Banana Ball, an increasingly popular variation of baseball that combines spectacle with new game rules, has formed a growing relationship with Disney. Savannah Bananas Day has become an annual tradition at Disneyland, and Banana Ball teams played at Walt Disney World for the first time earlier this year. Disney has now announced an expanded partnership for a new special event.
In 2027, Disney World will host all 6 teams in the Banana Ball league in a first-of-its-kind tournament. We have dates and details for the Disney games and the full 2027 schedule overall. Mickey Visit brings you the latest Disney news and planning resources, including Disney testing a new procedure at a popular ride and Disney World’s Candlelight Processional Dining Packages selling out.

- Firefirefighters
- Party Animals
- Loco Beach Coconuts
- Indianapolis Clowns
- Texas Tailgaters

The Banana Ball Open will take place from April 15 to April 18, 2027. See the full season schedule later in this story.
Players from all 6 teams revealed the Banana Ball Open on October 15, 2026, with some help from Stitch, Pluto, Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, Daisy Duck, and Goofy, with each character representing a team.
Due to the popularity of Banana Ball and the anticipated high demand for this event, ticket sales for all 2027 Banana Ball games, including the Banana Ball Open at Disney World, will only be available through a lottery. The lottery for the 2027 season is now open and will remain live until October 31, 2026, at 11:50 PM ET.
Lucky fans will be notified directly if their name is drawn, at which point they can purchase tickets. For the Disney games, standard tickets are $35 and meet-and-greet tickets are $100.
Earlier this year, the Loco Beach Coconuts and the Party Animals competed in the first Banana Ball game to be played at Disney World.
The Banana Ball Open continues the league’s partnership with Disney. Disneyland has put on Savannah Bananas Day in the springtime for the past 2 years, featuring live appearances by the team in a cavalcade and, of course, lots of banana-inspired menu items for the day.

On Savannah Bananas Day 2026, Mickey Visit got to interview Jesse Cole, founder of Banana Ball, who told us how he’s inspired by Walt Disney’s legacy. “He put so much focus on every guest and every person that walked in here and made them feel something magical,” Cole said.
Cole noted that Walt’s dream of building Disneyland was met with opposition, “but he believed in something. That’s how we built the Bananas, and that’s how we built Banana Ball. We believed in something that a lot of people didn’t.” He continued, looking around at the crowd gathered in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, “Now, to see thousands of fans here believing in what we’re doing and seeing this come together at the happiest place on Earth, with what we believe is the greatest show in sports, I couldn’t imagine something better coming together than these 2 things.”
