Walt Disney World has multiple resort pools, transportation, and other amenities under refurbishment for the next few months, as well as plans for 2027. During the winter, Disney takes advantage of cooler temperatures and lower attendance pockets to complete routine maintenance.

Disney World Resort Hotel’s Transportation Closures for 2026 and 2027
Disney Skyliner will be closed for routine maintenance from Jan. 25, 2026, to Jan. 31, 2026, and again from Jan. 24, 2027 to Jan. 30, 2027. Guests staying at the Skyliner resorts during these times will need to make other transportation plans to and from the parks, such as the complimentary resort busses.

- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s Beach Club Villas
- Disney’s Boardwalk Inn
- Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
- Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
- Disney’s Pop Century Resort
- Disney’s Riviera Resort
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
The boat dock at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will be under refurbishment until early April 2026. Boat transportation to Disney’s Magic Kingdom will be temporarily unavailable until Jan. 30, 2026. Guests should make other transportation plans to the park during that time. Other resort amenities will not be affected, but guest should expect impacted views or maintenance noise during the day.
Winter Refurbishments Come to Disney World Resort Hotel Pools
At Disney’s Beach Club Resort, the Tidal Pool will be closed for routine maintenance until early May 2026. Guests of the resort will still have access to Stormalong Bay, as well as another leisure pool, the Dunes Cove Pool. The third leisure pool, the Admiral Pool, shared with Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, will also be closed for maintenance until early May 2026.
The Old Turtle Pond Pool and Spa located at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, will both be closed for refurbishment until early February 2026. During that time, the BBQ area and playground will also be closed. Guests of the resort can still access the three other pools offered: Sandcastle Pool, South Point Pool and Miller’s Road Pool.
One of Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort’s pools, the Surfboard Bay Pool will be closed for routine maintenance until early May 2026. This includes the kiddie pool.
Guests of the resort can still enjoy the Grand Slam Leisure pool and pools located at the other two All-Star Resorts: Calypso Pool and Piano Pool at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort and Fantasia Pool and Duck Pond Pool at Disney’s All-Star Movie Resort. Both the Piano Pool and the Duck Pond Pool have kiddie pools.
Looking ahead, at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, the Luna Park Pool and Crazy Play Area will be under refurbishment from Jan. 11, 2027, until April 2027. The quick-service, pool bar Leaping Horse Libations will also be closed during that time. The pools at the Villas and Inn will still be operational.
The Bay Cove Pool and Bar at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will be closed for maintenance starting Jan. 26, 2026 until early May 2026. The water play area and the whirlpool spa located at Bay Lake Tower will also be under refurbishment during that time. All pool amenities at the Bay Lake Pool will remain operational.
