The Disneyland fireworks can be viewed inside the theme park or from a number of different vantage points in Anaheim. There are a number of Disneyland hotels where you can watch the Disneyland fireworks from outside the theme park.
Disneyland puts on a variety of fireworks shows throughout the year. During the busiest times of the year, fireworks happen every night and during the off-season fireworks only happen on weekends.
To celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company at Disneyland, Disney is launching a new fireworks show, Wondrous Journeys, on January 27th, 2023. The show will honor all 60 films from the Walt Disney Animation Studios. The show will run with projections only on some nights and with projections and fireworks on other nights. Guests can check the Disneyland entertainment schedule for the specific nights when fireworks will be shown.

Watching the Disneyland Fireworks Outside the Parks
If guests want to avoid the hustle and bustle of watching the fireworks inside Disneyland, there’s also the option to watch the show from a hotel with a Disneyland fireworks view.
The Disneyland fireworks can be seen from outside the park with many guests pausing for a view of the fireworks from Downtown Disney or the Esplanade that connects Disneyland and California Adventure. There are several hotels near Disneyland to watch Disneyland fireworks that offer great views from rooftop restaurants, bars, and balconies. Some hotels even pipe in the music for the fireworks show each night. If you don’t have a Disneyland ticket for the day you can still enjoy the Disneyland fireworks from outside the parks. This is a relaxing way to enjoy a spectacular view of the fireworks without dedicating hours to reserving a spot.
For more on the Disneyland fireworks shows throughout the year and tips to watch, see our Disneyland fireworks guide.
Here’s our top list of favorite hotels and lounges that offer the best views of Disneyland fireworks. For the restaurants and lounges, be sure to make a reservation for/arrive 30-45 minutes before the fireworks are shown so that you are able to enjoy food or drinks leading into the show.
We didn’t include the official Disneyland Resort Hotels (Disneyland Hotel and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel) on this list though you can view the fireworks from many rooms of those hotels and the official soundtrack and be turned on from the TV. In all cases be sure to request a fireworks view room when booking your hotel.
