There have been several food-related changes happening at Downtown Disney recently. Earlier this month, the Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs stand received a new snack item that was first popularized at Disney World.

Happy Ice, a frozen treat company, recently opened a permanent location in Downtown Disney after years of having pop-up locations in the complex. It will debut a treat made especially for Disney.

The latest piece of news in these dining changes is that a new food cart will be opening soon at Downtown Disney. Big Boi Lumpia Co. has just revealed on their official TikTok that they will be moving into Downtown Disney. No opening date has been announced quite yet, but their TikTok said that the cart will be coming “very soon.” There has also been no information about where this cart will be located.

Big Boi Lumpia Co. was founded by Chef Barb Batiste to bring her savory cooking to her audience after the success of her dessert company, B Sweet. Big Boi Lumpia Co. specializes in Filipino cuisine, both traditional dishes and some of Chef Barb’s childhood favorites. With the blend of salty, sour, and sweet flavors in these dishes, anybody can find something they will enjoy. The name, Big Boi, is in honor of Chef Barb’s father.

No official menu has been released, but some items on Big Boi Lumpia Co.’s website include chicken adobo, pork sisig, longanisa, sinigang soup, and, of course, lumpia. They also have plant-based versions of several of these dishes. We can likely expect to see these items making their way to Downtown Disney.

Paseo and Centrico in Downtown Disney

Downtown Disney has seen other changes as well recently, including menu changes across several of its restaurants. Salt & Straw, Parkside Market Coffee, Seoul Sister, and many more have added and dropped items from their menus to keep them fresh for guests.

A restaurant in the complex has just reached its 25th anniversary, and the owners are hosting a contest in order to celebrate. Guests can now enter for a chance to have their pizza recipes featured on the menu at Naples Ristorante e Bar.

If you enjoy Filipino food, be sure to check out Big Boi Lumpia Co. once the food cart opens at Downtown Disney!
