Changes are underway across Walt Disney World in Florida and Disneyland in California as new restaurants open, others close, and menus add new items. Some of these are just seasonal tweaks, while others are permanent rollouts. These arrive along with changes to rides and the latest news.
11 dining changes, openings, and closures are happening soon at Disney World and Disneyland. Below, see all the changes in chronological order of their relevant dates. EPCOT Restaurant Reopening
Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT in Walt Disney World has been closed since September 8, 2026. The restaurant was originally scheduled to reopen on November 8, but that date has since been changed to September 29. It will be open for dinner from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

With its reopening, Coral Reef Restaurant will once again be eligible for an Eat to the Beat Concert Series dining package as part of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
Magic Kingdom Lounge Opening
The Diamond Horseshoe, the saloon-style venue in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom, is about to operate as a limited-time dining location serving drinks and light bites.
The menu will serve corn fritters, glazed sticky ribs, mini corn dogs, and other specialties. See the full menu here.
Disney has been concurrently referring to this experience under three different names: The Diamond Horseshoe Pop-Up, The Diamond Horseshoe Lounge, and The Diamond Horseshoe – Limited-Time Offering. This replaces the previous Jessie’s Roundup offering from Cool Kids’ Summer.
Whatever its official name may be, reservations will open on September 29, 2026, at 8:00 PM ET. The restaurant will open for business on October 4.
Disney World Hotel Restaurant Reopening
The Turf Club Bar and Grill at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort has been closed for refurbishment since August 31, 2026. The table service restaurant will reopen on September 30.
According to Disney World’s website, the restaurant will only be open Wednesdays through Sundays. Operating hours are 4:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
This follows refurbishment work earlier this year on the restaurant’s patio and the adjacent Turf Club Lounge.

Last Chance for Meal Deals
11 restaurants at Walt Disney World are currently participating in Magical Dining, an annual campaign organized by Visit Orlando, the city’s official tourism association.
The restaurants taking part in Magical Dining all offer either a $40 or $60 meal special, providing more food than would typically be available for that price. See the list of participating Disney restaurants.
The final day for Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining is September 30, 2026.
Holiday Character Dining Reservations
Disneyland Resort is gearing up for the holiday season with the return of three seasonal character dining experiences.
Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays! is a special buffet for breakfast, brunch, and dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen at the Disneyland Hotel.
Storytellers Café at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel hosts Daisy’s Pajama Party for breakfast and brunch, and Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast for dinner, where characters are dressed in their costumes from the 1983 holiday special!
Reservations for all three of these character meals will launch on October 1, 2026. The character dining event dates are November 16, 2026, through January 3, 2027.

New Halloween Menu Items
Disney’s culinary teams work hard to concoct creative food and beverages to tie in with each seasonal celebration in the parks. A slate of new Halloween food will roll out throughout Walt Disney World theme parks on October 1, 2026.
One of the items is a new take on the viral cookie dough ice cream sandwich that debuted earlier this year at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. See the full list of new Halloween food here.
New Disney World Nightlife Opening
Hurly-Burly is a new dining location opening at Disney’s BoardWalk at Walt Disney World. It will be themed as a century-old theater being revived. The menu includes light bites, like roast beef sliders, and specialty drinks, like a caramel corn Old Fashioned. See the full menu here.
From 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Hurly-Burly will host family-friendly trivia. From 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM, only guests ages 21+ will be allowed to enter, and the space will have live music.
Hurly-Burly will open on October 1, 2026.
Brunch Ending at Disney World Restaurant
Olivia’s Café at Disney’s Old Key West Resort at Walt Disney World is about to change its restaurant operations.
The final day to experience brunch at Olivia’s Café will be October 5, 2026. Starting on October 6, the restaurant will transition to distinct dining periods for breakfast and lunch. Hours have not been announced. Dinner will remain unaffected.
Disney World Lounge Closing for Refurbishment
Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter is home to two side-by-side dining locations named after a character from The Aristocats:
- Scat Cat’s Club – Café, a snack location
- Scat Cat’s Club – Lounge, a bar sometimes featuring live music
Starting on October 6, 2026, both of these venues will be closed for refurbishment.
Scat Cat’s Club – Cafe is expected to reopen in December 2026. During the closure, the shop’s signature beignets will be available at the nearby counter service restaurant, Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory.
Scat Cat’s Club – Lounge is expected to reopen in January 2027. During the closure, a temporary bar will be located in the lobby nearby.
Christmas Entertainment Dining Packages Reservations
Restaurants at Disneyland and Walt Disney World offer dining packages that pair a meal at a table service restaurant with reserved seating for a popular live entertainment production.
Plaza Inn at Disneyland Park hosts a dining package with reserved seating for A Christmas Fantasy Parade. Reservations will launch on October 8, 2026. The dining package will be offered from November 13 to December 30, except for November 25, 26, 29, and 30, and December 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 24, and 25.
15 restaurants at EPCOT at Walt Disney World host dining packages with guaranteed seating for the Candlelight Processional, the park’s Christmas pageant featuring a live orchestra and a celebrity narrator reading the Nativity story. The Candlelight Processional will take place nightly from November 28 through December 30.
