
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge captures the heart of Africa through landscaping, decor, dining, and experiences. This resort, which is designed to reflect an African kraal, encompasses multiple savannas. In these savannas, Guests are able to get a close up view of over 200 hooved animals and birds.

Standard Rooms sleep up to 4 adults and include a beverage cooler, coffee and tea setup, coffee maker, flat-panel TV, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, patio or balcony, telephone with voicemail, toiletries, and a hairdryer.
Deluxe Studios sleep up to 4 adults and are equipped with a coffee and tea setup, coffee maker, flat-panel TV, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, microwave, paper plates, bowels, plastic utensils, a patio or balcony, small refrigerator, telephone with voicemail, toiletries, and a hairdryer.
Villas can sleep up to 12 adults and come with a flat-panel TV, in-room safe, iron and ironing board, a patio or balcony, telephone with voicemail, washer and dryer, toiletries, hairdryer, whirlpool tub, and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen includes a coffee and tea setup, coffee maker, dishes, glasses, utensils, dishwasher, microwave, pots, pans, refrigerator, stove, oven, and toaster.
Club Level Rooms, Suites, Deluxe Studios, and Villas have additional amenities such as access to Concierge service at the Kilimanjaro Club, complimentary health club access, complimentary newspapers in the Club Level lounge, personalized front desk and Guest services, and secured key access to the Club Level lounge. One Unique Thing
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is shaped like a horseshoe. This design allows the hotel to curve around 4 savannas. The savannas are home to over 200 hooved animals and birds. Guests have the opportunity to see animals such as giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelope, and more. Many Guests are specifically inclined to stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge with hopes of securing a Savanna View room. This room type allows Guests to see these exotic animals right from their balcony!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge also offers a special Starlight Safari. On this nighttime adventure, Guests are taken out in an open-sided safari vehicle and given night-vision devices, which allows them to see the animals in a unique way.

There are a variety of dining options at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Among these selections, Guests have the opportunity to indulge in snacks, grab n’ go foods, quick-service meals, full-service meals, desserts, and bar services.
- Boma – Flavors of Africa – Stop by Boma – Flavors of Africa to enjoy an all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet for breakfast or dinner. The buffet offers African dishes as well as American, providing options for everyone.
- Cape Town Lounge and Wine Bar – This wine bar features South African wines and a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. In addition to these specialty wines, full bar service is also available. On the menu, Guests will find appetizers that pair perfectly with their drink of choice.
- Jiko – The Cooking Place – At Jiko – The Cooking Place, Guests have the opportunity to enjoy African dishes in a fine dining setting. Wood-burning ovens are used to make a number of items on the seasonally-changing menu.
- Maji Pool Bar – Located near Samawati Springs Pool, this pool bar offers a variety of cocktails, wines, and beer. The menu also includes select foods, such as salads, sandwiches, and snacks.Â
- The Mara – This quick-service location offers something for everyone at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Whether you’re looking for a quick snack, grab n’ go foods, meals, or desserts, you’ll find what you’re looking for at The Mara.
- Sanaa – Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Sanaa provides delicious meals and a beautiful view. Overlooking the Sunset Savanna, Guests can enjoy African and Indian dishes as they watch the animals roam.
- Sanaa Lounge  – This lounge offers specialty drinks and African wines. Pair an Indian appetizer with your drink before stepping outside to watch the animals at the nearby savanna.

Transportation
Disney’s complimentary bus service is the only form of transportation at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Guests can use the buses to get to a variety of locations around Walt Disney World Resort, including:

Those who are wishing to visit other Walt Disney World Resort hotels can do so by taking a bus to Disney Springs. Once there, a transfer will need to be made to the desired resort bus.
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Pools
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has multiple pool locations, which provide a variety of water play opportunities.
Uzima Springs Pool is the main pool of the resort. In the 11,000 square foot area, Guests can enjoy the 234,980-gallon pool and 67-foot long water slide. The pool has a zero-depth entry point, which mimics the natural slope of a real beach.
Samawati Springs Pool is located near the villas of Kidani Village. This 4,700 square foot pool holds 118,138 gallons of water and features a 128-foot long water slide. Uwanja Camp is also located in this area. This water playground has three different sections, which allows kids to enjoy water play for their specific age group. These sections include Observation Station (ages 4 and younger), Departure Zone (ages 5-7), and Base Camp (ages 8+).
