Element by Westin Anaheim Resort Convention Center is a new hotel located within walking distance of the Disneyland Resort. Element by Westin is perfect for families with large rooms including options with bunk beds plus large kitchenettes in every room. The rooms are some of the most spacious options I have enjoyed at the local Anaheim hotels near Disneyland. Element by Westin Disneyland also includes an excellent complimentary breakfast buffet that offers a variety of options each day.
Our Element by Westin review includes an overview of this large hotel room, the great breakfast buffet, and its amenities. This review has also now been updated with a recent stay that gives you a look in an additional room type.
One of the biggest advantages Element by Westin has over its competitors is that it is a brand-new hotel so everything is still in pristine shape in comparison to some of the older properties near Disneyland. The Element by Westin offers several different room options but each one includes a large kitchen for families that may want to take advantage of Disneyland grocery delivery to save money on food at the parks.

Element By Westin Disneyland Two Queen Studio
After one of our earlier visits to the Element By Westin Anaheim, we returned and enjoyed the Two Queen Suite studio. You can see a majority of our corner room studio in the photo above. The couch pulls out into a comfortable bed also.
To the left of the edge of the above photo is a kitchenette. You can see that in the below photo.
Then, here's a look at the bathroom off the main room. It's sleek and comfortable. There is only a shower here and no bath.
Here's a closer look out from our room towards the theme parks.

Element by Westin Disneyland Kid's Suite Review
During our visit, we stayed in the Kid's Suite with One King Bed. The Element by Westin suite included a set of bunk beds complete with bedside lights and USB chargers in a living area with a sofa that pulls out to a double sofa bed.
With the sofa bed pulled out, there's not quite as much walking room in this space but the counter under the TV provides seating with the barstools so you are not sacrificing your seating space too much by having the sofa bed pulled out.
My son loved these bunk beds. There is something about bunk beds that just excites kids and even teenagers! These are large bunk beds and easily fit my tall teenager. They would even work with average-sized adults as well. During our stay, my son made this area of the suite his own space and enjoyed the privacy it gave him.
The middle of the suite is where the bathroom is located which nicely separates the two areas of the suite giving the area with the bunk beds and the space with the other bed more privacy. There is only one bathroom provided in all the room types at the Element by Westin.
This is a standing, walk-in shower (no bathtub option) with all new finishings. The water pressure was fantastic and you could easily see the brand new finishings reflected in the style of the bathroom. At local Disneyland hotels, bathrooms are usually the first to begin showing indications of age.
The kitchenette is extremely impressive as it includes a full sink, dishwasher, stovetop, large mini fridge, and microwave.
Element by Westin even provides pots, pans, and storage containers.
Another drawer includes silverware and a top shelf offers glasses. There was even dish soap provided and dish towels.
This kitchenette is fully ready for a family to begin cooking a meal which is a great budget tip to save money on a Disneyland stay.
The area with the king bed was also extremely spacious with two side tables equipped with USB and regular outlets. The hotel does sit right next to the interstate so our view was just of the neighboring hotel and part of the interstate. I did not find sleeping next to the interstate loud at all, once you closed the blinds, it stifled any potential noise. The blinds were also very effective at blocking out light making the option for afternoon naps for kids so much easier to manage. You can also request a theme park view room which faces in the opposite direction from the interstate with a small upcharge.
This space also had its own TV, wardrobe, and desk. I loved the dual TVs in the suite which was a nice touch to fully separate the two separate living areas. The desk in this part of the suite also included dresser drawers and I felt there was plenty of space and storage for a large family.
I loved the room at Element by Westin and while it was bigger than my son and I usually need, I enjoyed having the extra space. It can be easy to feel like you're stepping on your family after a few days at a hotel which is something my small family even experiences, I can only imagine how much worse that can get for larger groups. The room options here are perfect for families and larger groups. Or even a small group that desires that extra space and the option of cooking meals in the hotel!
Element by Westin Free Breakfast Buffet Review
One of my favorite parts of staying at the Element by Westin I need to mention in my review is the daily breakfast buffet that largely exceeded my expectations. This was by far one of the most impressive complimentary breakfast buffets I have ever seen at a local Disneyland hotel!
The menu was changed out daily offering a variety of choices which included a breakfast taco bar, waffles, pancakes, french toast, biscuits and gravy, and even crepes.
There were also standard favorites like bacon, potatoes, eggs, cereal, bagels, muffins, toast, and fruit.
There was also a large selection of breakfast beverages provided like orange and apple juice, a sweeter red juice beverage plus coffee with even almond milk available.
