Pixar Pier Incredicoaster and Incredibles Neighborhood
The Incredibles Neighborhood will have a 1950’s look just like the movies. The former California Screamin’ roller coaster has been totally rethemed into the Incredicoaster.
The backstory of the attraction is that the Incredibles family is at the dedication of the new town roller coaster. Both Edna, the eccentric costumer, and Jack-Jack are too short to ride so they wait in the VIP room while the rest of the family enjoys the ride. But, out of nowhere, Jack-Jack escapes onto the coaster track and the entire family has to struggle to catch him.
The existing ride structure has been updated with new show scenes throughout including vignettes at the opening and end of the attraction and now fully enclosed scream tunnels. The updated roller coaster will have a new look for the ride vehicles and updated launch area and loop mechanisms. The coaster will have a new score from composer Michael Giacchino who take inspiration from the scores of both Incredibles and Incredibles 2.
Also in this neighborhood you’ll find a character meet and greet with the eccentric costumer from the Incredibles, Edna Mode.
Pixar Pier Toy Story Neighborhood
The popular carnival game attraction, Toy Story Mania!, will be the anchor to this playful neighborhood and the ride is not changing. A large icon of the redheaded, yodeling cowgirl, Jessie, will be in the plaza area, and King Triton’s Carousel will reopen as Jessie’s Critter Carousel. Guests can corral fun animals, such as an armadillo, bunny, buzzard, raccoon, skunk, turtle, rattelesnake, and deer.
Poultry Palace is replacing Don Tomas Turkey Legs and will look like a giant carton of takeout chicken. There will also be a revamped churro stand called Senor Buzz Churros where you can buy different variations of this delicious treat. Guests can also meet and greet Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and other Toy Story characters at Pixar Pals where a bandstand will feature a new musical troupe.
Pixar Pier Inside Out Neighborhood
This new neighborhood will be on the western side of the boardwalk and will feature the beloved emotions from the movie, such as Joy, Sadness, Anger, and Disgust.
Details are still coming out on this new area, but we know it will feature a new family-friendly attraction which is scheduled to open at a later date. This new attraction will be in the space occupied by the Maliboomer years ago. This attraction will feature the five emotions from the movies, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust.
Pixar Pier Promenade
PIXAR PIER (ANAHEIM, Calif.) –Summer 2018 will bring a transformed land when Pixar Pier opens for guests to experience at Disney California Adventure park, featuring the new Incredicoaster inspired by Disney•Pixar’s “The Incredibles.” This artist concept illustrates the four new neighborhoods that will represent beloved Pixar stories and the newly themed attractions that will be found throughout the permanent land of Pixar Pier. (Disney•Pixar)
The Pixar Promenade will feature characters from the other popular Pixar films. Mickey’s Fun Wheel is being painted a bright blue and each of the 24 gondolas will feature a different Pixar character. Don’t worry, folks – the iconic face of Mickey Mouse will still be on the side of what remains MICKEY’S Fun Wheel. The Games of the Boardwalk will now have a Pixar theme to them. Bullseye Stallion Stampede will remain, but the other games are changing to WALL-E Space Station, La Luna Star Catcher, and Heimlich Candy Corn Toss.
The area that contains the attractions Jumpin’ Jellyfish, Golden Zephyr, Silly Symphony Swings, Goofy’s Sky School, and The Little Mermaid along with Paradise Gardens will now be called Paradise Park.
Pixar Pier Dining and New Restaurant
There will be more options for Pixar themed food. You can purchase Mike Wazowski bread from Pacific Wharf Café and a Sully Premium Popcorn Bucket at all popcorn carts. There is also a Mike Wazowski Sipper cups from the quick-service restaurants. You can enjoy a refreshing beverage in light up tumblers featuring Nemo and Dory as well as a Mike Wazowski Sipper. You can also purchase a very cute tumbler featuring the Pizza Port claw reaching for the Aliens from Toy Story.
Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff will sell candy, slushies, and other sweets, and Treasures in Paradise will now be Knick’s Knacks. There is also a quick-service restaurant called Angry Dogs, that sells, well you guessed it – hot dogs!
You can also enjoy an Incredibles 2 Corn Dog, which is hot link sausage stuffed with pepper jack cheese and surrounded by a Cajun chicken sausage. Wow I can’t wait to try that! The Paradise Pier Ice Cream Company will become the Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats. This new frozen treats shop will serve a lemon equivalent to the Dole Whip.
Ariel’s Grotto restaurant and the Cove Bar closed in January and will reopen as the new Lamplight Lounge. The updated theme will be a place where Pixar animators would come after work and will include sketches on the walls. Guests can enjoy cocktails and appetizers upstairs, and a full menu downstairs. It is an expansion of the popular Cove Bar.
