The Wonderful World of Disney

The Wonderful World of Disney programming block has its origins as far back as 1954, when Walt Disney himself showcased his under-construction Disneyland theme park to millions of television viewers weekly.

Today, ABC occasionally revives The Wonderful World of Disney as a primetime programming slot for Disney movies.

Here’s the lineup for The Wonderful World of Disney this holiday season, along with official program descriptions from ABC.

This will mark the first time ABC has broadcast Mickey’s Christmas Carol since 2003. That year, the special aired as part of a celebration for Mickey’s 75th birthday. During commercial breaks of that 2003 broadcast, celebrities shared their favorite memories of Mickey. We’re glad to see this animated classic back on airwaves after a 23-year hiatus.
