attractions vs Bundled Attractions

Similar to purchasing an Individual Lightning Lane, with Disney Premier Access, you can purchase access to individual attractions (ranging from 99 HK – 12.65 USD to 129 HK/16.48 USD) or you can purchase a 3-attraction bundle (229 HK/29.26 USD), 8-attraction bundle (529 HK/67.59 USD), or a combined “Momentous”-8-Attraction-2-show bundle (799 HK/102.08 USD).

Note that each price is set per person.

Personal Photography Services (799 HK/102.06 USD to 1,598 HK/ 204.13 USD)

Hong Kong Disneyland offers 2 types of personal photography services at different price points.

These services give you 30 minutes to work with a professional photographer to capture all your magical moments in the most iconic spots throughout Hong Kong Disneyland!

Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique – Princess Make-Up and Photo Shooting Service (2,180 HK/ 278.47 USD to 3,880 HK/495.63 USD)

Similar to the service offered at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World, Hong Kong Disneyland Resort’s version comes in different packages at different price points.

The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique allows your kiddos to step into the enchanted Storybook Shoppe and undergo a royal transformation!

Guided Tours

Compared to VIP tours at Disneyland Resort or Walt Disney World, Hong Kong Disneyland offers 2 types of guided tours, each with different price points.

Park Guided Tour: “Momentous” and “World of Frozen” (15,888 HK/2,029.52 USD): This 5-hour tour allows you to enjoy the “Momentous” nighttime spectacular at a designated viewing area and celebrate Summer Snow Day at World of Frozen with direct entrance to attractions at World of Frozen and attractions of your choice at the rest of the theme park, concierge services to pre-arranged priority parking, dining reservations, and park tickets, fun facts and stories about Hong Kong Disneyland from your tour host, and more!

Disney Magical Dream Guided Tour (8,288 HK/1,058.72 USD): This 3-hour tour is tailor-made for you and includes direct entry to attractions, priority seating and viewing areas for live shows, concierge services to pre-arranged priority parking, dining reservations, and park tickets, fun facts and stories about Hong Kong Disneyland from your tour host, and more!

Top 6 Things to Know Before Buying Hong Kong Disneyland Tickets

Hong Kong Disney mobile app

There are 6 official ways to purchase Hong Kong Disneyland tickets:

  • The Hong Kong Disney Resort Official Website
  • Hong Kong Disneyland Park Main Entrance Ticket Booths and Guest Relations: these locations are open daily starting 30 minutes before park opening until the park closes
  • Disney Explorers Lodge, Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, or Disney’s Hollywood Hotel: As a hotel guest, reserved park tickets are available for purchase at the Front Desk any time during your visit
  • Select Travel Agents: Tickets may be purchased as part of your Hong Kong Disneyland travel package through travel agents. Hong Kong Disneyland provides a list of their authorized travel agents here
  • For booking tickets for groups of 50 or more, call the Business Solutions and Events Team at +851 3510-6868 or email BusinessSolutions.Events@hongkongdisneyland.com

Acceptable forms of payment include cash and certain credit cards: When purchasing tickets in person, using cash will be your best payment option. However, if purchasing online, Hong Kong Disneyland does accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards. Be aware that foreign transaction fees may apply. When you’re physically inside the theme park or traveling around China, having Hong Kong dollars on hand is the most convenient way of paying for everything.

Theme park tickets use a date-based pricing system: Similar to Walt Disney World’s date-based pricing system, Hong Kong Disneyland ticket prices vary according to the date you want to visit. Ticket prices tend to be higher on days that are expected to be more crowded, such as 3-day weekends or holidays. On the other hand, ticket prices tend to be lower on days that are expected to be less crowded. Note that this also means that advanced reservations are required and are made upon the time you purchase your ticket.

All guests visiting Hong Kong Disneyland must present 3 forms of identification: Along with your ticket confirmation, you must also present a copy of your ID and the credit card you used for your ticket purchase with you to enter the theme park. For guests traveling to Hong Kong Disneyland from the United States, this means you must bring your U.S. passport that meet’s the China’s passport requirements we discussed above.

