Disney World Preps for Future Vacations with Big News
On April 16, 2026, Walt Disney World revealed new announcements about a classic roller coaster, park tickets, dining, and 2027 vacations.
Disney announced that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 26, 2026. Before now, the only announced timeframe had been “summer,” so this specificity of an opening date is great news for guests visiting earlier in the summer who thought they might miss it.

Disney shared the full set list of all five songs in the new version of the ride, replacing the former Aerosmith tracks. Vacation packages, park tickets, and hotel reservations for Walt Disney World trips occurring between January 1, 2027, and October 31, 2027, launched on April 16, 2026. Until this release, these offerings were only available through December 31, 2026.

With the launch of Disney World theme park tickets for 2027 comes an all-time pricing high. As has been the case for the past several years, prices are increasing with each new round of tickets made available.
