As you arrive at Disneyland first thing in the morning, deciding which entrance to line up for at the turnstiles can always be a tricky affair. The last thing that you want to do is end up waiting in a long line when you're anxious to start your day at the parks if it can be avoided! We visit Disneyland weekly and have noticed a specific entrance that always has a shorter wait than the others—you just need to know where to look.

Making the Most of Your Disneyland Morning
During your morning at Disneyland, time is precious—you can enjoy popular rides with much shorter lines than the rest of the day. There is simply no better feeling than walking straight onto Space Mountain or Indiana Jones Adventure with no wait!
Arriving at Disneyland and getting immediately confronted by long lines at the entrance can be the most frustrating part of the morning and set a bad tone for the day. When you're anxious to get your day started, you want to find the shortest line possible at the Disneyland entrance.
We always recommend being ready at rope drop using our Disneyland rope drop morning strategy or Disney California Adventure rope drop mornings strategy, arriving at least an hour before park opening so that you can get through security and be lined up at the gate 45 minutes before opening. If you're aiming to arrive for rope drop, be sure to grab breakfast to-go, and you can eat it as you're waiting at the turnstiles.
Disneyland Entrance With the Shortest Wait!
We have found that one line consistently has a shorter wait than the others, located on the right side of the Disneyland entrance behind the tree. The line that goes to one of the turnstiles often ends up branching in two. Look for the open turnstiles blocked by the planters, as these lines can be a much shorter wait!

There are also a few other theme park entrances besides the main entrance: the Disneyland Monorail entrance located in Downtown Disne (click here for map) that will take you to Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park and the two Disneyland Resort hotel entrances (one for the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and one for the Paradise Pier Hotel). The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa entrance will land you in Disney California Adventure at Grizzly Peak, and the Paradise Pier entrance will land you at Paradise Gardens Park.
