The Howard Johnson Anaheim Hotel & Water Playground is well-known for its Castaway Cove pirate-themed water playground. This water playground features a large pirate ship for kids to climb with two water slides, water cannons, and sprinklers. There is also a smaller splash pad located next to this water area for smaller kids to enjoy. For older kids and teens, there's a secondary pool that is perfect for relaxing and cannonballs.

This hotel is a great choice for a Disneyland vacation as it's only a short eight-minute walk from the front gates of the park. The Courtyard Anaheim Marriott Theme Park Entrance is just a ten-minute walk from Disneyland with its own small outdoor waterpark. This is a popular hotel in the Disneyland area for its amenities and large guest rooms. The pool area at the Courtyard Anaheim Marriott called the Surfside Waterpark, is the draw for this Disneyland area hotel. This waterpark boasts two large water slides, a water playground with a drench bucket, splash pad and smaller water slides, a hot tub, and a heated pool. The nice part of the Courtyard Anaheim Marriott is the inclusion of the larger water slides making this a hotel water park that appeals to all ages of kids, not just smaller children.
