Disney Sorcerer Pass: Blockout Dates, Discounts, Price

Disney World offers four types of annual passes including the Incredi-Pass, Sorcerer Pass, Pirate Pass, and Pixie Dust Pass. Currently, the only annual pass available to all guests is the Incredi-Pass. The Disney Sorcerer Pass is available for purchase if you are a Florida resident or Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member, and the Pirate and Pixie Dust passes are only available to Florida residents.

Although Disney World annual passes aren't for everyone, there are a lot of benefits to being a passholder if you plan on visiting Disney World multiple times throughout the year! I personally am a Disney Sorcerer Pass annual passholder, Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member, and visit the Disney World parks monthly. Therefore, I frequently utilize the various perks and benefits from being a Disney Sorcerer annual passholder.

This article will focus on everything related to the Disney Sorcerer Pass including the list of blockout dates, pricing, benefits, and discounts associated with being a Disney Sorcerer passholder!

Disney Sorcerer Pass Benefits

Below I will outline the best perks about being a Disney Sorcerer Passholder. This is definitely not an all inclusive list of benefits, but are some of the top reasons why many choose to become Disney World annual passholders!

Limited Blockout Dates

Although the Incredi-Pass is the only Disney World annual pass that has no blockout dates, there are only a few weeks of blockout dates for the Disney Sorcerer Pass!  These dates surround Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's which are typically the busiest times at Disney World. Although we love visiting Disney World during the holiday season, there are still many dates available to enjoy the Disney holiday festivities with the Disney Sorcerer Pass. In addition, many people want to avoid Disney World during these weeks because of how busy and stressful it can be.

The blockout dates for the Disney Sorcerer Pass include:

  • November 2024: 27th-30th (Thanksgiving)
  • December 2024: 19th-31st (Christmas and New Year's)
  • January 2025: 1st-2nd (New Year's)

Check out the full list of blockout dates for all Disney World annual passes here.

Park Hopping

All Disney World annual passholders can park hop at anytime throughout the day as long as their pass is not blocked out. Disney World tickets with the park hopper option are more expensive than single park tickets, making this a great perk. Although Disney World passholders are still required to make park reservations on most days, they are able to hop to any park at any time once they have entered the park at which they have a reservation. Disney Sorcerer Pass holders are some of the only passholders that can have up to five park reservations at a time on a rolling basis.

Spaceship Earth Monorail

Free Standard Theme Park Parking

All Disney World annual passholders are able to park at any theme park for free, they just need to show their annual pass and valid photo ID at the parking gate. Preferred parking is also available, however, passholders would need to pay the difference between preferred and standard parking if they choose preferred parking. Standard parking typically costs $30, and preferred parking costs between $45 and $55 depending on the season.

The only other time guests receive free theme park parking is if they are staying at a Disney World hotel. However, the free parking for passholders is more convenient especially if they are only visiting for the day or staying off Disney property.

Limited Edition Passholder Merchandise and Snacks

Another perk to being a Disney Sorcerer Pass holder includes access to the infamous passholder magnets, merchandise (shirts, pins, magicbands, etc.), PhotoPass opportunities, and even passholder exclusive snacks! These passholder exclusives frequently change, but there is always something for passholders to look forward to during their next trip to Disney World.

Experience New Attractions Before the Public

When a new attraction opens, such as Tiana's Bayou Adventure, passholders almost always have the chance to experience the ride before it opens to the public! This is such a cool perk that many passholders love. Although new attractions don't open too often, passholder attraction previews are another cool perk to having a Disney Sorcerer pass!

Disney Sorcerer Pass Pricing and Add-Ons

The Disney Sorcerer Pass is the second most expensive Disney World annual pass, mainly due to the limited blockout dates. Therefore, the cost of this pass is $999, plus tax. Florida residents can also utilize the Florida Resident Monthly Payment Program to purchase a Disney Sorcerer Pass at 0% interest which would cost $205 down and approximately $72 per month.

Another perk of being a Disney World annual passholder is the option to purchase add-ons at a discounted rate. For an additional $99 per year, passholders have access to unlimited digital downloads of any photos taken by the PhotoPass cast members throughout the park, including ride photos! I highly recommend purchasing this add-on because typically photo downloads, also known as the memory maker package, cost $185 for a 30-day time frame (or $210 if not purchased in advance). Guests can also purchase a memory maker one-day package for $75. Therefore, $99 is a great deal for one year.

Disney Sorcerer passholders can also purchase a water park and sports option for $99 per year. This option gives admission to Disney World’s water parks, golf courses, and other sports experiences. The admission to these experiences have no blockout dates! This add-on includes access to:

  • Admission to either Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park or Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park (whichever is open)
  • Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course
  • FootGolf at Disney’s Oak Trail
  • Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course (one round prior to 4:00 PM)

  • Disney World Resorts: Annual passholders often receive significant discounts when booking their Disney resort! This includes value, moderate, and deluxe resorts, some of which have discounts of over $100 per night!
  • Dining: Annual passholders receive a 10% discount on most table service restaurants at Disney World theme parks, Disney World resorts, Disney Springs, and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Grill. Some restaurants do not accept discounts, however, I always ask!
  • Merchandise: Annual passholder receive a 20% discount on regularly priced merchandise throughout Disney World property including theme parks, resorts, Disney Springs, and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. This discount often excludes park tickets, gift cards, and limited edition or special items such as legacy lightsabers.

Some examples include $2 off the AMC movie theatre at Disney Springs, 15% off the Keys to the Kingdom Tour at Magic Kingdom, and 15% off the cost of the Behind the Seeds tour at EPCOT.
  • Sports & Recreation: Annual passholders can take advantage of various discounts related to sports and recreation. Some examples include 15% bike rentals at any Disney World resort marina, and 15% off a regularly priced round of putt-putt for a passholder and up to 3 guests at Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf.
  • After Hours and Special Events: Annual passholders can receive discounts on special events, including after hours and holiday parties such as Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Please note discounts may not be available on events occurring during peak times, but it's always worth checking!

Is the Disney Sorcerer Pass Worth It?

Usually when people ask me if an annual pass is worth the purchase, I start by asking how many days they plan to spend in the Disney World parks per year. A 10-day park hopper ticket costs between approximately $775 and $900, depending on the season. This does not include the cost of merchandise, food, hotels, photos, and other activities you may spend money on during your trip to Disney World.

With that said, I would recommend the Disney Sorcerer Pass to guests who plan on spending at least five or ten days at the parks during the year. Another great perk of having an annual pass is that you don't feel as rushed or pressured to get everything done in a single day, or spend every waking hour inside the theme parks. Annual passes allow guests to enjoy many other amazing things outside of the Disney World theme parks. For example, if you want to spend the day enjoying your Disney hotel, but spend a couple hours at Magic Kingdom at night to watch the fireworks, annual passes are a great perk! A 10-day park hopper ticket does not cost that much less than the price of a Sorcerer pass, and with this annual pass you get so much more, including the discounts I've already discussed. It would be very easy to take advantage of a Sorcerer Pass after just even one week at Disney World.

If you only plan on spending a week or less in Disney World throughout the year, an annual pass may not be the right fit for you and your party. However, there are always tons of great ways to save money on Disney World tickets! Be sure to check out our ultimate guide to current Disney World ticket and hotel discounts!
