Season of the Force at Disneyland officially kicks off today! The celebration, which will take place through June 2, features several exciting offerings including new scenes on Star Tours, a unique perspective on the fireworks from Galaxy's Edge, and several specialty foods you can try in Disneyland Park with many featuring fun Star Wars theming.

We are here on the first day of the celebration and have tried several of the specialty foods! Below, we will share a description of each food along with our thoughts and whether or not we recommend it.

You can see our full guide to Season of the Force at Disneyland for everything you need to know about the celebration! Also, be sure to see the new Star Wars character who is appearing at Galaxy's Edge during the event.

Season of the Force Disneyland Food Review

We tried several of the special items that are being offered for Season of the Force at Disneyland. Overall, these are nicely themed and fun additions to try during the celebration. You can see which ones were our favorites below! We tried the below foods during the first day media event for the Season of the Force.

Wookie Cookie

If you are a Nutella fan, you will love the Wookie Cookie offered at the Grand Californian Great Hall Cart! It is huge, making it perfect for sharing, and the cookie itself is soft and chewy while the center is stuffed with pure chocolatey bliss. The sprinkles add some nice texture, and the theming with Chewie's bandolier in milk chocolate form over the top is the perfect decorative touch. We highly recommend this treat!

Season of the Force food review Grogu Tropical Whoopie Pie

Another treat we tried at the Grand Californian Great Hall Cart was the Tropical Whoopie Pie shaped adorably like Grogu's head. This is probably one of the best-themed treats out of the offerings with Grogu's cute ears and adorable eyes making for great photos. The filling in the center is light and fluffy with a mango and pineapple flavor, and it is packed between two vanilla cake-like cookies. The ears provide some variety as well and have a nice, slightly chewy quality. The Tropical Whoopie Pie is overall quite refreshing and a great treat!

Season of the Force food review Dewback Chili Noodles

From Docking Bay 7, we tried the Dewback Chili Noodles, which is a dish with spiced fettuccine noodles and gingered ground pork with broccolini stems and shredded red cabbage. This was my favorite food of the day! The ground pork was incredibly flavorful, and the portion size was also substantial. Overall, all of the dish's elements worked together perfectly and it was quite delicious.

Season of the Force food review Fried Chicken Baos

The new Fried Chicken Baos at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo was another food we tried as part of the media event for the launch of Season of the Force. It includes two crispy chicken baos, spicy katsu sauce, and creamy slaw. It had a good, tangy slaw, and the coating on the chicken was nice and crispy, but I wasn't wowed by it right after having the Chili Noodles that packed so much flavor. Overall, I felt the different flavors of the dish weren't working together completely harmoniously, so it was not a personal favorite.

Wookie Parfair

Last on our list for our Season of the Force food review is the Wookie Parfait from Galactic Grill, which we really enjoyed. The multi-layered dessert includes chocolate sponge cake, chocolate pudding, and caramel mousse on a chocolate-coffee crust with chocolate pearls.

The chocolate mouse was a great, fluffy top layer to the treat, and the pudding at the bottom was really light and delicious. I felt that it was nice and chocolatey without being overly rich, and the chocolate pearls provided a nice crunch. I always enjoy the parfaits from Galactic Grill and this was no exception!

Grand Californian lobby Millennium Falcon display

If you are planning on visiting the Grand Californian Great Hall Cart, be sure to stop and admire the Galactic Creation in the lobby. This impressive showpiece depicting the Millennium Falcon was created by the in-house Disney culinary team and is made of edible ingredients!
