Disneyland Announces New $59 Evenings-Only Ticket for Limited Time

A lot is happening at Disneyland Resort this summer, including the conclusion of its 70th anniversary celebration and recent debuts of new ride versions, including Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Soarin’. Disney just announced a new ticket type that may be optimal for guests who want to visit the parks but aren’t interested in spending a full day there.

Disneyland has announced a new $59 Evening Ticket that will be available for a limited time. We have the list of eligible dates, what time the ticket is good for, and how to maximize its value. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including new dining discounts for Disneyland passholders and where to find Disneyland’s new popcorn bucket.

Disneyland’s New Evening Ticket

Disney theme parks typically only offer all-day admission, with the ticket costing the same price no matter what time of day you enter the park. Depending on which day you visit, you could be spending anywhere from $104 (Tier 0) to $224 (Tier 6) for a 1 Park Per Day ticket. Whether you spend the entire day there or just a few hours, the ticket price doesn’t waver.

Straying from this norm, Disneyland Resort launched the new Evening Ticket, valid only during the end of the day, for $59. This is significantly less than the daily admission price, which starts at $104 and increases depending on the date.

Guests can use the Evening Ticket on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, or Wednesdays, from July 12 through August 5, 2026.

The Evening Ticket is good for one theme park, and guests will need to make a park reservation before visiting. The Evening Ticket is valid starting at 7 PM at Disneyland Park, or at 5 PM at Disney California Adventure.

Flo's V8 Cafe

On every day that the Evening Ticket is offered, Disneyland Park closes at 12 AM, and Disney California Adventure closes at 10 PM. This means the Evening Ticket provides the same amount of time, five hours, no matter which park you choose. However, this doesn’t necessarily make each park an equal choice. We get into which park is the better option later in this article.

The price of the Evening Ticket is the same for all guests ages 3 and up. Usually, there is a slight ticket price difference for guests ages 3-9 and guests ages 10+.

Pros and Cons of Disneyland Evening Ticket

Paint the Night DCA

There are pros and cons to purchasing the Evening Ticket as opposed to full-day admission for Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure.

On the one hand, arriving at the park so late in the day severely limits the possibility of Lightning Lane availability at many attractions, meaning you’ll likely not be able to skip the standby line at most rides. Most characters are also done for the day by this time, with the exception of Mickey and friends in Town Square at Disneyland Park and Buena Vista Street at Disney California Adventure. Park hopping is not available with the Evening Ticket, either.

On the other hand, the price is much lower. You can get a lot done if you’re willing to stay through closing time, especially if you strategize to get on many of the popular rides. If you’re a night owl, the Evening Ticket might be much more your speed than braving an early morning rope drop for lower wait times.

The Evening Ticket also provides an opportunity to see some of the limited-time nighttime entertainment happening as part of Disneyland’s 70th anniversary celebration, including the Paint the Night parade and the World of Color Happiness!  fountain show.

Which Park is the Better Value for the Evening Ticket?

Disneyland Mad Tea Party nighttime

We say the Evening Ticket is a better value for Disneyland Park than for Disney California Adventure.

With more nighttime shows scheduled, including Paint the Night, Wondrous Journeys, and Fantasmic!, Disneyland Park provides more opportunities for mass quantities of people to call it a day and exit the park after each of these performances, which leaves the park emptier and emptier as the night goes on. Additionally, even after the last of these shows ends, there’s still at least an hour left before the park closes.

At Disney California Adventure, the timeline is a little more crammed, partially because the park closes at 10 PM as opposed to Disneyland Park’s 12 AM closing time. The heavy-hitting rides at Disney California Adventure also never really calm down. Even toward the end of the night, you’ll still likely face a long wait for headliners like Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! or Radiator Springs Racers.

Timing of the Evening Ticket with Other Disneyland Events

D23 convention center

It’s not typical for Disneyland to have an offer like the Evening Ticket. As always with discounts, it means Disney is trying to incentivize more people to come during this particular stretch of the calendar.

This may indicate Disney predicts lower crowds in the parks on those eligible dates. Again, those are Sundays through Wednesdays, from July 12 through August 5, 2026.

The Evening Ticket offer ends just before a wave of special events at and near Disneyland Resort: Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party from August 13 to 16, D23 Day on August 13, D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event from August 14 to 16, the first night of Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party on August 18, and the kickoff of Halloween Time and Plaza de la Familia on August 21.

Normally, August is a slow time to visit, but the Evening Ticket offer only lasts through August 5, which may indicate Disney expects crowds to pick up once those events get underway.