Ticket prices vary slightly depending on your age: Hong Kong Disneyland offers 3 ticket prices depending on your age. If you are between ages 12 to 64 (inclusive), you qualify for a General Admission Ticket. If you are between ages 3 to 11 (inclusive), you qualify for a Child Ticket. If you are 65 years or older, you qualify for a Senior Ticket. Similar to Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World, children under 3 years of age do not require park admission.

The Hong Kong Disneyland mobile app is a must: Similar to the Disneyland Mobile app and the My Disney Experience Mobile App for Walt Disney World, the Hong Kong Disneyland mobile app allows you to purchase and reserve your theme park tickets, book hotel reservations, purchase Disney Premier Access, view attraction wait-times, make vacation plans, and more. In fact, the mobile app’s interface is similar to the California and Florida Disney app equivalents, making it very user friendly!

Don't Forget About Additional Costs to Consider When Visiting Hong Kong Disneyland

Hong Kong Disney food

While Hong Kong Disneyland ticket prices are a big part of your vacation expenses, there are other day-to-day costs to consider when visiting Hong Kong Disneyland.

Let's go over these other costs so you can budget accordingly for your next trip to Hong Kong Disneyland.

Chinese Visa and U.S. Passport

While plane tickets fluctuate throughout the year, the 2 constants are the cost of a Chinese visa and the cost of a passport that meet’s China’s requirements.

China requires that your passport must:

  • Have at least 2 plank pages
  • Not be within 6 months of expiration

Here’s a breakdown of the costs associated with getting to Hong Kong:

  • Chinese visa: $230 application fee + $10 for new passport-sized photos
  • U.S. Passport Book: $130 application fee + $35 acceptance fee

Disney Premier Access Gives You Priority Access to Attractions

Similar to the Genie Plus Service and Individual Lightning Lanes at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World, purchasing Disney Premier Access gives you priority access to attractions and reserved viewing areas for shows during designated return time windows.

You can book Disney Premier Access through the Hong Kong Disneyland mobile app.

Early Park Entry Pass (199 HK/25.42 USD)

Early Park Entry Pass is another add-on to your theme park ticket that allows you to enter Hong Kong Disneyland up to 1 hour prior to the published park opening time.

This allows you to enjoy many of the attractions at Hong Kong Disneyland before other guests arrive, including attractions at the new World of Frozen land!

Parking

If you plan to drive around Hong Kong, there are fees associated with parking at Hong Kong Disneyland, any of the Hong Kong Resort hotels, or at Lake Recreation Centre. Here is a breakdown of the parking fees:

Parking Fees at Hong Kong Disneyland Park:

  • Private car: 280 HK/35.77 USD per day
  • Coach: 320 HK/40.88 USD per day
  • Motorcycle: 140 HK/17.88 USD per day

Parking Fees for Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel Resort Guests:

  • Hotel guests parking their private car at Hong Kong Disneyland: 190 HK/ 24.27 USD per day
  • Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel: 50 HK/6.36 USD per hour
  • Disney's Hollywood Hotel: 50 HK/6.36 USD per hour
  • Disney Explorers Lodge: 50 HK/6.36 USD per hour
  • Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre: 55 HK/7.03 USD per hour

Note that if you spend 500 HK/63.6 USD or more on dining or merchandise at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, Disney Explorers Lodge, or Disney's Hollywood Hotel, you can enjoy 3 hours of complimentary parking at the hotels on the day of purchase.

Dining

Dining prices at Hong Kong Disneyland are comparable to those at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World, but it's important to know that the food quality, standout service, and experience more than make up for the price.

Expect one counter-service restaurant meal to cost around 150 HK/19.16 USD and one sit-down restaurant meal to cost around 200 HK/ 25.55 USD. Additionally, snacks around the theme park cost around 40 HK/ 5.11 USD.

Hotels

There are 3 Disney-owned hotels at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort: Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Hollywood Hotel, and Disney Explorers Lodge.

These hotels come at a higher price point per night. However, there are a variety of hotels close by to Hong Kong Disneyland, including both cheap and luxury options.

Stroller Rental

Stroller rental at Hong Kong Disneyland costs 150 HK/19.16 USD per day for one stroller, 50 HK/6.39 USD per day for one rain cover, and 50 HK/6.39 USD per day for one stroller lock.

