Deciding where to eat at Walt Disney World has become as much a part of vacation planning as choosing a resort hotel or purchasing park tickets. With a vast array of popular quick service and table service restaurants to choose from, prioritizing the ones that interest you most can be an overwhelming task.
Enter Yelp, where reviews from sometimes hundreds upon hundreds of Disney guests can help you narrow down the options. We’ve scoured through the ratings for Disney World restaurants across resort property and rounded up the ten that rank the lowest, according to Yelp reviewers. To be fair, it’s rare for a dining location at Disney World to receive a rating below 3.3/5 stars, so those that do really stand out among the gems. As Disney World regulars, we’re constantly sampling the cuisine in and around the parks. In our breakdown, we’ll highlight the primary criticisms associated with each restaurant and discuss our impressions as they relate to Yelp’s reviews. While there are still plenty of valid reasons for choosing to dine at the restaurants on our list, it’s helpful to be aware of the consensus among past patrons.

Disneyland Restaurants with the Worst Yelp Reviews
The following ten lowest-rated Disney World restaurants all have at least 100 Yelp reviews with an average rating of 3.2 or worse. Our list includes quick-service and table-service locations at the theme parks, resort hotels, and Disney Springs. We’ll explore the reasons why you may want to avoid these restaurants, as well as what they have to offer those who still may want to visit.
You can find more information to help you make dining selections for your Disney World vacation in our guide to the best Disney World restaurants ranked.
Garden Grove – Swan Hotel
Located inside the Swan Hotel on Crescent Lake in the EPCOT resort area, Garden Grove serves breakfast and brunch beneath the boughs of a 25-foot live oak tree. This table service spot offers a la carte breakfast items as well as entrees like shrimp and grits, biscuits and gravy, and avocado toast. With a dining room designed to conjure a picnic in New York City’s Central Park, it’s surprising that so many meals in this lovely sunlit space have inspired negative reviews. Its 2.4 Yelp rating comes from years of criticism calling it out for poor food quality, unjustified pricing, and unsatisfactory service.
Despite being the lowest-rated restaurant on our list, you might not want to entirely dismiss Garden Grove. All of the one and two-star reviews for this location come from 2021 or earlier, and the most recent reviews almost unanimously give Garden Grove 4 or 5 stars, primarily for the ambience, “delicious” food with “generous portions,” and the friendly staff. So, while you might not want to go out of your way to visit a restaurant inside a resort that isn’t technically Disney-owned and doesn’t accept Disney charges or the Disney Dining Plan, if you happen to be in the Crescent Lake area during the morning hours, we wouldn’t count it out.
El Mercado De Coronado – Coronado Springs
Of all the food-court style quick-service restaurants inside Disney World’s moderate and value resorts—and there are a fair few—Coronado Springs is home to the only one with almost 200 reviews and a 2.7 star Yelp rating. While these dining locations are certainly convenient for guests staying at their respective hotels and can offer a decent variety of menu items in addition to some specialties, no one should expect to have an extraordinary culinary experience at the resort cafeteria. And yet, there is a standard of quality that Disney guests expect when they’re paying Disney prices, and apparently, El Mercado De Coronado doesn’t meet it.
In their reviews, Yelp users complain that the food here is often cold and not fresh, and an unfortunate number of reviews mention rude cast members. Several past and recent guests note the unpleasant attitudes they encountered among the service employees at this location. While some guests had positive experiences at this Coronado restaurant, it seems there is still much room for improvement. Bad reviews notwithstanding, there’s always a need for a place to get a quick meal, and you can never really go wrong with a Mickey waffle.
Paradiso 37 – Disney Springs
This colorful travel-themed spot is on the water at The Landing in Disney Springs. Celebrating the cultural diversity of our continent, it offers dishes from North, Central, and South America and boasts a “tequila tower” stacked with 37 varieties as well as an international rum bar, drawing 21-and-over crowds at night, especially on the weekends.
Despite its bar scene and festive Latin atmosphere, Paradiso 37 only averages 2.8 stars on Yelp, with inconsistent, hit-or-miss reviews. Some guests rave about the amazing flavors here, while others say the food is overpriced and underwhelming. While some reviews praise servers for being friendly and upbeat, others mention having to repeatedly ask for water or waiting too long for food and service. The many reviews expressing appreciation for the fun environment, live music, and spacious outdoor patio are offset by those slamming the restaurant for general uncleanliness, noting dirty countertops and bathrooms in addition to grime on surfaces throughout the dining area.
As a hotspot for nightlife at Disney Springs, it makes sense that staff may have trouble keeping up with orders and that the space could quickly become messy. However, Paradiso may need to consider hiring some extra staff to help keep up during those busy times on nights and weekends.
Pinocchio Village Haus – Magic Kingdom
I admit I’m sad that this Fantasyland counter service spot seems to struggle to provide consistent quality, since Pinocchio doesn’t have much of a presence in the East Coast Disney parks otherwise. On the positive side, the Italian-influenced restaurant is housed within a quaint cottage with lovely decor and theming from the movie. There are even a couple of hidden gems inside. Through the main dining room and to the left, you’ll find an enchanting blue stained-glass window featuring the Blue Fairy, and beneath it, a book where you can record your wishes in hopes of having them granted. Upstairs, if you’re fortunate enough to find a free table by the window, you can dine with a view of “it’s a small world,” and wave to the boats as they pass below.
Its charms aside, though, Pinocchio Village Haus receives a Yelp average of 3 stars, due to the rather chaotic nature of the food pick up lines, as well as the often unappetizing menu items here. Multiple reviews compare the flatbreads to cardboard, and the chicken parmesan sandwich certainly isn’t getting much love either. It’s a shame that such a picturesque little eatery continues to offer lackluster cuisine, but at least it’s a convenient place for families with picky eaters to get their pizza and chicken tenders with fries.
