Best EPCOT Restaurants Ranked 2024

The Walt Disney World theme park most known for food would be Epcot. So, how do you choose the best Epcot restaurants when there are many choices between table service, quick service, and snacks?

For some people, picking your favorite restaurants at Epcot theme park at Walt Disney World is like selecting your favorite child. Many people cannot do it. When you factor in all the different food festivals that happen throughout the year, narrowing down the best Epcot restaurants looks almost impossible to many.

However, we have taken on this task. Our goal with this resource will be to point your group in the right direction regarding dining at Epcot. The decision will be challenging since Epcot offers guests almost as many table service dining options as Disney Springs. When you factor in the numerous quick service dining options around Epcot, the total number of dining options skyrockets. Did we mention that Epcot plays home to food festivals most of the year?

We will divide the best Epcot restaurants into three categories, table service, quick service, and snacks.

Best Epcot Restaurants: Table Service Dining

Table service dining indicates that a restaurant accepts advance dining reservations. You should expect a server to take your order. Guests will be expected to tip their server after the meal is complete.

Many table service options at Epcot fill up with advanced dining reservations quickly. Guests should remember the 60-day reservation booking window. Also, with the return of the Disney dining plan for guests starting Jan. 9, 2024, we have begun to hear speculation that the booking window for table service will be farther out than just 60 days. For your latest updates, subscribe to the MickeyVisit newsletter for information if that changes or any other news about Disney or Universal theme park resorts.

Hardest to Acquire Advance Dining Reservations for Table Service Restaurants at Epcot

space 220 restaurant epcot entrance

Based on the latest data from users of MouseDining, a Walt Disney World table service reservation finder service, we know which table service dining options are most searched for. The list below starts with Space 220 as the most searched-for reservation. Spice Road Table is the least searched-for advanced dining reservation at Epcot.

  • Space 220
  • Space 220 Lounge
  • Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
  • Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria
  • Teppan Edo
  • Garden Grill Restaurant
  • Le Cellier Steakhouse
  • San Angel Inn Restaurante
  • Coral Reef Restaurant
  • La Hacienda de San Angel
  • Rose & Crown Dining Room
  • Takumi-Tei
  • Tutto Italia Ristorante
  • Nine Dragons Restaurant
  • Biergarten Restaurant
  • Chefs de France
  • Monsieur Paul
  • La Creperie de Paris
  • Spice Road Table

This data gives you a good idea of how diligent you must make your reservation as early as possible. For instance, Space 220 and the Space 220 Lounge, a separate reservation option to the main Space 220 dining area, will have reservations disappear quickly. In contrast, Spice Road Table and La Creperie de Paris will have reservations available close to the dining timeslot.

Best Epcot Table Service Restaurants

For our best Epcot restaurant list, we narrowed it down to the best options in EPCOT along with the most popular, must-see restaurant experiences.

Best Epcot Restaurants: Table Service

Here are some of the best and most popular Epcot table service restaurants.

Space 220

Space 220 offers a pre-fixe, 2-course meal at lunch, and a 3-course pre-fixe meal at dinner with modern American foods. This food is also themed to fit the galactic experience like Space Greens or Blue Moon Cauliflower.

This is one of the higher-priced restaurants at EPCOT but the demand is high for this experience due to the simulated experience of dining in space. Read our full review of Space 220 to see why this restaurant experience is so popular. We really love the desserts and enjoyed the entrees.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall

Akershus Banquet Hall is the princess-character dining meal at EPCOT and is the second most popular dining experience in the theme park. The setting also matches the theme as you dine inside a medieval castle. We know that castle dining experiences at Walt Disney World are popular, like Be Our Guest and Cinderella's Royal Table at Magic Kingdom, so it's not surprising to see this one also rank at the top of the list.

This princess-character dining experience features Norwegian-inspired food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast includes traditional favorites like pastries, scrambled eggs plus Norwegian waffles. Lunch and dinner include field greens salad with lingonberry vinaigrette, traditional kjØttkake (Norwegian meatballs) and grilled salmon.

This is another pricey character dining experience however many guests feel the setting, food, and princess interactions are top notch here. You can see our review of EPCOT princess dining at Akershus Banquet Hall for more details on the experience!