Strollers can be rented inside the old-time firehouse next to City Hall, Main Street U.S.A. Additionally, they may not be reserved and quantities are limited.

Souvenirs

Souvenirs can be a sneaky expense that adds up over your vacation days at Hong Kong Disneyland.

There are several strategies to combat overspending at Hong Kong Disneyland. These include establishing a souvenir budget for the parks, purchasing souvenirs only on the last day of your vacation, or even purchasing souvenirs ahead of time at a cheaper price.

Additionally, make sure to travel with any necessities ahead of time so you don't need to make any unexpected purchases.

How to Get to Hong Kong Disneyland

Wandering Oaken’s Siding sleighs

The 6 ways guests can travel to Hong Kong Disneyland make it extremely easy to visit this Disney park from anywhere in the greater Hong Kong area.

If you’re staying at one of the three Hong Kong Disneyland Resort hotels, you can take the complimentary hotel shuttle bus to the Disneyland Resort Public Transport Interchange (PTI), which is a short walk from Hong Kong Disneyland Park.

Other ways include:

  • Bus: Both local and cross-boundary buses are available to take you to and from Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. There are several bus routes operated by Long Win Bus, Citybus, and New Lantao Bus that run to and from Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. View the bus route and schedule here.
  • Car: If traveling by car, guests can drive into the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort by following directions posted on the Hong Kong Disneyland website. Note that there is a flat fee upon entry to the car park. Additionally, guests staying at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort Hotels must also pay a fee per night to park their car at the hotel car park.
  • Taxi: Guests looking to travel with more privacy, comfort, and flexibility can take one of three taxi services to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. All pick-up and drop-offs are allowed at the Disneyland Public Transport Interchange.
  • Mass Transit Railway (MTR): The MTR allows guests to board the Disneyland Resort Line at Sunny Bay Station to go directly to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. For a current schedule, visit the MTR website.
  • Express Rail Link: There is a 26 km/16.2 mi long Hng Kong Section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link that connects the Hong Kong/Shenzhen boundary to West Kowloon in Hong Kong. Once you arrive at the West Kowloon Station, you can get to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort through MTR.
  • Nearby Hotel and Attraction Shuttles: Hotels and attractions nearby Hong Kong Disneyland Resort may also offer shuttle service to and from the Disney resort.

These transportation options make it easy to visit Hong Kong Disneyland even if you’re staying outside of the Disney resort area.

Must-Do Attractions at Hong Kong Disneyland

Duffy and friends

With 8 themed lands (including the newly opened World of Frozen land), Hong Kong Disneyland has so much to offer guests in terms of attractions.

Here are some favorites and must-dos when visiting:

  • Mystic Manor: This is arguably the one attraction everyone wants to ride when visiting Hong Kong Disneyland. Hong Kong’s variation of The Haunted Mansion tells the story of Lord Henry Mystic and his monkey companion Albert as they tour you through rooms full of antiquities they collected from their travels across the world.
  • Iron Man Experience: It’s hard to believe that this Marvel-themed ride has been around long before Avenger’s Campus opened at Disney California Adventure. This Star Tours-esque motion simulator ride starts out as a scenic tour of Hong Kong that quickly goes bad, and Iron Man comes to save the day!
  • Jungle River Cruise: It’s hard to skip out on such a classic attraction full of life-like animal animatronics and dad jokes. The one benefit to this ride at Hong Kong Disneyland is that there are 3 different queues so you can choose the language your skipper will speak: Cantonese, Mandarn, or English!
  • RC Racer: This gravity-defying attraction at Toy Story Land takes you up a 27 m/88.5 foot tall track as you race up through the sky and back down to earth. Relive the epic moment when Buzz and Woody rode RC and raced back to Andy in the first Toy Story film!
  • Hyperspace Mountain: For those that visited Disneyland Park in California and rode their version of Hyperspace Mountain, this is a permanent attraction at Hong Kong Disneyland. Hyperspace Mountain will take you to a galaxy far, far away, where you’ll get caught in a heated fight against TIE fighters!
  • Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs: The newest attraction and part of the World of Frozen, Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs compares to The Barnstormer at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. While it’s short and fairly tame for a roller coaster, its theming is top-notch!
  • Frozen Ever After: While very similar to its EPCOT counterpart, Frozen Ever After in Hong Kong Disneyland received an impressive update as part of the World of Frozen opening. On this attraction, the story-telling is much more fluid since Imagineers had more freedom with designing this attraction and the animatronics are more life-like!

