Disney Dining Plan Changes Just Announced

Starting in 2027, Disney World’s two existing Dining Plan options will change names. Another tier of the Dining Plan will be reintroduced, marking its first reappearance since the pandemic. Disney also changed the kids’ discount on Dining Plans, which we’ll go over at the end of this story.

First, let’s address the name changes. The existing Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan will drop the “Disney” from its title to just become the Quick-Service Dining Plan. This just makes the name more concise and easier to reference on both the websites and for guest use. The package currently known as the Disney Dining Plan will become the Table-Service Dining Plan. This more accurately reflects what this plan offers since the main difference from the previous plan is the addition of table-service dining credits.

The offerings for both the Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Table-Service Dining Plan will remain the same in 2027 as they are in 2026. For these plans, the small tweaks of their names are the only changes.

The Quick-Service Dining Plan comes with 2 quick-service meals and 1 snack or nonalcoholic drink per night, as well as 1 refillable mug usable at your resort hotel. The Table-Service Dining Plan comes with 1 table-service meal, 1 quick-service meal, and 1 snack or nonalcoholic drink per night, as well as 1 refillable mug for your hotel.

See our full guide to the Disney Dining Plan for more details about these existing options, including what each tier comes with and which restaurants are eligible.

New Tier of Disney Dining Plan for 2027

Walt Disney World will reintroduce a level of dining package in 2027 called the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan. The main difference of the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan is it includes two table-service meals per day instead of one.

For each guest age 3+, the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan includes:

  • 2 table-service meals per night
  • 1 quick-service meal per night
  • 1 snack or nonalcoholic drink per night
  • 1 refillable mug usable at your resort hotel

This option was previously offered before the pandemic, and now returns for the first time since 2020. Previously, this plan used to include two snack credits but only returned with one which aligns more with the other plans. It also used to include three table service meals or quick service meals and guests could pick which they preferred. The new version only allows for two table service and one quick service without that same flexibility offered.

We priced out the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan by going through a mock checkout on Disney World’s website. With this method, we estimate the 2027 cost of this plan as approximately $163.01 per adult (age 10+), per night. For kids aged 3-9, the total cost is $46.85.

This compares to the $60 price per night of the Quick-Service Dining Plan and the $99 price per night of the Table-Service Dining Plan. See below for details on a kids’ discount.

The inclusions of the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan make it the only Disney World dining package option with all three meals for each night of guests’ vacation.

We can see this option as being a nice fit for guests who prefer to pay for all of their meals upfront before their vacation begins. With the other Dining Plan options, guests still pay out-of-pocket for one meal each day. That’s not the case with this new package.

However, the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan might not be the right option for guests trying to pack in as many rides as possible into their Disney World trip, as it requires taking time to sit down for a full table-service meal twice each day.

Discount on Dining Plans for Kids in 2027

For 2027 visits, guests receive a 20% discount on any tier of Disney World Dining Plan purchased for guests ages 3-9 if a Dining Plan is also purchased for the rest of the traveling party.

In 2026, kids received free Dining Plans for the entire year. The 20% off deal for 2027 may or may not be a replacement for 2026’s freebie.

Again, since Disney’s website only displays total costs for an entire vacation, you may need to map out your trip in a mock checkout to estimate the Dining Plan cost for your travel party based on each guest’s age and your tier of Dining Plan.
