This Might Be the Best Hotel Quick Service Breakfast at Disney World

Of all the different foods available at various quick service restaurants across Walt Disney World, the breakfast options are typically the most bland and varied in their quality.

Specifically at the the Walt Disney World resorts, I have tried many different quick service options and often walked away full but not satisfied. Many days I end up eating groceries that we have ordered in the room and waiting until 10:30 am for the first restaurants to open in the parks. Breakfast also doesn't always line up with our Disney World park touring strategies.

However, on a recent trip, we found that one of our favorite resort quick service restaurants has great breakfast options in addition to its impressive lunch menu.

Disney's Riviera Resort Primo Piatto

I've previously written about how much we enjoy Primo Piatto at the Riviera Resort. This is a quick service located in the bottom of this Disney Vacation Club resort that we actually travel out of our way to enjoy. For lunch, it's an easy stop along Disney's Skyliner between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios when park hopping.

For breakfast, it would be easy to pop over here from many of the rooms at Disney's Caribbean Resort and of course from the Riviera Resort itself.

This was my first time eating breakfast here and I was very pleased with how much better the food tasted than at another recent breakfast from quick service at Disney's Beach Club Resort.

The restaurant is a quick service style location where you order from a counter, but food comes out on real plates and the entire experience feels elevated. If you are looking for a great hotel breakfast before heading to the parks this is likely your best option. You can either use Disney World mobile order to put in your food in advance or just walk downstairs and order. Generally, if you order in person your food will come out on the nicer plates for you to sit down there and if you mobile order it will come out in plastic containers in our experience.

Some highlights of the food here include a Croque Madame sandwich with a fried egg on top, a breakfast panini on focaccia bread, blueberry-lemon pancakes, a breakfast pizza, and of course Mickey waffles. All of these are offered at a comparable price to other quick services but are executed at a higher quality. There are also a lot of baked goods for you to consider. Anyone can find great food options here.

I was quite tempted by the these sticky buns but I was able to resist for future sugar later in our day.

In addition to great food, there are lots of drink options here.

Here's a look at the great breakfast that we enjoyed from Primo Piatto at Riviera Resort. There's many more items that I want to try the next time that I'm here. The general aesthetic of the restaurant is so inviting that I look forward to being back.

We enjoyed the Mickey-shaped waffles with eggs.

The Frittata with bacon, gruyere, carmelized onions, and fresh herbs.

And, the Turkey Bagel Sandwich with bacon cream cheese, tomato, and egg. We had done a mobile order for this option which is why it came in this black container.

I'd still love to see some addition here to have something like an omelete, but of all the breakfast options that I've tried across resorts these were my favorite and definitely also my favorite surroundings.

Overall though, Primo Piatto pulls in the theming from the rest of the Riviera Resort and delivers a fantastic Disney World quick service breakfast that is worth trying out during a stay at this hotel or the neighboring resorts.
