Disney College Program Sets Cast Member Auditions for 5 Cities

Applications are now open for the spring 2027 semester of the Disney College Program. Participants in this internship work in the Walt Disney World theme parks or hotels and live in dedicated apartments very close to Disney property. Applicants hoping to be a character performer during their College Program must complete an additional step in the application process, and Disney shared details on what that looks like for the forthcoming semester. This follows a recent eligibility change for the Program.

Disney will hold auditions in 5 cities to cast character performers for the spring 2027 Disney College Program. 5 Cities Holding Character Performer Auditions

Disney College Program participants may be assigned to roles in attractions, merchandise, custodial, or food & beverage departments, among others. Students interested in working in entertainment as a character performer must attend an audition separately from completing the general Disney College Program application. Auditions will be held in 5 cities, listed below.

Performance experience is not necessary. At the audition, applicants can expect to learn and perform a brief across-the-floor dance combination, like in a parade, and then may be asked to learn and perform an animation combination and a movement combination.

Disney Live Entertainment is seeking energetic college students interested in the Disney College Program at the Walt Disney World Resort. For full details on the Disney College Program, please click here. Performers are needed to bring to life the world-famous Disney Characters. Character performers play before thousands of guests each day in Character sightings and greetings, across the Walt Disney World Resort. Some performers may have the opportunity to perform as Disney Characters in our parades and events, and as Disney Character Look-alikes.

Please note that all performers, including those in our shows and parades, and Disney Character Look-alikes, also perform as fully costumed Disney Characters. This involves wearing potentially large body costumes, heads and feet, some with limited vision and range of motion, and exposure to hot and humid weather. Applicants should create a profile on DisneyAuditions.com before arriving at the audition. It’s also recommended that applicants complete their separate Disney College Program application before auditioning. After auditions, the character performer role will only be assigned to auditioners who have accepted an offer into the College Program. The College Program acceptance offer will be delivered before the results of the audition.

• Nashville, Tennessee | October 5, 2026, at 10:00 AM | Location: School of Nashville Ballet
• Atlanta, Georgia | October, 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM | Location: Elite Studios

Disney will also hold a non-College Program open call audition for character look-alikes in New York City on October 2 at 10:00 AM.
