Each room at the Riviera Resort is thoughtfully designed with European-inspired décor, modern conveniences like complimentary Wi-Fi, flat-panel TVs, and climate control, ensuring a comfortable and luxurious stay for all guests. Handicap accessible rooms feature vary from roll-in showers, assistive hearing devices, and other inclusive options.
One Unique Thing
One of the most unique things about the Riviera Resort are the two beautiful mosaic murals that celebrate Disney storytelling and European artistry. Located in the tunnel walkway between the resort and the Disney Skyliner station, these murals depict scenes from Peter Pan and Tangled. The Peter Pan mural showcases the Darling children flying over London toward Neverland, while the Tangled mural captures Rapunzel’s tower and the lantern festival in the Kingdom of Corona.
Each mural rises 20 feet high and arches overhead, with over one million hand-cut tiles assembled by artisans and Imagineers to create a shared mosaic sky. The themes of flight and water are present in both murals, aligning with the resort’s proximity to the Skyliner and nearby fountains. These murals reflect Walt Disney’s appreciation for European tales and art, offering guests a visual journey into fantasy as they transition between the resort and the parks.

Another less expensive option to stay in a deluxe level resort such as the Riviera Resort is to rent Disney Vacation Club (DVC) points to stay in a deluxe accommodation. Renting DVC points is one of the best kept secrets of saving a ton of money at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, and other Disney destinations that so many guests don’t realize is an option. DVC rental points are a one time rental of a set number of points from a member of the Disney Vacation Club. The points will allow you to book a Deluxe Villa room or other Disney experience at what is typically a discounted rate!
Dining Options at Disney’s Riviera Resort
Disney’s Riviera Resort offers a thoughtfully curated selection of dining experiences that reflect the flavors and charm of the French and Italian Riviera. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite, a relaxing café experience, or a signature rooftop dinner, the resort has something for every taste.
- Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera- Upscale European-inspired dishes such as handmade pasta, seafood, and steak, with spectacular views of EPCOT and Hollywood Studios fireworks. Offers the Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends character dining experience featuring Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy in artist-themed costumes.
- Primo Piatto- Offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner with Mediterranean-inspired options like croissant sandwiches, flatbreads, hearth-baked chicken, and fresh salads.
- La Petit Cafe- Serves artisan coffees, lattes, and espresso drinks by day, transitioning to wine, cordials, and small plates by evening.
- Bar Riva- Features light Mediterranean fare like grilled chicken sandwiches, burrata salad, and signature cocktails.
Transportation Options at Disney’s Riviera Resort
Another huge reason why guests love staying at Riviera is the Skyliner. Riviera is one of four Disney World resorts located along the Skyliner that transports guests in a gondola-style vehicle between each of the resorts as well as EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. If you plan to park hop between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, the Skyliner also travels directly between the two parks, making it very easy for Skyliner resort guests to travel between their resort and these two theme parks.
In addition to the Skyliner, guests of the Riviera Resort also have the option to take a complimentary bus ride between their resort and any of the Disney World theme parks, water parks, or Disney Springs. Buses typically run every 10-20 minutes and are one of many perks to staying on property at a Disney World resort.
Pools and Other Amenities at Disney’s Riviera Resort
Disney’s Riviera Resort offers two beautiful, Mediterranean-themed pools. The Riviera Pool is the main pool that offers a slide around a column tower, and an interactive water play area for kids inspired by the grand public fountains of Europe and a ballet of Fantasia characters. For a quieter and more relaxing pool experience, the smaller Beau Soleil Pool is another great option.
In addition to the Riviera’s pool areas, the resort offers other great amenities and activities for the whole family, including:
- Campfire activities nightly between 6:30 and 7:30 PM
- Movies Under the Stars
- Athlétique Fitness Center, open 24 hours
- Gift shops
- 24-hour self-service laundry rooms and dry cleaning
- Housekeeping services
- Mail services
More importantly, all guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel have access to Early Theme Park Entry which allows resort guests an extra 30 minutes in the theme park before other guests arrive. Early Theme Park Entry is available to all resort guests every single day at every theme park!
Guests of deluxe resorts such as the Riviera Resort can also take advantage of Extended Evening Hours on select nights. Extended Evening Hours offers after-hours access to Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, or Hollywood Studios. Guests taking advantage of Extended Evening Hours can enter the park at 6PM and once the park closes for the evening, and have access to the most popular rides in the park with minimal wait times and crowds.
