One of the best parts of the Disneyland Halloween celebration is the limited-time foods that are offered across the resort. There are countless elaborately themed treats and fun new offerings during the season—see our full Disneyland Halloween food guide for details and free Halloween food printable!
We were hosted by Disney for the first day of Halloween at Disneyland and had the opportunity to try many of these new Halloween foods! We really enjoyed all of these and will share our thoughts on the best ones below, plus our overall thoughts on the Halloween offerings.

Strawberry Pie-filled Beignet
The first item we tried was the Strawberry Pie-filled Beignet from Tiana’s Palace, which has a strawberry cream filling and is topped with strawberry glaze. When Tiana’s Palace first opened, they mentioned there would be seasonal beignets featured for different celebrations, and we were excited to see this new offering.
The beignet has a nice, tart glaze on the outside. The interior is creamy and not super overpowering in its strawberry flavor. We enjoyed this but wish there was more as it was gone quite quickly!
Pumpkin King Cold Brew
Another new item we tried was the Pumpkin King Cold Brew from Royal Street Veranda, a Joffrey’s Pumpkin Creme Brûlée Cold Brew, with pumpkin spiced creamer, toffee chips, and Jack Skellington décor Crème brûlée.
All of Disney’s coffee is quite sweet and this is no exception, but there is a nice clear creme brûlée flavor. The toffee chips on top provide a nice contrast in texture. This is one of the best Disneyland seasonal coffees I’ve had recently!
Monstropolis Float

Next, we tried the Monstropolis Float, an Ube-dusted DOLE Whip with Pineapple and Mango with passion fruit coconut juice and lychee fruit.
This is so cute, and I’m sure this will be a popular treat based on that alone! It is quite sweet and doesn’t taste too different than a standard pineapple dole whip but has a bit of that tropical passion fruit coconut flavor shining through, and the lychee was a nice touch. I think it was very worth it just for how visually cute it is alone!
Boo-gogi Toasted Sandwich with Corn Cheese Soup
Another item we tried was the Boo-gogi Toasted Sandwich with Corn Cheese Soup from Jolly Holiday. The sandwich contained marinated beef, grilled onion, mozzarella, and kimchi aïoli on sourdough and was served with corn cheese soup.
This does not photograph very well, but it was hands-down my favorite out of everything I tried! Every bite was juicy and flavorful and the sauce is delicious. There is quite a lot of meat in the sandwich.
The soul is creamy and thick, similar to a corn chowder. It provides a nice contrast to the sandwich. The soup is just slightly spicy but not majorly so. This would be a great meal to enjoy on a cold day, but even on a hot day, it was delicious. I daresay this rivals the popular seasonal beef Birria sandwich that we recently wrote about here.
Candy Corn Float
Next, we tried the Candy Corn Float from Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream. This consisted of Fanta Orange with mango sorbet and whipped cream.
The float was refreshing, and it was fun to see the different colors swirling together. There was a slight bit of creaminess from the sorbet and whipped cream, and it tasted like a cream soda when everything melted together.
Fantasyland Garlic Cheesy Brat
We tried the Fantasyland Garlic Cheesy Brat from Edelweiss Snacks, a Bratwurst in a cheesy garlic pretzel bread. This is a perfect, satisfying afternoon snack and the addition of the Bratwurst to this favorite offering takes it to the next level. It’s a little messy to eat with the creamy cheese spread but super delicious and filling. Dip it in a little bit of mustard on the side if you want to mix up the flavor.
If you're looking for a quiet spot to escape the Halloween crowds, this sitting area is always a great option and one of our favorite secret spots at Disneyland.
Chile Verde Chicken Flautas
For Plaza de La Familia in Disney California Adventure, we tried the Chile Verde Chicken Flautas from Paradise Garden Grill. These were topped with avocado spread, shredded lettuce, crema, queso fresco, tomatillo salsa, and pickled onions served with Spanish rice and refried beans topped with nopales pico de gallo.
This was a nice portion size! The sides were slightly spicy and flavorful. This is a great choice if you’re looking for a fuller meal while at Disney California Adventure.
Halloween Novelties at Disneyland
Beyond the special Halloween treats, there is also a wide variety of Disneyland Halloween novelties released for the celebration like sippers, glow cubes, tumblers, popcorn buckets, etc. are all super cute and popular with visitors! See the adorable Mickey Jack-O-Lantern Sipper above.
Halloween Foods Overall Thoughts
Disneyland will release guides for limited-time seasonal celebrations throughout the year like Lunar New Year, Halloween, and Christmas at Disneyland. Sometimes, these items can be hit or miss, with some really blowing us away and others ending up rather missable. What struck me about this year's Halloween food offerings I tried was that I thought every item was impressive.
We tried a nice blend of savory and sweet items throughout the day and were not disappointed by any of them, save for my comment that I wish the portion size was a bit bigger for the strawberry pie-filled beignets. The Boo-gogi Toasted Sandwich, Monstropolis Float, and Pumpkin King Cold Brew were standouts in my opinion, but it is hard to choose favorites off of this list. Of course, there are several more Halloween items we haven't yet tried, but overall this year's offerings seem to be quite strong overall!
