1. Radiator Springs Racers
Radiator Springs Racers takes Guests on an exciting journey through the quaint town of Radiator Springs. Located at California Adventure Park, this ride, along with the rest of Cars Land, makes you feel like you’ve entered the movie Cars. After you’ve climbed inside your own car, you’ll drive through Ornament Valley, past the glorious Firewall Falls, and into Radiator Springs.During your ride, you’ll re-visit familiar scenes from the movie and experience new ones of your own. Depending on which route you’re on, you may get a paint job from Ramone or have your tires changed to whitewalls by Luigi and Guido. You’ll also see other familiar faces such as Doc, Mater, Flo, Sheriff, Mack, and of course, Lightning McQueen!Towards the end of your journey, you’ll meet another car full of fellow Disney Guests at the start of a finish line. Here’s where the fun really kicks in. It’s time to put the pedal to the metal and show off what you’ve learned from your training. It's time to race around the track and see which car wins!With a height requirement of 40”, many families are able to enjoy this ride together. Guests hurry to the queue as soon as the park opens up for the day, leading to instantly long lines that last throughout the day. For guaranteed access to the ride, you can purchase a Lightning Lane Single Pass. With this information, we've created lists of the average wait times for Disneyland's most popular rides. As you can see, Radiator Springs Racers averages nearly over an hour waits consistently making it the ride with highest wait times.
2. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance provides a ride experience that’s never before been had. Through the use of multiple ride systems, larger than life sets, props, animatronics, a movie-like soundtrack, and in-character Cast Members, this ride puts Guests right in the middle of an action-packed Star Wars scene.When the ride first begins, Guests are met by BB-8 and Rey, who fill them in with vital information. It’s not long before everyone agrees to help the Resistance and set out on a secret mission. As you make your way to your destination, you’re soon stopped by the First Order who captures you and locks you in a prison cell. Luckily, the Resistance quickly forms a rescue plan and secretly breaks you out. As you’re taken to safety, you’ll find yourself in the middle of a battle between the Resistance and the First Order. During your daring escape, you’ll come face-to-face with Storm Troopers, flying laser blasts, live cannons, and even Kylo Ren!This ride also has a lower height requirement of 40”, which means many children and families are able to ride. Besides families, and regular Disney Guests, Rise of the Resistance also pulls in a large crowd of Star Wars fans, who visit specifically to experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.Initially, due to its popularity, Guests could only ride Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance by joining a Virtual Queue. Later, the ride transitioned to a regular Standby Line and the option to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane. In the past, Rise of the Resistance saw waits of up to 7 hours. While the wait times have gone down tremendously since then, it still remains the ride with the second highest wait times at Disneyland.
3. Space Mountain
Space Mountain is an exciting indoor roller coaster that takes Guests on an out of this world adventure. Taking place in total darkness, the tracks of Space Mountain wind, twist, and turn as you journey through space and back down to Earth again. The occasional drops, jolts, and speed of the coaster add to the thrill of the ride.Unlike its predecessor at Walt Disney World, the Space Mountain at Disneyland has a height requirement of only 40”. Again, when rides have lower height requirements, they are prone to have longer wait times since families with children are able to enjoy them as well. Indiana Jones Adventure is a thrilling ride, where you’re tasked with the mission of finding Indy. Unfortunately, it seems like your only option is to search for him in a cursed temple. As you speed through the temple on a troop transport, you’ll come across many obstacles such as booby traps, mummies, giant insects, a collapsing bridge, and the infamous rolling boulder.This ride is one that pleases multiple generations of Guests. 5. Toy Story Midway Mania!
On the midway of Pixar Pier, you’ll find Toy Story Midway Mania! This 4D ride takes Guests through a series of interactive midway-style games. During the ride, you’ll test your skills at an egg toss, baseball throw, ring toss, and dart games. Throughout the ride, you’ll see some of your favorite toys such as Buzz Lightyear, Woodie, Jessie, Trixie, Hamm, and the green aliens!Toy Story Midway Mania! has no height requirement, which makes it a fun ride for Guests of all ages. 6. Haunted Mansion
Haunted Mansion is a classic Disney dark ride that has been a fan-favorite for decades. On the ride, Guests take a spooky journey through the mansion. After passing transforming pictures, Guests are ushered into a portrait chamber where the walls seemingly start to stretch. After finding the one way out, and making your way through a dark, dusty hall, you’ll climb aboard a Doom Buggy and start making your way through the different rooms and corridors of the old house.Everywhere you look, you’ll see something creepy. From an opening casket, to a floating candelabra, rattling door knobs, and a floating head, your spine will be tingling the farther you go. However, you can rest assured that the happy haunts that reside in the mansion mean you no harm. Join in on their swinging soiree, as the grim grinning ghosts come out to socialize in the graveyard. With the popularity of this ride, it’s not uncommon to see high wait times. This ride sees especially long lines during the holiday season when it undergoes a The Nightmare Before Christmas overlay. This past year, a Virtual Queue was required to ride Haunted Mansion Holiday. However, to ride the regular version of the ride, you can use Lightning Lane Multi Pass or wait in the Standby Line.
7. Matterhorn Bobsleds
On Matterhorn Bobsleds, Guests take off on an icy journey through the Matterhorn mountain. As your bobsled twists and turns through the caves, you’ll find that you’re not alone on the mountain. A ferocious Yeti has claimed the Matterhorn as his own and doesn’t seem happy that we’re around.This ride is a fast-paced and exciting roller coaster. 8. WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure
As we visit WEB Workshop for an Open House, we see Peter Parker accidentally lose control of Spider-Bots after they get stuck in replication mode. Before long, Spider-Bots are everywhere. Luckily, Spider-Man quickly appears and starts webbing them to gain control of this techno infestation.Spider-Man asks for our help, and of course we say yes! To better assist, we climb aboard a WEB Slinger vehicle. During the ride, our mission is to see how many Spider-Bots we can web. 9. Soarin' Around the World
Soarin’ Around the World is a realistic hang gliding simulator ride. As you make your way through the skies, you’ll see famous landmarks from across the globe. Keep a lookout for places such the Great Wall of China, the Eiffel Tower, the Matterhorn, the Taj Mahal, and more. On your journey, besides seeing beautiful sights, you’ll also feel gusts of wind in your face and smell the scents of the landscapes that you’re flying over.With a height requirement of 40”, Guests both young and old can take part in this amazing experience.
