The Disneyland Hotel is the original of the three on-property hotels at the Disneyland Resort. It is an AAA Four Diamond hotel with a modern design, featuring three different towers paying homage to the theme park’s original lands, as well as a Disney Vacation Club tower themed to Disney Animation.

The Disneyland Hotel is located at the west end of the Downtown Disney District, at about a 10-minute walk from the entrances to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure, and at about a 5-minute walk from the Downtown Disney Monorail Station with transportation to Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park.

Disneyland Hotel Room Types

The Disneyland Hotel has 973 rooms, including standard rooms, club-level rooms, suites, and signature suites. At the Villas at Disneyland Hotel, there are a few different room types available, including duo studios, villas, deluxe studios, and garden rooms.

Standard room amenities include a mini fridge, ice bucket, desk, safe, coffee maker, iron & board, Satellite TV, bathroom amenities, hair dryer, and more. Rooms sleep up to 5 adults.

Rooms with club-level service include all standard amenities as well as a continental breakfast from 6:30 AM to 10:00 AM, snacks from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, cookies and desserts from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, wine and cheese reception from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, exclusive access to the E-Ticket Club in the Frontier Tower, and personal assistance from the Club Staff.

There are also different types of suites available, including a 3-bedroom family connecting suite that sleeps up to 14 adults, a 2-bedroom family connecting suite that sleeps up to 10 adults, a 1 or 2-bedroom family suite that sleeps up to 6 adults, a 1 bedroom junior suite that sleeps up to 4 adults, and a 2-bedroom connecting junior suite that sleeps up to 8 adults.

Duo studios at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel include kitchen amenities like dishes, glasses, and utensils, microwave, toaster, mini-fridge, etc. These sleep up to 2 adults.

There are also 1-bedroom villas (sleeps up to 5 adults), 2-bedroom villas (sleeps up to 9 adults), and 3-bedroom villas (sleeps up to 12 adults) available. These include additional homelike amenities like a laundry basket, pots and pans, dining table and chairs, baking sheet, mixing bowls, washer and dryer, cooking utensils, stove and oven, etc.

Deluxe Studios are available at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel that sleep up to 4 adults, as well as Garden Rooms that are separate from the main tower and provide easy access to the pool (deluxe room sleeps up to 4 adults and duo studio sleeps up to 2 adults).

There are also signature suites offered at the Disneyland Hotel, including the Adventureland Suite, Pirate Suite, Big Thunder Suite, Mickey Mouse Suite, and Fairytale Suite.

There are magical Disney details all throughout the rooms at the Disneyland Hotel, from fireworks and pixie dust in the carpet to Mickey hands holding up the sconces in the bathroom, hidden Mickeys, classic photos of Disneyland, and a beautiful Sleeping Beauty Castle headboard that lights up and plays music when you press a button.

Goofy's Kitchen

There are several dining options available at the Disneyland Hotel, including both quick-service and table-service locations. This hotel is home to popular locations like Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar and the character dining location Goofy’s Kitchen.

  • Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar & Grill: This Tiki Room-inspired quick-service location near the pool area offers a selection of Polynesian-inspired foods.
  • Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar: This Jungle Cruise-inspired bar offers a selection of appetizers and specialty cocktails, some of which trigger special effects in the bar. This location is very popular due to its theming, and advance reservations book up quickly.
  • The Coffee House: This quick-service shop, located in the courtyard, offers a selection of coffee drinks, breakfast items, and pastries.
  • Goofy’s Kitchen: This popular Disneyland character dining experience offers breakfast, brunch, and dinner with Goofy and pals. The location has several themed offerings throughout the year that rotate with the season.
  • Broken Spell Lounge: This Sleeping Beauty-inspired lounge in the Disneyland Hotel lobby offers a selection of drinks and small bites.
  • Palm Breeze Bar: This poolside bar at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel features modern decor inspired by Disney Legend Mary Blair. You’ll find a selection of drinks and fresh food here.

Disneyland Hotel Pools

The Disneyland Hotel has an expansive pool area, including 2 retro-themed pools and 2 waterslides, as well as a separate pool and splash pad at The Villas at Disneyland Hotel. Cabanas are available for rent.

The E-Ticket pool is the largest pool at 4,800 square feet, and the D-Ticket Pool is designed for swimming laps, with Mickey and Minnie whirlpool spas nearby. The highlight of the pool area is the two Monorail waterslides that are replicas of the original Mark 1 Monorail trains, including the more intense 180-foot-long Orange Monorail slide and less intense 80-foot-long Yellow Monorail slide. There is also a mini-slide in this area designed for smaller kids.

Over at The Villas at Disney Vacation Club, you’ll find the Palette Pool with a fun Steamboat Willie Splash Area.

Pool hours are typically 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, but these are subject to change. The pools are for Disneyland Hotel guests only, and you need to wear a wristband to utilize the pool area. You can get your daily wristband by visiting the Pool Concierge on the pool deck.
