Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort Room Types

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has 847 rooms, which includes standard rooms, suites, club level rooms and suites, studios, villas, and bungalows. Each of these room types include access to resort amenities such as pools, dining, recreation, transportation, and early entry to the Walt Disney World theme parks. However, within the rooms, each room type features its own set of amenities.

Standard Rooms and Suites, which sleep up to 5 adults, include a beverage cooler, coffee and tea set up, coffee maker, flat-panel television, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, patio or balcony, pool towels, hair dryer, and bathroom amenities.

In addition to these standard amenities, Rooms and Suites with Club Level Service also include access to concierge service at the King Kamehameha Club, complementary health club access, personalized front desk and Guest services, and secured key access to the club level lounge. The lounge serves refreshments daily from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

There are two different studio types at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort – Duo Studios, which sleep up to 2 adults, and Deluxe Studios that sleep up to 5 adults. Both of these studio types are equipped with a kitchenette as well as a porch or balcony. The kitchenette has the additional features of a microwave, small refrigerator, toaster, paper plates and bowls, and plastic utensils.

Villas and Bungalows feature spacious living and dining areas, fully-equipped kitchens, and a washer and dryer. The kitchens include a full-size refrigerator, stove, oven, plates, bowls, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and a dishwasher. Villas and Bungalows also both have separate bedrooms, sleeping up to 9 adults in the Villas and 8 adults in the Bungalows. The overwater bungalows also include a private deck as well as a plunge pool.

Beyond the different room types, there are also different views to choose from.

  • Resort View rooms have views of the garden, landscaping, monorail, or parking area.
  • Water View rooms have views of the pool, Marina, or Seven Seas Lagoon.
  • Preferred View rooms have views of the pool, landscaping, parking area, or golf course.
  • Premium View rooms have views of Seven Seas Lagoon.
  • Theme Park View rooms have views of Magic Kingdom and Seven Seas Lagoon.

Average Cost for Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

The cost to stay at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort varies depending on room type, view, and what time of year you’ll be staying. 

  • Standard Rooms with a Resort View start at $734 per night and can go as high as $1,711 per night for a Theme Park View room.
  • Club Level Rooms with a Resort View start at $992 per night and go up to $2,151 for a Theme Park View room.
  • Suites range from $1,743 to $6,059 per night.

Prices vary throughout the year. Lower prices are often seen during the slower seasons and higher prices during peak times of the year. The highest prices are usually seen during the winter holidays and on holiday weekends.

One Unique Thing

Beyond the immersive South Pacific theming of this resort, the overwater bungalows are a very unique offering that are only available at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. With incredible views and the waters of the Seven Seas Lagoon lapping against the spacious bungalow, Guests staying in the bungalows feel as if they’ve escaped to a tropical paradise.

Dining Options at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has many different dining options, including poolside refreshments, quick-service meals and snacks, full-service restaurants, and a unique character dining experience.

  • Barefoot Pool Bar – This pool bar is just steps away from the Lava Pool and the white sand beach. Enjoy a specialty cocktail or smoothie as you soak in the tropical oasis that surrounds you. Light bites, quick service meals, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages can also be found here. 
  • Capt. Cook’s – Start your day at Capt. Cook’s with a classic Mickey Waffle or banana-stuffed Tonga Toast. During lunch, dinner, and late into the evening, classic meals and South-Seas inspired dishes are on the menu.
  • Kona Café – Kona Café is known for its Asian twist on American meals. Enjoy the show as you watch the sushi chefs prepare meals in the open kitchen.
  • Kona Island – At this “grab-and-go” location, you can enjoy coffee and pastries in the morning or sushi and desserts in the afternoon and evening.
  • Oasis Bar & Grill – Located next to the Oasis Pool, this tropical bar has a delightful assortment of cocktails, wine, beer, snacks, and quick meals.
  • ‘Ohana – In the morning, enjoy a family-style breakfast as characters such as Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto come around to make your acquaintance. In the evening, enjoy an all-you-care-to-enjoy Polynesian-themed dinner.
  • Pineapple Lanai – This outdoor quick-service location offers a variety of sweet and refreshing Dole Whip options.
  • Tambu Lounge – Great Ceremonial House – Enjoy a relaxing moment at Tambu Lounge as you sip on tropical drinks and indulge in Hawaiian-inspired foods.
  • Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto – This South Seas-inspired bar offers a variety of unique drinks and food and has incredible island theming.
  • Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace – This outdoor lounge brings the island charm with its tropical views and live music. While you’re soaking up the ambiance, enjoy a delicious cocktail or a bite to eat from Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto.

By using the monorail, you can also easily access nearby restaurants at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Transportation

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has two main types of transportation – monorail and bus. However, there are additional options for certain destinations.

  • Magic Kingdom – Monorail, Bus, Water Taxi, on foot via the Grand Floridian walking path
  • EPCOT – Monorail, Bus
  • Hollywood Studios – Bus
  • Animal Kingdom – Bus
  • Disney Springs – Bus
  • Typhoon Lagoon / Blizzard Beach – Bus

You can also use the monorail to get to the other two resorts that are on the monorail loop – Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. If you wish to visit any of the other Walt Disney World Resort hotels, you will need to drive, use a rideshare service, or take a bus to Disney Springs, where you can then transfer to any of the other resort buses.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has a kiddie splash zone as well as three pools, which offer water fun and relaxation.

The main pool at this resort is the Lava Pool. The Lava Pool features a large volcano, a waterfall, a 142-foot long water slide, and a zero-entry pool.

Located at Island Tower is another zero-entry pool called the Cove Pool. This pool gives Guests of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort another opportunity to enjoy fun in the sun.

Also at Island Tower is Moana’s Voyage. This is a splash area that was designed with little ones in mind. Moana’s Voyage features multiple spouts of water as well as a life-size statue of Moana on her canoe.

The Oasis Pool is considered the quiet pool at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. This pool is tucked away in a lush garden, providing an escape from the noise and activity that may be found at the other pool areas.

Patios are available for rent at the Oasis Pool. The Oasis Patios provide you with a shaded area that can accommodate up to 6 Guests. The patios include cushioned lounge chairs, towels, and more. Food and drink orders can be placed from the Oasis Bar & Grill and delivered directly to your patio. Patios are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Advanced reservations can be made by calling 407-WDW-PLAY (407-939-7529).
