Disneyland ART Anaheim Shuttle Bus Tips
I have used the Disneyland ART shuttle ever since my first trip to Disneyland with my son. I am a big fan of conserving my energy for the parks instead of walking to the parks if our hotel isn't right across the street. As someone who has used ART consistently over the years, here's some of my best tips:
- Use the app to track the ART bus. You can see the bus times and track how far away your bus is.
- The last bus of the day will leave 30 minutes after Disneyland closes so make sure you allow enough time to get to the bus transportation area or you will end up having to walk.
- The end of the night is the busiest time to use ART and depending on the crowd level the buses may fill up. This is another incentive to get to the bus stop right away after the park closes.
- If you are riding the bus during a busy time of day (usually before park opens and end of the night) you may have to stand if all the seats are filled.
- You can bring strollers, wheelchairs, and scooters on the buses. The bus driver will assist guests if needed.
- The ART bus doesn't always come at the same time so you may end up waiting a bit for your bus to arrive.
- If you plan on using ART to get to the parks for rope drop, make sure to line up at the bus stop early just in case it arrives early!
- ART does staff for extra crowded times of the year so you won't wait as long as they may have multiple buses running routes.
- Most of the bus drivers are incredibly pleasant and can help you plan the most efficient way to and from your hotel. Just ask if you have questions!
Overall, don't believe the bad stories you may hear about ART. Everyone has a story about the bus not arriving or being late but just like any public transportation, you will have a variety of experiences. My experience has been overall positive and I'm consistently surprised at how resistant some guests can be to using it.
If you are looking to save energy, avoid walking at night, are traveling with kids, or have physical disabilities ART is a great option. And it is cheaper than using rideshare at Disneyland. I have had mixed experiences using rideshare to go the similar short distances to Disneyland that ART covers. Many drivers won't accept the ride because they feel like it's not worth their time so you may end up waiting a bit and at that point, you could have saved money and just used the Disneyland ART shuttle.
Disneyland Hotels That Use ART
Most of the hotels near Disneyland have an Disneyland ART shuttle bus stop within quick walking distance or even right in front the hotel. Sometimes these hotels will advertise having a shuttle to Disneyland and most often they are just referring to the Disneyland ART shuttle. There are only a few Disneyland hotels with their own shuttle to Disneyland. The same company that operates the ART Shuttle now also offers a shuttle which is one of the best ways to get from the John Wayne Orange County Airport to Disneyland.
