Disneyland offers dining packages for their parades and nighttime spectaculars to allow guests to pre-purchase a meal and access to a reserved “seat” (more on this below) for the performance.

Dining Packages for Entertainment at Disney California Adventure
At Disney California Adventure, the main dining packages you will see are the ones offered for World of Color, the park's nighttime spectacular. These dining packages, along with the World of Color Dessert Party, include access to a reserved viewing area for the show. You can see everything you need to know about the World of Color show in our full guide!
In addition to the dining packages for nighttime performances of World of Color, we also anticipate that the Pixar Pals Dessert Package package will return for the parade “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” when it returns for its run during Disneyland's 70th anniversary. This package included a selection of desserts along with reserved seating for the parade.
Below, we will cover all of the dining package options that are available at Disney California Adventure.
World of Color Dining Packages
The current nighttime spectacular at Disney California Adventure is World of Color – ONE, which originally debuted as part of the Disney100 celebration for the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. The show tells the story of how a single action can inspire a bigger wave of change, and it is the first Disneyland Resort nighttime spectacular to feature characters, music, and stories from Walt Disney Animation Studios, Pixar Animation Studios, the Avengers and Star Wars in the same production.
The show features favorite stories like The Lion King, Moana, Ratatouille, Soul, Star Wars, The Avengers, and more, and it includes an original song called “Start a Wave.” The show brings pivotal moments in these stories to life with 1,200 fountains of “dancing” water that can shoot water up to 200 feet in the air and a 380-foot-wide water screen for digital projections.
The Wine Country Trattoria, Storytellers Cafe, and Magic Key Terrace World of Color Dining Packages all include a dining experience and a voucher to access the reserved standing viewing area for the show. The World of Color Dessert Party includes a plate of treats and reserved seated viewing for the show, which we will discuss more below.

World of Color Storytellers Cafe Dining Package
The Storytellers Cafe offers fare that celebrates the art of storytelling with dishes like the flatbread of the day, roasted chicken, seasonal fish, a rotating chef's selection of small plates, a seasonal soup, selections from the pasta station and carving station, and more. Storytellers Cafe is also where one of our favorite Character Dining breakfasts is located!

How to Make Reservations
Reservations are recommended for all dining packages. You can make your reservations up to 60 days in advance on the Disneyland website or the Disneyland app.
For some experiences like the World of Color dining packages at Storytellers Cafe and Wine Country Trattoria, reservations for the dining packages are not available online or on the app, but you can make a reservation at either restaurant and let the host or server know you would like the World of Color Dining Package.
Some dining packages are extremely popular and will sell out before the date. The Blue Bayou Fantasmic! dining package is a popular option along with the World of Color Dessert Party. Regardless of which you pick, I highly recommend booking right at the 60-day window to ensure you get the seating you want. This is especially true for larger parties.
Is A Disneyland Dining Package Worth the Cost?
One thing to consider when thinking about reserving a dining package is the popularity of the show and the likelihood you'd eat at that restaurant anyway. For example, if you have the Blue Bayou on your must-dine list to begin with and want to see Fantasmic!, then it's a no-brainer to simply make that a dining package to get those front-row views.
For guests interested in World of Color, the dining packages for meals simply offer better standing room only that's reserved—still something you could reasonably get with virtual queue access for the show. The World of Color Dessert Party is the only package for that show that offers seating, so for some groups, that is worth its weight in gold, especially if you have small kids or shorter folks who would have a hard time seeing over people's heads.
A similar logic applies to the parades, as there are so many great places to view parades without needing a dining package. But again, do you want to spend the time staking out and saving your spot? The advantage of these dining packages is that you know your spot is saved for you and this saves you time. And time is money after all!
It really comes down to a personal decision on which dining package is right for you based on the expense, popularity of the show, what your group wants to see the most, and how much time you have.