We took advantage of the breakfast daily which was another way to save money on our days at the parks and saved us time during our Disneyland morning strategy since we didn't need to eat right away. The hours for the Element by Westin breakfast buffet are Monday-Friday 6:30 – 9:30 AM and Saturday-Sunday 7:00 – 10:00 AM. As always with most hotel breakfasts, the earlier you arrive, the less crowded it is.
But there was plenty of seating so even on days we arrived later, we did not have issues. The staff was also extremely on top of things keeping the breakfast stocked and everything clean. It did not have the chaotic feel that some free hotel breakfasts can have since the staff was so diligent and the space was so large.
Element by Westin Pool & Outdoor Space
Element by Westin provides a large outdoor space with plenty of outdoor seating and patio grills that guests can take advantage of.
The pool is notably quite small for a hotel that caters to large families so this is the biggest drawback in our Element by Westin review.
There is also no hot tub offered.
On hot days, you can expect the pool area to fill up quickly. So while other areas of the hotel exceeded our expectations, the pool did not make our list of top Anaheim hotel pools for kids near Disneyland.
The location right next to the interstate also made this pool area a bit noisy despite the hotel's efforts to play music to drown it out.
Element by Westin Amenities
The full list of Element by Westin amenities includes:
- Free Breakfast Buffet
- Free Coffee/Tea in main lobby, available all day
- Outdoor Pool
- Fitness Center
- Bicycle Rental
- Convenience Store
- Gift Shop
- Dry Cleaning Service
- Laundry
- Wake up Calls
- Kitchenette
- Free Wi-Fi
Most of these amenities are fairly standard but the two that stood out to me were the free breakfast buffet and the bike rental. I have never seen a bike rental option at a Disneyland Anaheim hotel before so I thought that was really neat.
This hotel is also pet-friendly for a $50 per night charge or $150 per stay, nonrefundable pet deposit.
Check-in is 4 PM and check-out is 11 AM. We checked in fairly early at noon but our room was already available. Don't ever count on this but it's a nice surprise when it happens.
On-site parking is either $5 per hour or $22 per day. If you book with our travel partner, Get Away Today, you will receive discounted parking during your stay along with lower rates than are offered directly through the hotel. Book your Element Anaheim hotel stay here!>
Element by Westin Walk to Disneyland
Before we talk about the walk to Disneyland from the Element by Westin, look at these cute little Mickey footsteps they have out front to show guests which direction to start walking in!
The walk to Disneyland from Element by Westin is about an 18-minute walk according to Google maps but it is likely close to 15 minutes so it is a bit far compared to other hotels we have enjoyed like the Tropicana Inn & Suites Hotel which is directly across the street or the Howard Johnson Anaheim which is a ten-minute walk just down the road. This is the main disadvantage of the Element by Westin to note in our review, this is quite a long walk to the front entrance of the park.
The walk is just under a mile so it's definitely doable but may feel long at the end of a long park day. Even though this walk is a bit longer compared to other locations, we still think this is one of the best hotels within walking distance of Disneyland! There is an Anaheim Resort Transit bus stop right by the hotel or guests can take Uber/Lyft for about $7 per ride.
Is the Element by Westin Disneyland Worth It?
Due to the the newness of this modern hotel plus the large rooms and free breakfast, yes I say Element by Westin Disneyland is worth it especially if you are looking for a Disneyland hotel that offers an in-room kitchen and more space. This is a perfect family hotel for large groups and the rooms with bunk bed options are perfect for kids.
The main two downsides of the Element by Westin are the small pool and the longer walk in comparison to other hotels. If you are worried about the walk, you can easily take rideshare which we took advantage of during our stay and was easy and convenient.
The pool itself is also just fine for kids to enjoy and if you go earlier you may avoid the larger groups of families enjoying it at the same time. But it is directly next to the interstate and you can hear the noise of traffic even over the music they have playing.
Overall, the newness and cleanliness of Element by Westin made this an impressive choice. The staff even put up Halloween decorations as our stay was at the same time as Halloween season at Disneyland and our first night included a visit to Oogie Boogie Bash. It was a nice touch to see the hotel decorate for Halloween!
The walk to Disneyland from the Element by Westin Anaheim hotel is about 15 minutes depending on the pace of your group.
Parking is $22 per night or $5 per hour at Element by Westin Anaheim.
No, the Element by Westin does not have a shuttle but the ART (Anaheim Resort Transit) has a bus stop at the hotel.
If you have a theme park view room, yes you will be able to see a limited view of the Disneyland fireworks from Element by Westin.
We were hosted by Element by Westin for this honest review but all our thoughts are our own.
