Walt Disney World Annual Pass Guide – Prices, Discounts, Perks

A Walt Disney World annual pass is a great choice to save money if you plan on visiting the theme parks multiple times within a year. These annual passes include entrance to theme parks along with a range of discounts on dining, and shopping plus special rates on resort hotels.

Annual passes are a popular choice for guests that visit multiple times a year whether you live locally in Florida or you are Disney Vacation Club member.

We visit Walt Disney World frequently and many on our team here at Mickey Visit are Walt Disney World annual passholders. Let's get into all the prices, discounts, and benefits of having a Walt Disney World annual pass.

Disney has taken feedback from Annual Passholders to make positive changes to the program. Since April 2023 Disney World passholders can visit the theme parks after 2 PM without a theme park reservation with the exception of Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom. Block-out dates still apply. As well, park hopping restrictions are now completely lifted!

Walt Disney World Annual Pass “Good to Go Days”

Disney World has also announced annual passholder “Good-to-Go Days” which are days APs can visit with no reservation which started on January 2024. On these days, Annual Passholders and Cast Members will be allowed to visit the parks without a reservation which allows for more spontaneous visits than many AP holders enjoy.

Good-to-Go Days will vary by theme park and blockout dates may still apply. Once they begin, new days will become available on a rolling basis.

Here is the full breakdown of the Walt Disney World annual pass types offered and their prices. Depending on the quantities available, passes will not be available at certain times.

Disney Pixie Dust Pass

• Florida residents
• $439 plus tax
• Hold up to 3 park reservations at a time
• Access mostly on weekdays only- no weekends

Disney Pirate Pass

• Florida residents
• $799
• Hold up to 4 park reservations
• Access on most dates except for holidays and peak travel periods

Disney Sorcerer Pass

• Florida residents or Disney Vacation Club Members
• $999
• Hold up to 5 park reservations at a time
• Only a few blockout dates on holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years.

Disney Incredi-Pass

• This is the only pass available to out of state residents or non DVC owners
• $1,449
• Hold up to 5 park reservations
• No block out dates

All passes include a 10% discount of select restaurants in the theme parks and Disney Springs along with a range of 10%-20% discount on select merchandise locations. More on this below!

Annual Pass Add Ons

• Disney PhotoPass: Add unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads for $99 plus tax for the year.
• Water Park and Sports Option: Add water park and sports access for $99 plus tax for the year.
  • Adding the Water Park and Sports Option gives guests one admission to select Walt Disney World experiences (with no blockout dates) including:
    • Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park
    • Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park
    • Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course

You can choose from a Base ticket, Park Hopper, or a Park Hopper Plus with water park/sports additions with this deal.

How to Purchase a Discount Walt Disney World Annual Pass

1. Purchase your Walt Disney World ticket from our travel partner at a discount rate.
2. Upgrade your ticket to an annual pass on the last day of your trip OR you can call Walt Disney World and do it over the phone.
3. The value of the ticket, not the price you paid, will be applied to your pass. So if you use the deal above for a 5-day ticket get two days free, the value of a 7-day ticket will be applied to your pass.
4. A 1-day ticket must be upgraded on the same day you use the ticket. A multi-day ticket must be upgraded on the last day of use.
5. You cannot upgrade to an annual pass on a day that is considered a blockout date for that pass.

Keep in mind that there is no guarantee the annual pass types will not sell out before you get a chance to upgrade in the park so there is a bit of a risk with this option… especially if your trip is far in advance!

Note: some guests have reported being able to upgrade their tickets, before they are used, over the phone. This could be something to try as well!

Walt Disney World Annual Pass Free Parking

All annual passholders receive complimentary standard theme park parking! Just present your annual pass and photo ID at the parking entrance.

If you want preferred parking, you will just need to pay the difference between the posted standard parking and the preferred parking price.

What Discounts Do Disney Annual Passholders Get?

Walt Disney World annual pass dining discounts include many restaurants at the theme parks, resort hotels, and Disney Springs.

In addition to parking, merchandise, and dining Walt Disney World annual passholder discounts also include:

• A quarterly newsletter called the “Mickey Monitor” which includes news and Disney discount information. news and updated Disney discount information.
• Walt Disney World offers great hotel resort discounts for annual passholders, there is usually always one discount offer happening for passholders to take advantage of.
• There is a 10% off discount for Alamo Car Rentals all throughout the United States.
• Sports and recreation experiences at Walt Disney World all offer a variety of discounts for Walt Disney World passholders.
• Spa treatments at any of the official Walt Disney World resorts may also offer up to a 15% discount with a minimum $45 purchase.
• Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon discounts are also available for APs.
• Annual Passholders also receive discount tickets to special events like Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
• Receive a 15% discount on all guided Walt Disney World tours.