Biergarten RestaurantBest Epcot restaurants

This restaurant, located in the German area of the World Showcase, provides a buffet dining adventure. The buffet contains various German-style items like traditional sausages, chicken, sauerkraut, potatoes in many forms and fashions, and schnitzel, to name a few of the items served here. For a better look at the food here, read our review of the Candlelight dining package at the Biergarten Restaurant.

The buffet at Biergarten presents some of the best-tasting food at a buffet at Walt Disney World. Even though the vegan items are more limited than we would prefer, the buffet offers something for everyone. That ability to cater to everyone earns Biergarten’s spot on this list.

Picky eaters will do well at Biergarten, also. The buffet features enough unique items and “safe” items that your group will be satisfied with.

The buffet costs $49 per adult. Based on prices for the buffet at Walt Disney World, that price fits in line. A children’s buffet costs $27.

A German-style polka band plays, creating dinner and a show at Biergarten. Depending on the time, dancing might also be happening.

Garden Grill Restaurant

Unless you want to meet princesses (like at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall), this character dining shines as the best option at Epcot. Garden Grill guests encounter Chip, Dale, Mickey, and Pluto most days.

Garden Grill is a character dining restaurant in the Land Pavilion, above the Living with the Land ride. While you dine on the farm-to-table family-style platter, the characters come by to say hi, chat a bit, and take a few photos if you like. Oh, did we mention that the restaurant rotates?

Yes, it rotates very slowly, so do not worry about motion sickness during your meal. Due to the location and nature of this restaurant, guests receive some unique views of the Living with the Land attraction as they dine. This different perspective of that attraction enhances the dining experience.

As of June 14 of last year, Garden Grill serves breakfast for $42/adult and $27/child. The breakfast menu offers many of the standard breakfast items at Walt Disney World.

The lunch and dinner menu shows off the farm-to-table style meal guests enjoy here. Lunch and dinner cost $55 and $36.

The lunch and dinner menus include fresh garden salad, grilled beef with chimichurri, barbecue-roasted chicken, seasonal vegetables, southern-style spoon bread, mashed potatoes, and mac & cheese. Remember, this table service dining is all you care to enjoy, so feel free to enjoy it.

Le Cellier SteakhouseBest Epcot Restaurants

Our only “signature” dining option on our best Epcot restaurant list can be found in the Canada area of the World Showcase. This one offers a top-level restaurant in Epcot. Le Cellier Steakhouse meets the requirements to be a fine-dining steakhouse.

A dining experience at Le Cellier can begin with the high-quality cheddar cheese soup, pretzel bread rolls, poutine, and steamed mussels. After your starters, you can enjoy the Le Cellier Filet Mignon. This steak deserves the reputation it has for being so good. You can find a better steak on Walt Disney World property (Yachtsman Steakhouse or Shula’s Steak House, both located in the Boardwalk area near Epcot). Still, the combination of excellent service and great food within a theme park makes this one remarkable.

Did we mention the maple crème brulee? If we have not, let us say that dessert shows off some Canadian pride and skill.

Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria

Best Epcot Restaurant

Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria has also earned a standout reputation among Disney fans. This table service option within the Italy pavilion of the World Showcase draws quite a crowd. Vai Napoli primarily serves excellent Naples-style thin-crust pizza.

We prefer the pepperoni topping here, but Via Napoli presents many unique and zesty toppings. Sure, you can order some spaghetti or lasagna here. Nonetheless, Vai Napoli earns his reputation based on pizza.

Via Napoli makes a great choice to bring a group. The half-meter pizza at Via Napoli scores high in terms of value at the Epcot table service restaurants.

San Angel Inn

The table service option in the Mexico area of the World Showcase, San Angel Inn, provides guests with an immersive dining experience. Epcot’s San Angel Inn Restaurante is located inside the Mexico Pavilion across from the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros!

The theme for this restaurant is modeled after a 17th-century hacienda at the base of Mayan ruins at twilight. Fans that visit Disneyland will find this ride offers a similar ambiance to the Blue Bayou inside the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.

You will find Mexican food here, of course, and there is a simple kids' menu to appeal to nearly all the picky eaters.