Top Parades and Shows at Hong Kong Disneyland

Hong Kong Disney nighttime show

Hong Kong Disneyland puts on a number of shows for you to enjoy when visiting.

Let’s cover what you should be plan to watch:

  • Mickey and Friends Street Celebration: This parade around Main Street Express allows you to wave “hi” to Mickey and his pals in their special outfits! You can also see Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Rpunzel, Jessie, Moana, and more!
  • Festival of the Lion King: Similar to Festival of the Lion King at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, this Lion King musical has been extremely popular since its opening in 2005. However, there are a few notable differences, including a turntable in the center floor and the use of a single storyteller to narrate the production.
  • Moana: A Homecoming Celebration: This show recounts Moana’s adventures after she restores the heart of Te Fiti and returns to her home village of Motunui. Set in an exotic outdoor venue named “Jungle Junction,” this show immerses you in Moana’s home village and is jam-packed with inspirational music, dancing, puppetry, and storytelling.
  • “Momentous” Nighttime Spectacular: Hong Kong Disneyland’s current nighttime spectacular features a magnificent light show, music, 3D projections, choreographed water fountains, lasers, and of course, fireworks! Be sure to save a seat early to ensure yourself a great view!

How Many Days Should my Hong Kong Disneyland Resort Trip be?

Frozen Ever After

Believe it or not, Hong Kong Disneyland is the smallest Disney theme park in the world.

That doesn’t mean you only need 1 day to experience it all. With all its detailing, one-of-a-kind Castle of Magical Dreams, unique attractions, and the new World of Frozen Land, you’ll likely want more than one day to experience everything.

However, if you only want to experience the highlights of the theme park, one day is certainly doable. With that said, if you’re traveling from the United States, we recommend you take advantage of your time in Hong Kong and experience as much as possible at this Disney theme park!

In the end, 1 day at Hong Kong Disneyland is certainly doable, but 2 days allows you to experience just about everything.

Top Cheap Hong Kong Disneyland Tickets Recommendations

Disney’s Hollywood Hotel

While Hong Kong Disneyland tickets are already sold at a very affordable price compared to tickets to enter Disneyland Park or Walt Disney World, there are a few options out there that could save you some money.

Let’s go over the options you have when trying to find discounted Hong Kong Disneyland tickets.

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort Hotel and Theme Park Ticket Perks

There’s one important thing to note when purchasing Hong Kong Disneyland tickets while staying at a Hong Kong Disneyland Resort hotel.

Unlike guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel or Disneyland Resort hotel, guests staying at any of the 3 Hong Kong Disneyland Resort hotels do not get complimentary early entry. In order to have access to early entry, you would have to purchase and Early Park Entry Pass for 199 HK/25.42 USD per guest.

However, when staying on Disney property, you and your party are guaranteed theme park tickets for the days of your hotel stay. This comes in handy especially on days that are expected to sell out. This not only saves you from needing to purchase theme park tickets beforehand, it also saves you the stress and anxiety of not knowing whether or not theme park tickets will still be available when you travel.

Regardless, there is one theme park ticket-hotel bundle that Hong Kong Disneyland offers currently:

“Three Magical days” Disney Getaway Package (Starting at 8,260 HK/1,055.15 USD): With this offer, you get to enjoy a 2-night stay at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel with 2-park tickets, including dining and more privileges for 2.

Hong Kong Disneyland Magic Access (Annual Passes)

Hong Kong Disneyland offers 3 tiers of annual passes called Magic Access so that you can enjoy park experiences and events in a full year of magic.

Each tier of annual pass varies in price according to their benefits. Similar to annual passes at Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Hollywood, or Universal Orlando, the more expensive the tier of annual pass, the more benefits you receive. Also similar to the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World annual passes, you must choose a visit date from the available reservation days and make a reservation before visiting the theme park. Additionally, all Hong Kong Disneyland annual passes are valid for 365 days starting 15 days after the date of purchase.

