Disneyland Street Addresses: Hotels and Theme Parks

When it comes to planning your next trip to Disneyland Resort, it pays to leave no stone unturned, including details like addresses, parking, and drop off information.

Disneyland Resort vacation planning is arguably much simpler than Walt Disney World vacation planning. There’s 2 theme parks instead of 4, 3 Disney resort hotels instead of 31, and its much smaller shopping district has under 50 shops and restaurants instead of over 150. However, the difference in size shouldn’t have you rest on your laurels when it comes to how to get to Disneyland.

Because of its smaller size and its nearby cities, the vast majority of Disneyland guests drive themselves to the theme parks or use a rideshare system or walk to the theme parks from one of the good neighbor hotels. This makes planning how to get to the theme parks and resorts that much more important, especially compared to the complimentary transportation systems at Walt Disney World. As frequent visitors of the Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, we’ve figured out all the details regarding all the addresses you need to know to make your next Disneyland vacation the most magical one yet.

The theme park that literally started them all, Disneyland was the culmination of over 50 year years of Walt Disney’s experience in the entertainment industry. With over 70 attractions, ranging from the classic Haunted Mansion to Disneyland’s latest attraction, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, there will surely be something for everyone in the family to enjoy.

Yes, you read that right – Disney California Adventure shares the same address as Disneyland!

That’s because the entrance to Disney California Adventure is literally a 1-2 minute walk from the entrance to Disneyland. Built over the original Disneyland parking lot, Disney California Adventure now houses attractions themed after our favorite Pixar and Marvel movies, with sprinkles of some classic Disney characters of course! Disney California Adventure is also home to several yearly festivals, including the Food & Wine Festival, Festival of the Holidays, and Lunar New Year Celebration.

Parking at Disneyland Resort

Due to their close proximity, guests driving to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure will route their favorite maps app to the address we listed earlier and park at 1 of 3 parking areas:

1. Mickey & Friends Parking Structure
2. Pixar Pals Parking Structure
3. Toy Story Parking Area

When you arrive at the address listed above, road signs will direct you to 1 of the 3 parking areas. The parking area you go to depends on which parking areas have available spaces. In our experience, if arriving before noon, you will likely park in the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure and Pixar Pals Parking Structure. If arriving in the afternoon, you will likely park in the Toy Story Parking Area.

The time of day you will be directed to a different parking area depends on how quickly preceding parking areas fill up. On less crowded days, you’ll likely be able to grab a spot in one of the parking structures even in the early afternoon. On more crowded days, you’re more likely to be directed to the Toy Story Parking Area earlier in the afternoon.

Guest Pickup and Drop-Off Locations for Disneyland Resort

When getting dropped off by family or friends or when using rideshare such as Uber or Lyft, there are 2 drop-off locations for guests visiting Disneyland Resort theme parks or the Downtown Disney District:

1. Harbor Boulevard: This drop-off location is closest to the Disneyland and Disney California Adventure entrance, but it also tends to be busier than the Downtown Disney District drop-off. Enter the drop-off area from the right southbound lane of South Harbor Boulevard between South Manchester Avenue and Disney Way.
2. Downtown Disney District: While this drop-off location is less busy than Harbor Boulevard, it also puts you a little farther away from the Disneyland and Disney California Adventure entrance. Take Magic Way from Disneyland Drive, then turn left at Downtown Drive and follow signs to the drop-off area. Be aware that standard parking rates apply after the 15-minute grace period.

Finally, please note that while brief waiting is permitted, parking or unattended vehicles are not allowed in either drop-off area.

Security Screening Process at Disneyland Resort

Before entering into Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, or Downtown Disney District, all guests must go through the security screening process.

In contrast with the contactless security scanners used at Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort still utilizes the older-style metal detectors and physical bag check. However, Disneyland Resort does have specific lines for guests with bags and guests without bags to make the lines move a little smoother.

Pro Tip: If you’re walking into Disneyland Resort with a backpack, bag, purse, or even multiple bags, make sure unzip all the compartments in your bag. This makes it quicker and easier for security Cast Members to go through your bag, thus making the entire security screening process smoother for everyone!

Disneyland Resort offers 3 hotels for guests to stay at to be closer to the magic, with the newest one just open in early 2024! Let’s go over the 3 different resort hotels to stay at, including their main addresses.

Disneyland Hotel Address

The original hotel of the 3, Disneyland Hotel is just a short walk through Downtown Disney from Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Disneyland Hotel most recently opened their Disney Vacation Club tower named The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. Disneyland Hotel is also the location for the famous Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar.

Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Address

For guests wanting an even closer stay to the theme parks, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa is as close as it gets. With a dedicated entrance into Disney California Adventure from the hotel lobby, Disney’s Grand Californian boasts a craftsman-style elegance with Disney’s impeccable service. Disney’s Grand Californian also houses famous confectionary displays for Halloween and the Holiday season, a must-see for guests.

Pixar Place Hotel Address

Pixar Place Hotel is the first and only hotel in the world to celebrate every single animated feature from Pixar Animation Studios. The newest of the Disneyland Resort hotels, Pixar Place Hotel features contemporary designs mixed with whimsical Pixar artistry. This highly anticipated hotel could easily be a new favorite for Disneyland Resort guests!

Parking at Disneyland Resort Hotels

All 3 Disneyland Resort hotels offer self-parking at an additional fee for registered hotel guests. Additionally, both Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa offer valet parking. Mail Services at Disneyland Resort

One of the lesser known details when planning your Disneyland Resort vacation is how guests are able to send and receive mail during their resort hotel stay!

Sending Mail at Disneyland Resort

Letters and Postcards: Letters and postcards with postage already applied can be mailed from mail boxes located near the Front Desk of each resort hotel

Packages: Pre-packaged, pre-labeled packages can be shipped at the Bell Desk of each resort hotel. Regular shipping and handling fees will apply

Remember, Guest Relations cannot accept mail or packages without postage.

Receiving Mail at Disneyland Resort

Along with receiving mail during your stay, you also have the option of shipping some of your belongings in advance of your Disneyland vacation in order to save luggage space.

If you intend to receive mail during your Disneyland vacation, make sure that the receiving letter or package fulfills 2 requirements:

1. It must include the mailing address of the specific hotel
2. It must clearly feature the word “Guest” on the front and the date of your arrival at the hotel

Remember, deliveries may be delayed depending on the type of service used, including the U.S. Postal Service. It also may take a few extra days to sort and deliver packages or mail to the hotel, so plan to include ample time for delivery.

Downtown Disney District Address

The Downtown Disney District offers plenty of entertainment, restaurants, and shopping to immerse yourself in the Disney magic outside of the 2 Disneyland Resort theme parks. Whether or not you’re looking for the latest Disney merchandise at World of Disney, a Legacy Lightsaber hilt at Star Wars Trading Post, or want to grab a bite to eat at any one of the popular quick service or table service restaurants, you’ll surely find wonderful ways to have a magical time without a theme park ticket!

Parking at Downtown Disney Shopping District

Routing to the address listed above will take you to the main Downtown Disney District parking area, the Simba Lot. This is located off of Disneyland Drive, between West Katella Avenue and Pixar Place Hotel. Guests enter the Simba Lot by turning at the signal light into Downtown Drive and then following signs into the parking area.

Surely if you’ve become an avid Disneyland or Walt Disney World fan, you’ve likely thought of working for The Mouse. For those curious about working at Disneyland Resort, you can find the Disneyland Casting Center right next to Disneyland. In fact, if you’re driving down I-5 passing by Disneyland, you can’t miss it – it’s the long and shiny green-ish building right next to the freeway.
