Disney California Adventure Street Party Moving
Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party is one of our favorite live entertainment productions of Disneyland Resort‘s holiday season. This staple of Disney California Adventure features floats, live musicians, dancers, and character appearances by Mickey, Minnie, and all Three Caballeros: Panchito Pistoles, José Carioca, and Donald Duck.
With its format as a street party rather than a parade, the ¡Viva Navidad! procession enters the park from backstage and makes its way to a designated performance location, where it stops for its main show elements before returning backstage the way it came. It does not travel the full length of the parade route.

In the past, ¡Viva Navidad! has entered and exited from the parade gate across from Silly Symphony Swings, with the show-stop performance space being the promenade outside of Paradise Garden Grill, near Goofy’s Sky School and Jumpin’ Jellyfish.
Here’s a photo of the gate that ¡Viva Navidad! and most other Disney California Adventure street parties and parades have utilized. The gate in this photo, however, no longer exists.

As seen in this post on X by @ScottGustin, Disney installed construction walls throughout this space as progress accelerated for the future Coco boat ride coming to Disney California Adventure.

The family-friendly Coco ride will take guests into the Land of the Dead with Miguel and his family. See more details about the Coco ride here.

The Coco ride will be located in what was formerly a backstage area. The construction site directly blocks access to Disney California Adventure’s parade storage building, so Disney has had to make big decisions about any productions that previously utilized this space.

We’ve seen these choices go a few ways so far. In the case of the Frightfully Fun Parade, which has typically been performed during Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party, Disney decided to remove the parade this year and introduce Madame Leota’s Swinging Wake – A Haunted Mansion Street Party, pictured above. The new production uses fewer floats and a modified route with different entry points into the park, one being near Guardians of the Galaxy: MISSION – BREAKOUT! and another near The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, depending on the performance time.
This brings us to the updated location for Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party.
As previously confirmed, Disney ¡Viva Navidad! Street Party will still be part of this year’s holiday season offerings at Disney California Adventure. We now know, however, that the procession will perform its main show stop in Hollywood Land, specifically, in front of Mickey’s PhilharMagic, rather than near Paradise Gardens Park.
This means it will likely enter and exit the park via the gate near Guardians of the Galaxy rather than anywhere near its former location. The street party’s new spot was indicated on Disneyland’s website to reflect this change.

We’re glad Disney decided to keep the show around and get creative with backstage solutions despite the current challenges of parade float storage.
Disneyland’s website says that ¡Viva Navidad! will return on November 13, 2026, which is a Friday, but also says that the show will only be performed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Regardless of its debut day, ¡Viva Navidad! will be performed on the following Saturday and Sunday dates this season:
- November 14, 15, 21, 22, 28, and 29, 2026
- December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, and 27, 2026
- January 2 and 3, 2027