The Diamond Horseshoe – Magic Kingdom
Once the home of a musical Western dinner show, much like the Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue over at Fort Wilderness Resort, The Diamond Horseshoe is now a table service restaurant located on the border between Liberty Square and Frontierland. It has a classy Old West saloon vibe, with a self-playing piano on stage and artwork depicting America’s westward expansion on the walls surrounding the dining area. Friendly cowpoke cast members greet guests with a “howdy,” and serve up an “all-you-care-to-enjoy” feast of roast turkey, pot roast, oven-roasted pork, mashed potatoes, stuffing, veggies, and mac and cheese.
To be fair, the majority of Yelp reviews contributing to The Diamond Horseshoe’s 3-star rating aren’t terribly recent. Over the past couple of years, many guests have given the restaurant 4 and 5-star reviews praising the food, service, and atmosphere. The very few negative reviews from the past year mention bland food and a long wait for service. Additionally, one recent reviewer was unimpressed by the theming and decor. While The Diamond Horseshoe is often overlooked and not quite as immersive as Liberty Tree Tavern, with which it shares a kitchen, we think it could still be worth a visit, especially for those who enjoy home cooking with a historical flair.
Katsura Grill – Epcot
Katsura Grill is a quick-service restaurant in EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion, with menu items like sushi, udon, ramen, teriyaki, and curry dishes to give guests a break from typical theme park fare. It offers indoor and outdoor seating, but the tranquility of the outdoor location, positioned along a stream whispering through a bamboo forest, with Japanese lanterns hanging overhead, is the star here.
While its Yelp rating is a very middle-of-the-road 3.1 stars, the worst thing reviewers had to say about this place is that the food can be unremarkable at times. It may not be the best meal you eat at Disney World, but we certainly wouldn’t rule out this restaurant for a quick-service meal. We appreciate variety on a Disney menu, particularly inside one of the parks, and there certainly aren’t many places where you can get Japanese food at the resort.
Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe – Magic Kingdom
Themed after the Pecos Bill tall tale short from Disney’s Melody Time, Frontierland’s premier quick-service restaurant has seen better days, and boy, do folks have a lot to say about it. While seating is still plentiful inside the dark, air-conditioned tavern-like dining areas and outdoors in the shade, gone are the beloved fresh toppings bar and the southwest burgers and sandwiches of yore. These days, the menu at Pecos Bill is a bit like a lesser Chipotle, with create-your-own tamales, salads, rice bowls, and nacho bowls, featuring a selection of soda-flavored chicken, pork, or beef. There’s also a barbecue bacon burger, for those still hoping for a burger situation here.
Reviews slamming this restaurant for the reduced quality of the chicken, smaller portions, crowds and long wait times, poor service, and inedible menu items contribute to its 3.1 Yelp rating. Unlike many of the other restaurants on our list, most of the negative reviews for this one are recent. We’re as disappointed in the decline at Pecos Bill as the average Yelp reviewer, and we would love to see the return of the OG fresh toppings bar, along with some fresh grilled chicken on the entrees.
Overall, Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe is still a decent place to grab a bite and find some respite from the Florida weather before catching the Festival of Fantasy parade, or perhaps while watching it. However, it might be best to stick with the burger, nachos, or churros for now.
Rainforest Cafe – Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs
Like its sister Landry’s restaurant, T-Rex Cafe in Disney Springs, Rainforest Cafe is an attraction in its own right. The dining area immerses guests in the sights and sounds of the Amazon, from lush tropical vegetation and cascading waterfalls to animatronic jungle animals and thundering rainstorms. Food here includes typical American-style fare, like burgers, chicken, steak, seafood, and pasta. Very family-friendly.
Reviews for Rainforest Cafe are hit or miss, averaging at a 3.2-star Yelp rating for both Disney World locations. Many reviewers acknowledge the atmosphere is the main draw, but complaints about mediocre entrees and slow service appear regularly. Some Yelp users also criticized the crowded environment and noise level. Overall, we still think the theming at this place makes it worth a token visit, especially if you have young kids, but we wouldn’t prioritize it over other themed dining experiences at the parks, like Sci-Fi Dine-In or 50’s Prime Time Cafe.
ABC Commissary – Hollywood Studios
The dining at Hollywood Studios tends to get a bad rap, but despite ABC Commissary’s 3.2 stars, it actually has several recent glowing reviews on Yelp for its shrimp and carnitas tacos, as well as the buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich, which apparently has a bit of a cult following. Negative reviews mention the limited menu, which offers a chicken salad sandwich and a Mediterranean salad, in addition to the aforementioned entrees. The kids’ menu also features a grilled ham and cheese sandwich.
Personally, I don’t mind taking a lunch break in this air-conditioned space with an art deco TV studio vibe. I mean, it’s no Docking Bay 7, but any quick service restaurant that offers something other than burgers and chicken tenders piques my culinary curiosity.
Planet Hollywood – Disney Springs
Another restaurant with a 3.2 Yelp rating, Planet Hollywood, has been newly re-imagined as a VIP experience inside a turn-of-the-century-inspired building, with relics of old Hollywood on display and a giant, state-of-the-art video wall providing entertainment. Guy Fieri has helped revamp the menu here with an exclusive selection of burgers and sandwiches, along with shareable starters, and a Bistro Sirloin Steak.
While reviews are still peppered with a smattering of complaints about the loud music, crowds, wait times, and pricey food, there are an overwhelming number of 4 and 5-star reviews in 2025, raving about the ambience and delicious food. Seems like it might not be time to write off this touristy Disney Springs establishment just yet.