La Creperie de Paris

When Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure opened in the French pavilion of World Showcase, a few other additions were made to that area of Epcot. La Creperie de Paris serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The restaurant atmosphere provides a nice setting within the bust France area of World Showcase. This restaurant also has a counter service window. La Creperie de Paris serves savory galettes and sweet crepes.

The optional prix fixe menu consists of a choice of soup of the day or salade maison, one galette with a glass of hard cider, soda, or juice; and one dessert crepe for $40 makes a decent deal.

Epcot Fireworks Dining Packages

At the time of writing, the “Epcot Forever” nighttime fireworks show has returned to Epcot, but not forever. A new fireworks show is being planned for an undisclosed date. With the return of “Epcot Forever, “the two fireworks dining package offers at Epcot currently provide a decent view of the show.

Currently, Rose & Crown in the UK pavilion and Spice Road Table in the Morocco pavilion offer fireworks packages. These make good places to watch the current fireworks at Epcot. Both provide special meals and viewing areas for the fireworks. You book these dining packages like you make reservations via the My Disney Experience system.

Best Epcot Restaurants: Quick Service

Selecting the best Epcot restaurants in terms of quick service comes with a few different variables compared to the other three Walt Disney World theme parks. Epcot reigns as the food festival capital of the Orlando area. Epcot hosts four different major food festivals each year. With festival booths throughout the park, the year-round quick service options can be overlooked.

If you visit during a festival, some of these best Epcot quick service restaurants should still be considered. Of course, if you visit during a festival break, the following Epcot quick service options should satisfy you. Also, Epcot provides the most variety regarding quick service dining compared to the other Walt Disney World theme parks.

Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie

In the France pavilion of the World Showcase, Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie combines a bakery and a sandwich shop. At this quick service location, guests can order sandwiches and quiches. Also, some of the best baked goods you can find at Epcot reside at this quick service location. In fact, you can order an entire baguette. If you buy a full banquet, you can thank us for this inexpensive, tasty carb-filled snack later.

This quick service location at Epcot can be hidden from many guests. You need to move deep within the France pavilion to find this place. It will be worth it. An indoor seating area makes it easy to escape the Florida heat. Despite it being hidden, you will most likely find a queue when you arrive at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie!

Pizza Al Taglio

This pizza window near Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria offers some of the best quick service pizza at Walt Disney World. Though this differs from the pizza served at that table service location, Pizza Al Taglio provides good pizza. The pizza here will taste better than most of the quick service pizza at Walt Disney World.

On the negative side, this pizza window only opens seasonally. According to cast members, Pizza Al Taglio opens about 180 days yearly. Still, this pizza window possesses die-hard fans that obsess about it. We suspect those fans wanted Via Napoli pizza but forgot to make a reservation there.

Yorkshire County Fish Shop

The Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the UK pavilion of World Showcase presents a simple combination of beer-battered fish and chips. Get some malt vinegar or tartar sauce and enjoy some fish at Yorkshire County Fish Shop. This is one of the most popular quick-service stops at Epcot so it's worth stopping.

Tangerine Cafe

In the Morroco pavilion, the Tangerine Cafe is an easy quick service option that delivers with fresh Morrocan food. The Grilled Lamb Kefta Kebab and and Grilled Chermoula Chicken Kebab are both perfect snacking size. The Hummus Trio is also easy grab and go sustenance for those drinking around the world at Epcot.

There's a comfortable seating area just outside under a shade structure that is perfect to sit and watch the world go by.

For dessert, you may want to grab the Orange Blossom-Saffron Cake seen here with the popping orange color.

Connections Eatery

Best Epcot restaurants

The new kid on the counter service dining block resides in the area formerly known as Future World at Epcot. Connections Eatery replaced The Electric Umbrella.

Connection Eatery in the World Celebration area of Epcot sits within the same building as the Connections Café, also known as Starbucks. Connection Eatery has become a pleasant surprise for guests of Epcot since it opened. The menu looks very standard, with burgers, pizza, and salads. Still, the quality served here exceeded other burger and pizza places inside the Walt Disney World theme parks. The burgers taste better than most quick service burgers. Also, the plant-based Curry-spiced pizza creates a pleasant dining experience for carnivores or herbivores. In addition, the General Tso Chicken Salad might be the best quick service salad on the property.

