Walt Disney World has gotten very sophisticated with the ways that they charge for visits to the theme parks. Tickets and the paid Lightning Lane offering that replaced FastPass are offered at variable pricing based on demand for that date.
With that sophistication, Walt Disney World leadership has also gotten savvier with the way that they have increased ticket prices in recent years. Now, for the second time, ticket prices for individual day tickets have only been increased (as compared to year-over-year dates) on the new tickets when those dates are released. More information on what this means for specific increases and how the new Disney World ticket prices compare to the previous ones below.

Disney World 2026 Ticket Prices Increase
Walt Disney World tickets for a big chunk of 2026 dates just went on sale today after the news yesterday that there would be a notable new free perk offered for resort hotel guests.
Walt Disney World tickets for travel through October 2026 went on sale this morning and we noticed an increase in prices for tickets for that period compared to the same period in 2025. The highest price of ticket during this period costs more than the same period of January 2025 – October 2025.
Notably, they did not release the ticket prices for November and December 2026. There could be a number of reasons that they choose not to release tickets through the end of the year including that those dates are just too far away. Last year they also waited until October of 2024 to release the ticket prices for November and December 2025. That was the last time that Walt Disney World had a ticket price increase.
November and December are also now the highest crowd dates of the year, according to our Mickey Visit Disney World Crowd Calendar, and have the highest priced tickets to reflect that demand. That means that this morning we didn’t get a full look at the extent of the ticket price increases that we’ll see for travel in 2026.
The highest price of ticket for a visit to Walt Disney World did not increase this morning, because a one day ticket to Magic Kingdom holds strong at $199 per ticket. It’s also important to note that the prices below are for one day tickets only. When visiting Walt Disney World for multiple days, there are different prices that represent a discount for a longer length of stay. Most guests use these multi-day tickets, though they are far more difficult to track in news like this.
Here’s a look at the comparison in prices for the highest and lowest ticket prices for these periods at Walt Disney World.

These are the current Walt Disney World January-October 2025 prices:
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom – $119 to $169
- EPCOT – $129 to $184
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios – $139 to $184
- Magic Kingdom – $139 to $189
These are the just-released Walt Disney World January-October 2026 prices:
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom – $119 to $179
- EPCOT – $129 to $194
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios – $139 to $199
- Magic Kingdom – $139 to $199
Note that this pricing is quite difficult to track and is variable to a degree that even on days where some parks are at their highest prices, not all parks are at their highest prices. EPCOT in particular, has more variance even when other parks are at their highest prices. Today I’ve seen some other sites incorrectly report some of these price ranges. The above prices have been confirmed by Disney.
So, quickly summarizing the change in prices. Now, the most expensive tickets in the 2026 January-October period have increased in cost compared to that same period in 2025. The highest dollar increase for the top tier of one day tickets during this period is a $15 increase at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. These higher prices reflect expected demand for the most crowded days at Disney World throughout the year which is typically aligned with school breaks and holidays.
At the same time, some dates are less expensive in 2026 than they are in 2025. Particularly in July, there seems to have been an acknowledgement that even though these dates are during summer break, they are not the most popular dates of the year and prices are lower.
Even though these dates are not covering the most crowded days of the year, the ticket prices for all parks but Magic Kingdom have gone up $5 more than even the highest priced ticket for November and December in 2025.
For comparison, these are the current highest-priced ticket options for each of the four parks in 2025.
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom – $174
- EPCOT – $194
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios – $194
- Magic Kingdom – $199
Based on the increases that we saw from Walt Disney World today, we could easily see the highest priced ticket – again, that’s Magic Kingdom in November and December – go up past $204 or $205 per day for 2026. The most expensive Disneyland ticket price is already over $200 for one day. We won’t know this until October of this year if the trend from last year holds.
Disney continues to increase prices even as they also offer more discounting and perks to drive attendance. Here’s a look at a chart from our study of Walt Disney World ticket price increases over the past decade. You can see the dramatic increase. For now, this highest-priced ticket is still the current price released through 2026. The highest-priced 1 Day ticket at Disney World has increased in cost by $100, a 101.01% increase in the past decade.
Why Disney World is Increasing Prices & Ways to Still Save Money
Though Walt Disney World continues to increase the standard cost of a trip, at the same time, they are discounting heavily. The travel demand from the reopening period after lockdowns has faded and international travel is going to be down. I’ve heard from a number of Canadian visitors who are cancelling US trips, including Disney visits. I expect we’ll start to see this showing up in spring break numbers from this year. In the Orlando market, demand may also be shifting with the opening of the new Epic Universe theme park (you can see my top Epic Universe rides rankings from my visit last week).
We keep track of the current Disney World theme park discounts and there continue to be plenty of options for guests who are willing to prioritize a budget vacation over an optimally timed vacation. There are options for savings including visiting on a one day ticket during the slowest, lowest priced period, and watching for discounts. Even so, there have been shifts on what time of year is the most popular to visit Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Both resorts now have substantial summer discounts which demonstrates the shift in demand from that travel period.
This is one reason that in our Mickey Visit newsletter we are so quick to share the latest discounts and savings. Disney trips can still be affordable if you spend the time to find the right discounts and are flexible with your dates.
If you are set on visiting during the most popular months and end up having to pay full price, you’ll end up paying these higher prices. That isn’t the cost that most families will end up paying. Only the most price-insensitive will end up paying these higher prices. Unfortunately, the headlines and initial view of a price for a Walt Disney World trip can drive families away just because they don’t take the full view on how a trip could be affordable via discounts and a lower cost per day with multi-day tickets. At Mickey Visit that’s a lot of what we spend time talking about.
