Walt Disney World Refurbishment Calendar 2023

Here are all the current Walt Disney World refurbishments you should be aware of if you're planning a trip in 2023! Walt Disney World may change these dates as these are always just an estimate as different factors can delay these projects such as weather or staffing shortages. It's always best to check the daily Walt Disney World refurbishment calendar on the Disney website the day of your visit to see what is open the day of your park visit.

Magic Kingdom

Attractions

  • Splash Mountain- Closed until late 2024 for its transformation into Tiana's Bayou Adventure
  • Walt Disney World Railroad – The attraction officially reopened on December 23, 2022.
    • The construction of TRON is what caused the closure of the Walt Disney World Railroad so once we see that construction complete, Spring 2023, is when we'll see the railroad return.
    • The railroad will reopen with “an all-new voice to bring guests into the beloved stories they encounter as they travel from one magical land to the next.”
    • The railroad has been closed since December 3, 2018!

  • Enchanted Tales with Belle – Returning February 19 2023
  • Enchantment Fireworks- Ending April 2, 2023
  • Happily Ever After Fireworks- Returns April 3, 2023

EPCOT

  • Epcot Forever – Returning April 3, 2023
  • Harmonious- Ending April 2, 2023.

Hollywood Studios

Attractions

  • Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith – Closing February 20, 2023 until Summer 2023

  • Frozen Sing-Along Celebration – January 9 through January 27, 2023
  • Voyage of the Little Mermaid – No return date announced

Animal Kingdom

Attractions

  • Kali River Rapids – Closed through March 2023
  • Primeval Whirl – Permanently closed and removed from the park

Outside Theme Parks

  • Typhoon Lagoon Water Park – No reopening date announced (Possibly Spring 2023)
  • Disney Skyliner Gondolas –January 22 until January 29, 2023
