Disney World INCREASING Prices On Annual Passes and 1-Day Tickets

Overnight Walt Disney World increased prices for their annual passes and tickets with dates in the later end of 2025.

We have been predicting a price increase coming to Walt Disney World to follow the recent price increase we saw at Disneyland which impacted tickets, Magic Keys, and the cost of Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Likely the only reason they didn't happen at the same time was because of Hurricane Milton.

Let's breakdown this newest price increase for Walt Disney World which generated an increase of up to $100 on annual passes and significantly raised the cost for the holiday season at the park next year.

Walt Disney World Ticket Price Increase for 2025

Walt Disney statue

Let's start first with the Walt Disney World ticket price increase which raised the maximum ticket price for dates in 2025 along with a minimum floor increase which is the first we've seen since 2019.

The pricing released for November and December 2025 has raised the maximum tiered pricing to the highest we've seen. Now the new tiered pricing for Walt Disney World tickets reaches as high as $199 for Magic Kingdom which is the most popular park at Walt Disney World. This example is from one of the most expensive dates that was released for the end of 2025. For comparison, the lowest priced park on that same day (Animal Kingdom) is priced at $179.

Previously, peak holiday prices for the parks varied from $164 for Animal Kingdom to the highest price of $189 for Magic Kingdom.

Here is the peak pricing for the most expensive dates in 2024 based on each theme park:

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $164
  • EPCOT: $179
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $184
  • Magic Kingdom: $189

And if we look at the new range for 2025 dates, we see a notable increase in this tiered pricing along with an increase of the base minimum per day price:

  • Disney’s Animal Kingdom: $119-$174
  • EPCOT: $129-$194
  • Disney’s Hollywood Studios: $139-$194
  • Magic Kingdom: $139-$199

The biggest takeaway to pull from this data is Walt Disney World has also effectively raised the floor minimum for Walt Disney World 1-day ticket prices from $109 to $119. This is notable as this has been one of their biggest promotional callouts since they transitioned to park-specific pricing in 2022 and now they have effectively raised that minimum permanently.

When Walt Disney World transitioned to park-specific pricing in 2022, there was a big increase for the highest-priced tickets which saw an 18.87% increase from $159 to $189. Between the years of 2014-2025, the lowest-priced 1 Day ticket at Disney World has increased in cost by $25, a 26.6% increase. In this timeframe, the highest-priced 1 Day ticket at Disney World has increased in cost by $100, a 101.01% increase. You can read more about the Walt Disney World historical price increases in our study.

This loss of the $109 minimum day, per the data we compiled in this study, shows this has been the lowest tiered day since 2019 which has something that Disney has consistently advertised. Despite that loss, it's not that we see that lowest tiered day too often anyways. It is typically just a few scattered days, most often in August and September. This is the case for 2025 with just 21 days of the year falling in that price range in August and September. And keep in mind, this lowest price is for Animal Kingdom. When you look at the cost for Magic Kingdom, the price goes up to $139 per ticket.

Magic Kingdom Reaches All Time High

Cinderella Castle

Magic Kingdom is one of the most visited theme parks in the world so it makes sense that they are often left out of the most affordable price categories and set the bar for maximum pricing.

This is the case for the 1-day park-specific pricing with even the cheapest days of the year for Magic Kingdom coming in at $139 per ticket. Hollywood Studios comes in second in terms of popularity and its pricing reflects that with the minimum ticket price also sitting at $139.

In terms of maximum price, this increase brings the cost of Magic Kingdom on peak days of the year (typically weeks that align with Thanksgiving and Christmas) to $199 making a day at Magic Kingdom nearly $200. This is the threshold we just saw Disneyland reach with their latest ticket increase, Now for both Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, peak travel days of the year can cost nearly $200 for a one day visit to these iconic theme parks.

Walt Disney World Raises Annual Pass Prices

Hollywood Studios

Walt Disney World's price increase on annual passes is effective today, October 23, 2024, with some passes receiving increases as large as $100.

The increase impacts all four annual pass tier types with an increase range of about $30 to $100 depending on the type of pass. The biggest price increase impacted the most expensive passes which come with more unlimited visit options and perks.

Looking at Disney World Annual Pass prices from 2015 to now, the lowest-priced pass option was $259 and has now risen to $469, an 81.08% increase. The highest-priced annual pass has risen from $829 in 2015 to $1,549, an 86.85% increase.

The new pricing for the Walt Disney World annual passes is below.

Pass NameOld PriceNew Price
Pixie Dust Pass$439$469
Pirate Pass$799$829
Sorcerer Pass$999$1,079
Incredi-Pass$1,449$1,549

This increase is more significant than the last annual pass increase that came to Walt Disney World on October 11, 2023. Last year Disney the increase reached a maximum of $50 with a minimum of $30 to the annual passes. This year that range was brought up to $100 for a maximum increase with the most deluxe pass, Incredi-Pass, receiving a $100 price hike.

One of the reasons Disney raises prices on annual passes is often an attempt to lower the population of annual passholders in the theme parks to help control crowd levels and make more space for tourists that arguably tend to be higher spenders.

  1. It would be wonderful if we could visit Disneyland for a few days like we use to years ago. But because the company uses the parks as a cash cow to offset losses in other Disney enterprises, all the cost increases have made it impossible for a very many people to attend. That includes my wife and I. We are fairly active considering our respective age of 85 and 91 but the cost has excluded us. Why is there not a lower price for we slower-moving older people?