Here are some of the benefits all 3 tiers of annual passes share:

  • Shopping, dining, and hotel benefits
  • Exclusive collectibles
  • Access to exclusive previews and events
  • Birthday hotel dining benefit

Let’s briefly go over the 3 tiers of Hong Kong Disneyland annual passes. Note that prices are listed for guests age 12 – 64:

  • Silver Magic Access (1,468 HK/187.53 USD): The lowest tier annual pass offers admission on most weekdays (excluding public holidays) and discounted parking
  • Gold Magic Access (2,558 HK/326.78 USD): The mid-tier annual pass offers admission on most weekdays and weekends (including public holidays) and free parking for 24 days of the year and discounted parking afterwards
  • Platinum Magic Access (4,678 HK/597.62 USD): The highest tier annual pass offers 365 days of park access, free parking all year, and a 10% discount on 1-day tickets (limit of 6 tickets per membership term)

Third Party Websites

When purchasing tickets to the Disney theme parks in Asia, there are 2 reputable places you can purchase from other than directly through Hong Kong Disneyland.

Klook is a popular Asian website that sells Hong Kong Disneyland tickets for a small discount. Note that you need a passport number to attach your tickets to and that you can only purchase 5 tickets per passport. Once purchased, Klook will email you your tickets, which you can either print or use a digital copy to enter the theme park.

Trip.com is another reputable provider of travel services in China. Many guests use Trip.com to arrange their hotel stays and travel transportation when exploring in and around China.

Can I Use my Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Membership for Discounts on Tickets?

Believe it or not, you can use your DVC points to book a stay at any one of the three Hong Kong Disneyland Resort hotels, but not on theme park tickets.

With a DVC membership, you can use DVC points to reserve stays at Disney Collection resorts including the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. Despite the unfavorable conversion rate with DVC points when reserving hotels outside of the United States, this can potentially be a convenient way of reserving an international Disney resort stay.

However, just keep in mind that your DVC points can go towards Hong Kong Disneyland Resort hotel stays but not towards theme park tickets.

Costco Hong Kong Disneyland Tickets

Costco is a popular option for guests looking to book a Disney vacation, but not a possible option if you’re looking to purchase Hong Kong Disneyland tickets alone.

When booking through Costco, you can find vacation packages for Disney Cruise Line, Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa and the DVC Villas, Disneyland Resort, and Walt Disney Resort. You can even find select Adventures by Disney (ABD) vacation packages, including a vacation package that travels to China. The current China ABD vacation package includes a visit to Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disneyland.

While not an option for purchasing Hong Kong Disneyland tickets alone, an ABD vacation package to China can be a great option for you to travel to China without having to do any of the planning.

AAA Hong Kong Disneyland Tickets

Unlike the discounts offered by AAA for Disneyland Resort, Walt Disney World, Universal Hollywood, and Universal Orlando tickets, AAA offers something else related to Hong Kong Disneyland.

Through AAA’s Trip Canvas travel website, you’re able to purchase Hong Kong Disneyland ticket bundles that combine a theme park ticket and a private transfer from your hotel to Hong Kong Disneyland. Trip Canvas is a travel agency that offers information and recommendations on booking your Hong Kong Disneyland vacation, including preplanned trips, cruises, and vacation tours. They also have a network of AAA travel agents to assist you in your planning.

Trip Canvas by AAA could be a good potential source to purchase Hong Kong Disneyland tickets especially if you’re staying outside of the Disney resort, but don’t forget to consider all the other travel options we discussed above!

Beware of Hong Kong Disneyland Tickets That are too Cheap!

Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel

With Hong Kong Disneyland ticket prices already being much cheaper than prices in the U.S. Disney theme parks, it’s certainly not worth your time falling for a scam just for a cheaper ticket option.

Here are 3 tips to help you avoid potential scams on Hong Kong Disneyland tickets:

  1. If you’re on a different website from what we mentioned above, it’s likely an unofficial website that you should avoid
  2. If the Hong Kong Disneyland ticket prices on a particular website seem too good to be true, it often is
  3. If you come across a seller that’s not on the list of Hong Kong Disney Resort travel partners on the Hong Kong Disneyland website, it is a potential scam

So, there you have it. Everything you need to know about purchasing Hong Kong Disneyland tickets.

What are you waiting for? It’s time to visit!
