EPCOT Breakfast Options- Best Disney World Breakfast

When starting your day, finding an EPCOT breakfast is a staple that can set the tone for the rest of your visit. With so many options available, deciding where to enjoy the most important meal of the day can be challenging.

From quick service to sit-down options, let's explore some of the best EPCOT breakfast spots to help you plan a magical morning.

All EPCOT Breakfast Options

Disney World considers breakfast to be anytime before 11:00 a.m. At the time of this article, there are currently 10 locations to grab EPCOT breakfast before 11:00 a.m. Those include:

• Connections Cafe: Opens 9:00 am
• Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris: Opens 9:15 a.m.
• Fife & Drum Tavern: Opens 10:00 a.m.
• Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe: Opens 9:00 a.m.
• La Cantina de San Angel: Opens 10:00 a.m.
• La Crêperie de Paris: Opens 10:00 a.m.
• The Land Cart: Opens 9:00 a.m.
• Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie: Opens 9:00 a.m.
• Oasis Sweets & Sips: Opens 9:00 a.m.
• Sunshine Seasons: Opens 9:00 a.m.

It is worth noting that some locations open in the morning but offer a lunch menu. La Cantina de San Angel, Fife & Drum Tavern, and Sunshine Seasons start the day with their lunch offerings. While delicious, this may not be the exact EPCOT breakfast you are after!

You can see restaurant open hours and menus before you enter the turnstiles. You can filter through a list of restaurants on the Walt Disney World website or My Disney Experience app. While we find this experience easier on the website, having information at your fingertips is nice.

When looking at menus, you will often see specialty diet options for common food allergies, including gluten, dairy, and nuts. Disney tries to make you feel as comfortable as possible while visiting the parks!

There are several areas within EPCOT: World Showcase, World Nature, World Celebration, and World Discovery. Each has its offerings, from quick service to table service restaurants. Below is a list of the breakfast available at each section of the park:

EPCOT Breakfast: Quick Service Locations

Quick service is the Disney theme park term for “food that is fast”. That does not mean it is “fast food” necessarily, but it is often a grab-and-go option. Many breakfast areas you will find early in the morning at EPCOT are quick service restaurants. Despite its quick ordering process, some truly delicious EPCOT Breakfast options are available.

EPCOT Mobile Ordering

Many quick service locations around Disney World now allow you to mobile order your meal ahead of time. Using the My Disney Experience app, you first select an arrival window at your desired location. Then, you can scroll through the menu, add all the items you wish, and pay through the app. When your order is complete, the app will send a notification, and you can pick up your items at the designated Mobile Order pick up location.

You can mobile order as long as the restaurant has arrival windows open. Some guests like to plan their entire days meals as soon as they enter the park so they do not have to worry. Others, like myself, like to wait until they know what they want to eat before using mobile order. If an arrival window is unavailable for your preferred quick service location, don't worry! You can still stand in line.

Best Quick Service EPCOT Breakfast Option: Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie

Hands down, our favorite quick service breakfast location at EPCOT is Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in the World Showcase France pavilion. They open with the park at 9:00 a.m., and you can find traditional French pastries, sandwiches, and desserts. We prefer a simple pain au chocolat with a cappuccino. But you can indulge in croque monsieurs, quick lorraines, assorted cheeses, eclairs, and various mousses.

You can access Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie two ways: the EPCOT front entrance or the International Gateway. If entering through the front turnstiles, you must walk through World Celebration and around World Showcase to the back of the park. If you enter through the International Gateway, it is an easy right turn over the World Showcase Lagoon bridge.

Runner Up: Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe

Because one option is never enough, our second favorite EPCOT breakfast quick service location is Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe. Located in the Norway Pavilion at World Showcase, this sweet spot features Norwegian bakery treats like the popular School Bread, Kringla, and Eplekake. There are also coffee drinks to pair with your pastry, like espresso and brewed coffee. You can also start the day with a Viking Coffee, an alcoholic drink with Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur and Kamora Coffee Liquer.

Best Coffee Option: Connections Café

While both options offer delicious breakfast treats, they have a limited amount of coffee. If you prefer specialty coffees like frappuccinos and mochas, head to Connections Cafe in World Celebration near Spaceship Earth. This popular spot if a first stop for many visiting EPCOT, as it is the park's Starbucks location. You will find your favorite beverages and a few special in-park options. They also have a small assortment of pastries and breakfast sandwiches for a quick meal. You may find long lines at this location! So if coffee is on your must-do, consider making a beeline to the restaurant before conquering the rest of your day.

EPCOT Breakfast: Table Service Restaurants

Table service is the sit-down option at Walt Disney World. It is a nice way to sit back, relax, and enjoy a delicious meal with your friends and family. While there are plenty of afternoon and dinner options at EPCOt, few locations are available for breakfast.

There are pros and cons to eating at a sit-down restaurant. You typically need to plan to dine in a restaurant; additionally, it can take time away from your theme park day. Quick service is better if your goal is to conquer every ride. But it is a great option to start your day slowly before your family splits off to enjoy the park.

How to Book Your Table Service Reservations

You can reserve all restaurants 60 days in advance if you stay at a Disney Resort hotel. If you are staying off property, you can make reservations up to 60 days before your desired dining date.

To book, use the My Disney Experience app, the Walt Disney World website, or call (407) 939-7529. To dine in EPCOT and any other theme park, you need a confirmed dining reservation for all guests and a theme park reservation with a valid ticket for that same park. This rule applies for each guest 3 years and up.

Joining the Walk Up List

If you find reservations are full for table service, you can typically still join the Walk Up List through the My Disney Experience app. The app will give you an estimated wait time, so you do not have to wait around for a notification. When there is an available table, you will get a notification where you can head to the host stand.

The Walk Up List can reach capacity, but you can check the app throughout the morning as openings happen frequently. If the list is full, there will be a message in red text mentioning to check back for future openings.

Best EPCOT Breakfast Table Service Option: La Crêperie de Paris

Le Creperie de Paris, located in the France Pavilion at World Showcase, is currently the only table service restaurant with a breakfast menu that opens before 11:00 a.m. You can choose a prix fixe menu, where you can enjoy a soup or salad, entree, drink, and dessert. Or you can choose your galette. The restaurant opens at 10:00 a.m. for a mid-morning meal.

The breakfast menu is similar to the dinner and lunch menu. But we still find it is a delightful way to start the morning. You can enjoy a classic ham, egg, and swiss buckwheat crepe or have an adventurous smoked salmon crepe. The menu is small, which can be tough for picky eaters. But we find it is suitable for most diners. Plus, who doesn't love having dessert to start their day? (I'm looking at you, hazlenut-cocolate crepe!)

Is there an EPCOT Character Breakfast?

Currently, no breakfast character dining meals are available at EPCOT. You must book a lunch reservation if you want to dine with your favorite Disney pals or princesses. Use Early Entry

Consider using early entry if you want to get into lines for the most popular EPCOT rides. This perk is available to those who stay at a Disney Resort hotel. You will have access to the theme park 30 minutes before standard guests, meaning you can start your day on the right foot before the crowd. Then, you can enjoy your EPCOT breakfast without feeling like you are missing out.

Ensure your My Disney Experience app is updated and loaded with your theme park tickets. That way, you have easy access through the turnstiles without any fuss. It also allows you to look at walk up lists, menus, and mobile order for your breakfast.

After all, you cannot enjoy an EPCOT breakfast if you do not have a reservation! Make sure your theme park ticket and park reservation match for the day you visit.
