Happy Ice Coming to Downtown Disney as Official Location

Happy Ice Truck in Downtown Disney

Happy Ice, a Philadelphia Italian ice brand that began in 2017 as a single food truck in Los Angeles and has since grown into a “cultural phenomenon,” will be opening a new cart at Downtown Disney at some point this month. There is no official date as of right now. Happy Ice has created some unique offerings, especially for this new cart.

This new location in Downtown Disney will have Happy Ice’s first all-natural menu, featuring “handcrafted Philadelphia water ice made with real fruit, pure cane sugar, and premium ingredients, free from high-fructose corn syrup and artificial dyes.” This is a departure from other Italian ice brands, setting Happy Ice apart for its commitment to real, natural ingredients.

Happy Ice has also created JOY-LATI, a new dessert with “Italian ice, vanilla sweet cream, sauces, fresh fruit” in layers for this Downtown Disney cart. Flavors for JOY-LATI include Banana Pudding and Strawberry Shortcake.

There will also be new specialty flavors for Happy Ice’s regular Italian ice, like Berry Bonanza and Cloud 9. They will offer various fruit-based sauces as a topping and exclusive flavors rotating on a monthly basis.

As previously mentioned, this is not the first time that Happy Ice has been in Downtown Disney. It has had some temporary pop-up locations in Downtown Disney, located near the Star Wars Trading Post, but this time, the location is here to stay as an official location. No location for this new cart has been announced, but since Happy Ice’s trucks and carts tend to be in that area, there is a high chance that this new one will be, too.

“I grew up a huge Disney kid, so opening Happy Ice at Downtown Disney is truly a full-circle moment,” said Lemeir Mitchell, Founder and CEO of Happy Ice. “I started this business to bring people together and to create lasting memories through desserts that make people smile. Happy Ice was built around happiness, hospitality, and community, so being part of The Happiest Place on Earth feels like exactly where we’re meant to be.”

If you are visiting Disneyland this summer, stop by the new Happy Ice cart at Downtown Disney and enjoy some handcrafted, unique desserts.
