Scat Cat’s Club Café and Lounge at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort- French Quarter will be closing on October 6 for refurbishment. This popular lounge is best known for being the main place at Disney World to enjoy the Mickey-shaped beignets. This is also one of our favorite resort hotel lounges at Disney World and is often included in our resort hopping itineraries.

During the refurbishment, the Mickey-shaped beignets and coffee will temporarily move to Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory. This is the food court that is located just around the corner. We are curious what the setup of the new area will look like.

There is also currently a seasonal beignet option, the Ghoulish Delight beignets, which are a cookies-and-cream version topped with marshmallow drizzle, and these will also move during the refurbishment.

Scat Cat’s Club Café will reopen in December 2026, and the Mickey beignets and coffee will likely return to this spot once it reopens. As for the Scat Cat’s Club Lounge, it is expected to remain closed until January 2027, and no official reopening date has been revealed by Disney yet.

Disney will also be creating a temporary bar near the café while the lounge is closed, and it will operate from 5 PM to 11 PM. The exact food and drink offerings at this temporary bar haven’t been revealed yet. This temporary bar will likely stay available during the duration of the closure for the Scat Cat’s Club Lounge until January 2027.

This Disney World restaurant is so popular, particularly for its iconic Mickey beignets, that many guests have speculated its popularity may be one reason Disney began restricting access to the boat transportation to Port Orleans Resort to hotel guests only.
