Some Disney World Tickets Have Increased 101.01% in the Past Decade – New Price Increase Study

Disney World prices have increased over the years since the Magic Kingdom's opening in 1971, when general admission cost $3.50. Based on the recent Disney World price increases, we have put together this information looking at the increases over the past decade.

Disney World is currently a major focus of Disney's expansion plans, with several new attractions and lands coming to its parks. Expansion plans include a reimagining of DinoLand U.S.A. into a land inspired by the Tropical Americas coming to Animal Kingdom, a Monsters, Inc. land with a suspended coaster coming to Hollywood Studios, and a Villains Land and two new Cars attractions coming to Magic Kingdom.

Disney World Ticket Increases

Tracking Disney World prices from 2014-2025, the lowest-priced 1 Day ticket at Disney World has increased in cost by $25, a 26.6% increase. In this timeframe, the highest-priced 1 Day ticket at Disney World has increased in cost by $100, a 101.01% increase.

Looking at Disney World Annual Pass prices from 2015 to now, the lowest-priced pass option was $259 and has now risen to $469, an 81.08% increase. The highest-priced annual pass has risen from $829 in 2015 to $1,549, an 86.85% increase.

1 Park Per Day Disney World Ticket Price Increases

You can see the historical Disney World 1 Day ticket prices from 2014-2025 reflected in the graph above.

In 2014, the starting year for our graph above, tickets used to be divided into Magic Kingdom and non-Magic Kingdom pricing, with the 2014 price increase placing non-Magic Kingdom tickets at $94 and Magic Kingdom tickets at $99. For the purposes of the graph above, the prices are reflected as of the 2014 increase.

In 2016, Disney World introduced seasonal ticket pricing for one-day tickets, with tickets divided into three categories: Value, Regular, or Peak. At that time, a Peak day at Magic Kingdom would cost $124.

In 2018, Disney World changed its ticket structure to date-based pricing. With this shift, the lowest-priced 1 Day 1 Park ticket increased to $109 in October 2018 from its $102 pricing earlier that year from the price increase in February. For the purposes of our graph, the $102 pricing from the February 2018 increase is listed.

Disney World introduced park-specific pricing for 1-Day 1 Park tickets in 2022, with the lowest-priced tickets at Animal Kingdom costing $109 and the highest-priced tickets at Magic Kingdom costing $189. This was a particularly significant jump for the highest-priced tickets at an 18.87% increase from $159 to $189.

The pricing has not changed from this range in 2024, but in 2025, the lowest-priced 1-Day tickets start at $119 on the Disney World calendar and the highest prices go to $199. This is a year-to-year increase of 9.17% from 2024-2025 for the lowest-priced 1-day ticket and a 5.29% increase from 2024-2025 for the highest-priced 1-day ticket.

Annual Pass Price Increases

Disney World changed its annual pass program in 2015, with the highest-priced pass being the Platinum Pass Plus, and the lowest-priced pass with an equivalent today being the Weekday Select Pass (excluding the Epcot After 4 Annual Pass for Florida Residents, which was discontinued does not have an equivalent today).

Looking at Disney World Annual Pass prices from 2015 to now, the lowest-priced pass option was $259 as the Weekday Select Pass and has now risen to $469 as the roughly equivalent Pixie Pass, an 81.08% increase. The highest-priced annual pass, the Platinum Pass Plus, has risen from $829 in 2015 to $1,549 as the roughly equivalent current Incredi-Pass, an 86.85% increase.