Regal Eagle Smokehouse

Our last entry in this category narrowly beat out Sunshine Seasons, a food court-type area with a wide variety of options in the Land pavilion at Epcot. However, Regal Eagle Smokehouse, like most newer additions to dining at Walt Disney World, provides guests with an upgrade in food. Barbecue reigns supreme here.

Regal Eagle Smokehouse brings an enormous improvement over the previous quick service in the American area of Epcot. Here you will find a variety of BBQ dishes such as ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and chicken.

Of note, we enjoy the BBQ Burger that comes topped with pulled pork and an onion ring. The plant-based Jackfruit burger offers a surprising amount of flavor. Of course, jackfruit works well in barbecue typically.

Regal Eagle Smokehouse allows guests to enjoy four different types of BBQ sauce. Also, of note to some, Regal Eagle Smokehouse has a soft drink fountain refill station that guests can use while dining here.

Best Epcot Restaurants: Snacks

We love snacks. We hear that if you eat enough snacks, they can function as an entire meal. Though we would not recommend that strategy, Epcot makes an easy place to snack until you can snack no more. We could talk about snacks at Epcot for days. The snack talk would last for weeks if we included the food festivals with the changing menus. Fortunately, for writers and readers, we narrowed the list of the best Epcot snacks down to five.

Even we feel sad that a few snacks did not make this list. If your favorite snack fails to make this list, we feel your pain too. Still, we suggest giving these snacks a try. You can always go back to your favorite Epcot snacks afterward.

Liege Waffle at Connections Eatery and Connections Cafe

Best Epcot restaurants

With the opening of Connections Eatery and Connection Café, the Liege Waffle served at both locations makes an excellent snack. These freshly made Liege Waffles build off the Belgian-style waffle.

The waffles present diners with a puffy and chewy waffle. However, be careful since the waffle comes with caramelized sugar on top. Over at Connection Eatery, the Liege Waffle comes with pearl sugar, strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce on top. These waffle cost under $6.

Also, you can watch the waffles being made with the open kitchen view at the Connections Café. In addition, the brioche-based waffles play prominently in seasonal or special events at Epcot. You will commonly find a seasonal option here with candy pieces on top of the waffle that looks like Figment or maybe even a Guardians of the Galaxy member since that attraction resides not too far away from the Connections Eatery.

Brioche Au Chocolat at Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie

Remember Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie in the French area of Epcot that made our quick service list. Well, we needed to go back for a yummy pastry. We selected the Brioche Au Chocolat. Like many pastries here, the brioche pastry taste light and flaky. It costs under $5. This provides the proper mix of sweetness without too much sweetness.

Caramel Butter Bar at Karamell-Küche

Karamell-Kuche offers many sweet treats to enjoy in the German area of the World Showcase. This place features Werther’s® Original® Caramel candies. Please do not let stereotypes of that candy style dissuade you from venturing into this place. We chose the Caramel Butter Bar here. Nevertheless, we have never tasted anything bad at Karamell-Kuche. We have friends that spend an obscene amount of money at this place every trip with little regrets.

Maple Popcorn at the Canada Popcorn Stand

Our list needed a savory snack. The Maple Popcorn found at the popcorn stand in the Canada area of the World Showcase presents a unique flavor for Epcot guests. Sure, you can buy caramel popcorn. However, if you do, we suggest doing it in conjunction with Karamel-Kiche.

We would pick this maple version. The taste brings just enough of a savory component with the popcorn to balance the sweet maple nicely.

School Bread at Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe

The Norway area of the World Showcase provides many unique dining options for guests. The “Skolebrød” from Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is a popular snack. You need to like coconut for this one. Yet, if you do, this snack will be your favorite at Epcot. School Bread, as it reads on the Disney menu, comes as a sweet roll filled with vanilla custard. The sweet roll then receives a dipping in coconut. The combination of the filling, icing, and coconut causes this Epcot snack to be so popular.

Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe provides a few more options if you prefer to avoid coconut. We suggest the pretzel-shaped pastries or the vanilla cake with custard and almond-meringue topping.

EPCOT has some of the best dining at Walt Disney World so this is the place to come to enjoy a meal in the theme parks.
